  • This is the most amazing thing ever. "Thing"..."Ever" This means it beats anything from any subject at anytime/place :)

  • @LowellFromWings I totally agree with you, this is the most amazing and moving live performance I have EVER seen!!! *____*

  • I have to say, EA does sound like Tori, but why does it matter? They are totally different artists and genres. Sure, I do prefer Tori, however I like EA. They both express emotions through music, and that is why I love them <333 Hopefully that made sense!

  • kocham

  • I like Emilie Autumn, but don't fool ourselfes - Tori Amos, with Covers, written almost 350 piano compositions and she gaved record number of concerts all over the world, impossible good music and 20 years on music stage. Emilie Autumn - 2 short albums after 7-8 years and she can't sing live. Tori sings better than in studio in her live performances.

  • to be that good...

  • I love how they went crazy when she began...lol

  • That Star Trek thing in the beginning makes me laugh so hard :p

  • Who could possibly dislike this?

  • A Goddess indeed.

  • Tori says it like we never can. That's what makes her indispensable and a goddess.

  • OH MY MY!!!!! I think this is the most moving musical video I've ever seen! It's absolutely indescribable!!!! O.O I'm speechless, I can't helping bowing to this goddess...

  • this is by far the best live version of this song ever

  • haha 0:27 she is so cute. :)

  • 3:55 her eyes are telling about how angry she is. It's definitely not because of her fans tho.

  • nah i don't think she was angry, i think she was just intensely into that song

  • I love her!

  • ... at least when you cry now, he can't even hear you.

    Aye, at least that

Only Tori to make so much pain sound beautiful

  • i dont think shes pissed, i think she went to a place in her head to perform this song, and then she was done, and moved on. she just gets really into her songs.

  • @plurboy15

Maybe you're right, but some of her audiences have been downright OBNOXIOUS and rude - woudn't surprise me if she was ticked.

Mad or not - she composed one of the greatest songs I have ever heard in my life. Blood roses electrifies every single cell in my body.

  • @RanIntoSomeConfusion It's the best song ever. By far. This album is my favorite all time album ever. EVER.

  • You're right - she looks WAY pissed when she flings them off !

Pardon my ignorance - but what are the headphones for anyway?

  • so she can hear herself and buffer out sounds...

  • @RanIntoSomeConfusion

Ah - I just read somehere that she has used the "half" headphones for such songs as "Blood Roses" & "Caught a Lite Sneeze" to keep timing - not to block sound.

  • She looks soooo pissed off when she throws off her headphones :p

  • Still hard to listen to this song.

  • @FireThought why??

  • ew. if anything she sounds like tori. emile autumn is no where near as talented as tori amos.

  • hey that wasn't meant as an insult, you all can stop giving me thumbs down. I think this is awesome, I just mean the style reminds me of Emilie Autumn.

  • I'd say they're too different...

Both have amazing lyrics, but the point is too different.

*I'm talking about Emilie's older stuff.

  • @plurboy15 i love how ten people gave this a thumbs up!

  • @plurboy15 I actually don't think Autumn sounds anything like Tori, neither does she have anywhere close to the same amount of talent

  • @plurboy15 How dare you pit two women against each other! Tori would definitely disapprove of this nonsense. You're no better than Kate Bush fans.

  • @TearInTheirHands LOL. What about all the shit Tori said about Kate, Jewel, Alanis, etc.?

  • "I shaved every place where you been, boy. said I shaved every place where you been"

    love this song

  • 0:04 did she do V for vegan with her fingers?

  • Live long and prosper. From Star Trek

  • because the crowd wouldn't stop screaming.. also when she stuck her tongue out at the crowd. trying to get them to calm down and just listen, lol

  • NO. Tori is a self confessed food o' holic.

  • lol, for vegan. no. lol star trek man!

  • I don't even know how to describe how much this song means to me.

  • does anyone else get chills when she extends that one "graces" part? Gets me every time

  • Yes! Who wouldn't?

  • Also, when she does "come on"...mmmm!!! *picks up jaw* everytime.

  • Harpsichord love <3 <3 <3

  • That screaming there!! so funny!! xD

  • she gave me loads of hugs once

    pretty dose not describe her

  • God knows I know I've thrown away those graces!

  • She's crazy...But I LOVE her =D

  • sometimes we're nothing but meat.

  • Tori Amos, you never looked so insane! ;)

    wonderfully talented lady...

  • Her voice had such a nice quality back in '96.

  • How has it changed?

  • It used to just have an amazing, soft, soothing quality. even when she would make weird noises with it, it was just very one of a kind and amazing. now, it has changed. its hoarser. she sounds more whiney. when she plays her older stuff at shows, her voice doesn't sound as complimentary. makes me sad, but i guess we all change over time.

  • i couldn't agree more...even the piano sound has changed..in 94, 96 bose sounded great. now piano sound from late bootlegs is bad..!!! tori's best live audio is from hey jupiter ep or past the mission ep

  • I agree, her overall sound has completely changed. I guess this is inevitable when you grow as a person and an artist. I'm willing to guess her old songs don't sound the same re-done now because she's no longer the same person, so it would sound a bit strained, or 'fake', if she were to try singing them with the same tone and emotion used when writing them. At first, I was completely thrown off by her 'new sound', but it really grew on me. I love listening to the older songs, though. :-)

  • That being said, I think Tori Amos is one of the only musicians who allows her music to move with her personal growth... which makes her so "real", in my opinion.

  • @petalchrome I totally agree. People are constantly changing their songs because they think it won't sound right, or that it won't be popular unless the conform to mainstream stuff. You can feel her pure, raw emotion in it. And she'll make it as ugly as she wants if that's the way the song was supposed to feel. <3 Though I can't help but find every part of it ridiculously beautiful

  • hahah even hitting the wrong note she is wonderful!

    love this song! :*

  • hahah even hitting the wrong note she is wonderful!

    love this song! :*

  • heheh she hits a wrong note on the harpsi!

  • Eeek! I love it when she does things to the croud like making faces!

    I love it!!

  • Her face and features are so beautiful.

  • Love her - my fav - Thanks for posting.

Hey to all you sexy people out there : )

  • Tori once had a boyfriend who was a closeted gay. This song chronicles that. Obviously the "I think you're a queer" makes that clear, but other subtle clues include "chickens get a taste your meat" and "when he sucks you deep."

  • What? Really?!! Was it Eric? Where did you get this information?

  • I don't know where I read it, but it was a veritable source. And I have no idea what his name was. :P

  • it wasn't Eric :P

  • hey hey remember me misty? im gonna post my cover of this finally!

  • hey hey remember me misty? im gonna post my cover of this finally!

  • Tori Amos is a Goddess, please listen to more of her music!

  • I have never heard of this woman...

    Her music is awesome!!!

  • ...really?????!!!! That's awesome:) Check MORE of her stuff out! She's by FAR my favorite composer;-)

  • soooo agreed.

  • Songs should be about what they mean to you... Not someone else

  • See, finally some insight!

  • yeah, i'm a queer too..

  • I believe we all are in our own way!:)

  • I LOVE this version! I love the Live in Vegas version as well...It just sounds so dark and haunting with all the instrumentation Anyway, is it me or does she not look really pissed when she takes off her headphones at the end of the song?

  • Pissed? Perhaps deep emotions...

  • she does like pissed at the end

  • Love this song!

  • God I love her...

  • At the second 4, ¿is that the vulcan hand salute from star trek movie?

  • I'm pretty sure this song is about rape.

  • its actually about her sucking on a girls neck and her boyfriend coming in on her doing it. she wanted to know what it was like to be a vampire and suck on a neck. so he called her a queer and gay and things. hence when she says"you think im a queer, i think yur a queer" and she talks about how she gets pissed off at him for that and she wants to chop him up in little pieces and feed him to chickens.hence the "chickens get a taste of your meat"

  • The lyric is "When chickens get a taste of your meat girl". The song is clearly about rape. Look at these lines:

You gave him your blood and your warm little diamond.

He likes killing you after you're dead.

I shaved every place where you been boy.

I said, I shaved every place where you been, yes. Ahaha...

  • she said in an interview that thats what its about. so your wrong.

  • Is that video up on youtube?

  • no. it was on tv. trust me. i know these things. im not one to lie about something like this.

  • you're right.

    MTV I believe?

  • im not sure but i saw it somewhere. you can prolly find it online somewhere.

  • just for reference tori has said she's said things to steer an interviewer off track

    so, make your own conclusions!

  • she wrote this after reading the book "Possessing the secrets of Joy" in it, it describes female circumcision brought over with some of the slaves from Africa that was being practiced on a lot of girls in the south. They would remove a girl's clitoris and then throw it out to the chickens. it's a very disturbing part of the book. Hence "chickens get a taste of your meat line." The rest of the song is very much about rape and terrible relationships between people.

  • where did you find this information

  • Aren't you thinking of Cornflake Girl?

  • This is my favorite version of Blood Roses. Incredible.

  • Girl u are the best and this song too, and about what does it talk??? jajaajaja really i dont know

  • this is the best live recording of this song.

  • i agree

  • She sounds alot like Kate Bush

  • yes shes been compared to her quite frequently.

  • i think this song is really sacry i you understand its meaning , its about aids , i love

this song and the wingnett piano... its a amasing song jsut listen to the words and you under stand what it means ...............

  • this song isnt about AIDS.

  • Ooooohh, perfect! XD

  • Superb!!

    **Thanks for sharing!!**

  • what the hell?

    or as Hyde says...

    its Cool...

    Whatever...

    lol

  • i love the harpsichord as well as her voice..

  • The harpsichord is cool as shit!!! her musical talent is awesome. its good that someone actually comments on her actually piano works as well as her voice.

  • I love her voice it is so unique

  • Superb. Stellar. Beyond belief... that's what she does to me... she makes me proud to be alive and in the same orb as she is. Thanks very much for posting.

  • when was this show?

  • I love her reactions. You can see it in her eyes and facial expressions that one of her keys/chords of a bit off (8 seconds in, THAT chord, everytime she hits it it's a bit off). I like to think at the end when she starts pounding the harpsichord that's it's an expression of frustration! hehehe

  • She has great climaxes to her songs

  • This is WONDERFULL!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

  • I don't know if I should cry or jack off.

She's so frightenly beautiful and talented.

This is four of the greatest minutes I have ever experienced.

  • lol

  • laugh not, coz I speak the truth, and then some.

  • Definitely my favorite version of Blood Roses.

  • She did an amazing job with this RAINN benefit...love it!

  • One of my favorites!!!! Now get back into the studio Tori!

  • Apparently she's working on a new album, and its supposed to be 'edgy' again. :) I'm excited..
