Holy cow Eric! I was begining to think I was the only one who remembers Stompers. I ran though a pack of AA batteries a week playing with my Stompers. I also had Burning Key cars too. they were a little bigger then Hot Wheels & there was a key you stuck in the spring loaded ass end of the car. when you squeeze the key the car shot off like a rocket.

Hi Buddy. I'm doing good I'm a female mechanic and love watching this show I would love to make a video working on some of my pain in the but cars like VW or BMW. any tips?
eric, i have a h22a and i just broke my exhaust camshaft holder. its just the part that holds the dizzy in. and i was told that i cannot change the cam holders because its matched to the head and a replacement could cause, binding or breaking. how should i go about fixing this?
That day was a tough one. My friends 2005 Hyundai Accent 1.6 L whit the G4ED-G enigen, the frount pipe broke at the flex pipe part.. To make matters worse the part was allready pulled from the local Pick N Pull yards, could't get a new pipe at the parts store because Hyundai atleast here in Sweden, made them patent protected so you could only by it a the Hyundai dealership... but... a frount pipe from a 2000 to 2002 1.5 liter G4EB enigen was the same part! Fixed!
Alfa Romeo was the first manufacturer to use a variable valve timing system in production cars (US Patent 4,231,330) courtesy of wikipedia for those wondering
I think your work is good stuff. A low buck project car is where you should go. Crowd source ideas, ignore the bad ones and get local viewers to donate parts and beer or uh milk. Dont ever give up
@earthpod . Actually I think it's a good idea. I'm so pissed I live so far away... in Europe (Romania). I would like to be his apprentice. He is a really good "car guy" which is really hard to find these days.
Good job Eric, have a nice day, and thanks. Since I discovered your channel I have a better life. I just can't wait for your new posts. Take care, bye.
had a pretty good friday the 13th (knock on wood), just finished up another week at lincoln tech. going for diesel, can't wait to get out and find a job in the field!
just finished pulling the heads off of a mercedes MBE 4000, 2 cracked liners, 1 melted piston and a bunch of chunks of piston cooling nozzle in the oil pan. not looking foreward to torquing main caps back up, 250lb-ft and 180 degree turn
It's interesting that Honda is going away from it's Integrated Motor Assistance plan, which is very basic as far as hybrids go, and looks to be employing the Toyota design to add power to the front wheels on their 'top-end' car. I'm curious to see how it works out.
Hey hey doing well..Cold here ..Good news I did my own water pump repair on old F150..also had to get a new upper radiator hose..Oil change ..Brakes..I been hauling junk took its toll..but woot woot my 21 gallon 125max psi compressor showed up today ..all in all things going some how.. Peace Eric stay warm!! :)
you cant say that honda hasnt done much lately, what about the 2011 honda clarity, the first hydrogen powered production car or have you even heard of it...
Today sucked! The shop I work at is slow, so the more experienced techs are doing EVERYTHING, even oil changes and inspections. I've been moving cars and plowing snow for two weeks straight, and my boss is perma-coked up, and won't tell me the same thing twice, then blames me when his plan topples. But I'm going to school this spring for diesel shit and can't afford to change jobs.... FML, ETCG! LOL! Feels good to vent a lil. Thanx for that!
Hi Eric! My day went good, but my mind is on Tuesday the 17th. I'm a student at TSTC Waco being a judge for the high school agg tractor competition that day. After that I'm going to go celebrate my 21st birthday! Don't know what to do exactly, other than go have a few drinks and a steak dinner or sumthin, then go to Spec's and buy some beer, bourbon, and a fine cigar. I wanna party the rest of the night with my friends, but trouble is most of them are broke, and Waco is BORING! Any ideas?
today i seized the engine in my 93 civic si.. I went to junk yard and they were closed.. but at the end of the day i am still smiling although I have an engine swap to come!
hybrid or not, no one ever get the advertised gas mileage, my dakota should be average 16mpgs and its about 12.5-13.0, i guess the "estimate" is a little generous lol.
Hey Eric is there any way you can try to get some diesels in the shop? I would really like to see some diesel stuff, prefferably cummins in the shop so us diesel boys can learn something new to! Keep up the great work I cant tell you how much your vids have helped AND entertained me.
Hey Eric its going good I got a big project coming up, well for me atleast, I will be replacing my clutch on my car (93 accord) because it has been slipping more and more often so i figured better now then when its completely gone.
Well, I`m quite fine today. At least it`s Friday :) and I spent half the night listening to music I have not listened to in half an eternity! Hope you`re fine, too.
Pretty good here, Eric. How are you? Just got done with my first week of automotive classes; electrical systems and brakes. It seems little different, but it was the first week of classes. I'm sure we will be working more in the shop later on, we have 3/mo's and 3 wks left when the semester is done.
Busy weekend ahead, my wife is having a party, so I've got daddy duty, then installing a dishwasher for my m.i.l. Finally changing the starter contacts in a friends
Hi Eric, got a little project lined up ahead of me next week. I own a Nissan Skyline R34GTR and it has been tuned to the nuts! Thus making it a bit of a noisey beast, so next week i am making myself a special Silenced Decat pipe to help lower the db readings a bit and i'll probably get a baffled exhaust bung too... Hopefully these won't create too much back pressure and rob me of my Horsepower!
Next Monday I got my final practical examination in my apprenticeship to a automotive mechatronics and i got a good feeling also because of your Vids. I´ve learned a lot about you and i´m so happy that I found your page.
Great FATR today, i´ve enjoyed looking at it :]
Hope you enjoy the weekend and i´m sorry for my bad english i think but i´m pretty much out of exercise ;)
Today I'm looking out at the snow coming down sideways. A bit hesitant to head out on the roads as I am yet to test the RSX I adopted a few months back. Am I being too cautious, or do I drive a front wheel drive sleigh?
Feeling pretty awesome from Aviano AB Italy. We have mechanics here but they sure as heck can't work on american cars, plus parts are ridiculously expensive. For example: full set of brake pads for a 2008 wrangler $400. Thank god for online part companies. Thanks for the vid Eric.
How am I today ?,.. tired out as usual for a Friday - the end of another 1000 miles per week commute,(thank God for Honda reliability !). looking forward to a chilled beer. Great video's Eric. A Scottish fan.
The shop has been crazy busy lately! I've been flagging an average of 4 hours a day! Can't wait to go back to work and stand around for 3 hours between LOFRs!
today I had a totally wasted 300 mile round trip to view 2 jaguar xj6, both described as excellent, both rotten as old fruit.....liars!! most of a tank of fuel gone too, not happy!
The only other channel that I really enjoy as much as ETCG is briansmobile1 and his videos are all awesome I don't think I could pick my favorite one to submit. Those 2 channels are the best on YouTube
@nicewknd That channel is great too lots of detailed information I am subscribed to it. I also like richpin a lot, but ETCG and briansmobile1 are my favorites.
woo who My days awesome now I was finally able to contribute to FATR!!! That and its Friday oh yeah and I get my tractor back from the shop today (I had the hydraulic control valve rebuilt)
i used to spend my allowance on stopmers id strip the gears out of em.....tearem apart and make em freewheel like hotwheels....thanks for the fond memories.
as for the milage for the honda civic hybrid, it depends on how you drive.
a very light foot will give good results, plus everone knows that what they say is not 100% correct since they do the test on a treadmill in a hanger so no wind resistance or weight comes into play.
My Civic says it gets 7.3L/100km(32MPG) combined i am getting 6.5l/100km(36MPG) combined.
further more hybrids have to be driven in a totally different manner compared to non-hybirds to get good fuel economy.
I was working on a Veyron SS 3 Weeks ago - i put a multimeter in the wing and started to melt because the exhaust is right under it - fun times - boss didnt like it that much tho
@GolfVariantCL PWOHHH! Lucky man you are. I havn't even seen a veyron in my life, and you have been lucky enough to be able to be in close contact working on it...Amazing :O
Good thanks: recently got a $13,000 birthday present as I turned 17. Got a stunning 2007 Ford Focus Zetec manual 72,000 kms . Had to get the Zetec because of the sports suspension and 17inch alloys. This 1st car would last me for years.
