  • Honestly, humans shouldn't make others achieve what they cannot especially when they are not as hardworking, diligent, and disciplined as others. This is extremely saddening that animals are dying from being abused and injured and worked against their own will. Just because they can't speak, doesn't mean they have nothing to say.

  • and here I thouught the lure was on a pulley system with cables and a winch to pull the lure back to the start again, with a motor at the far end to pull it at speed.

  • How did they get hurt ?

  • i have fostered a retired racing greyhound and have owned two retired racers (one i currently own, 14 years old). what they do to those animals is terrible! support for causes like Greyhound Pets of America (GPA), etc. are soooooooooooo important.

  • i wouldnt have a problem with this sport if it was just for fun of the dogs but when you put money in it i dont like it..my friedns and i always watch our dogs race eachother and laugh about how much fun they have that way.

  • why do they put a live wire on there?

  • awww this needs to stop....using dogs for money!!! shame on u!

  • its a fun sport to watch but when u c this i mean its just wrong

  • @1hardycena i know right but like what iselenebee5531 is right usein for money wrong but ur right to

  • @1hardycena i know right but like what iselenebee5531 is right usein for money wrong

  • this made me cry :'( greyhound racing should stop!

  • @cftdd it's not horse racing as such it's mainly steeple chasing ...

Greyhound racing NEEDS to stop !!

  • BOYCOTT GREYHOUND RACING.

  • I gave it a like because it shows the truth.

at least the racing industry could apply fees for the retirement, R&R , and health care when you consider how hard those dogs work, and how much the industry profits from them. It's the same in horse racing, abuse in abundance.

    will humanity ever be humane?

  • Greyhound racing is an abomination

  • Greyhounds are wobderful

  • i adopted a current racer to stop this!

  • WHY THE HECK IS THE FENCE ELECTRIC IN THE FIRST PLACE??!!

  • @LipGlossgossip2010 it's not the fence that is electric. it's the track that is just behind the fence that the "lure", runs on.

  • i hate this!!!!

  • I hate the stupid @#%*€- people that are so stupid thinking that greyhound racing is cool and guess wat? There s a crowd of people cheering!now how is greyhound racing going to stop!

  • These poor greyhounds deserve way better treatment. I'd doe something about this like donate money or something

  • My dog didn't "come back" from a broken hock but she makes a great couch potato... Solitary Raven, 13719, 62A

  • i would like to buy an island and take all greyhounds there and let them run freely, so there would be no harm to them. i love greyhounds

  • @barragan198 that's such a beautiful thought <3

  • First video: the fact that the camara panned away before the lead dog finnished leads me to believe that the dog was still on the track. so either the racingmanager should have stoped the race before to prevent further injury to other dogs. the hare operator could have used some comon sense and stoped it, or one of the trainers could have run out and got him (they do at our track). Inside hare rails are common in america but they're fu***ing dangerous. Im england we mainly use the outside rail

  • why do they have live wires on a racetrack right where a dog could reach one anyway??!!

  • I have only 1 thing to say We humans suck

  • It looked like both animals broke their legs. I really didn't know Grey legs were that fragile. So sorry for the dogs.

  • Stupid sport.

  • i think this is a very very cruel sport and should be stopped. i have a retired greyhound named happy times and he is the best dog ive ever had, there like gentle giants

  • dog racin is rong if a dog is to old ta race it is shot neglected abandonded starved or.....sent to..research labs...were they be given a deisese to make another @#!$% medicine go to gray hound racing for more =()!:(:(:(:(:(those arnt hppy

  • @madkwonusa Not all are. Some are sent to shelters and rescues and adopted into happy, loving families.

  • :[ aw

  • Poor things... :(

  • Screw all the people who actually thinks this is right!!!!

  • I have a retired racing greyhound as a pet and she is the most wonderful dog in the world...I love her to bits...she is like another child to me that is how important she is. Greyhounds are intelligent, affectionate, loving dogs. This is beyond cruel. Please don't bet support his cruel 'sport' by betting, and please consider adopting a greyhound.

  • thts sad they didnt even stop the race to let tht injured dog out :(

  • Hope all the tracks will close soon and this "torture" will end !!!

  • It's very telling that the camera in the first race didn't show the last quarter lap... there was probably quite a mess on the track that still needed cleaning up.

The faster they go out of business because they can't compete with the casinos... the better.

  • I agree, racing is wrong in the first place. Its even worse when the greyhounds get injured and abused.

  • is it common for these dogs to just fall/ stumble during these races? I was expecting to see dogs bumping eachother be the cause of the falls

  • i would say yes going at that speed.

  • this make me nauseated.. I can't believe they allow this...

  • i use to work at the palm beach kennel club and there were atleast 10 dogs that broke there legs and were killed in 3 months. It was crazy you would have to run out to carry the dog off with its leg hanging by skin and blood getting all over your shirt, it was nuts! Absolutely disgusting

  • @ultrafreshsolid.... know how you feel. i work at the crayford greyhound track in england. having to watch 2 grown men strugle to carry a dog writhing in agony with a broken back .... lost a lot of sleep over that one.

  • Sorry if this is a dumb question, but why did he have to be euthanized because of the broken legs? I understand it with horses, but a greyhound?

  • I could be wrong so stop me if i am but i think it may have some thing to do with the fact that after a broken leg they are no longer able to race or some thing like that.

  • @giantrobot9000..... true to a point. depends on the trainer and the owner. greyhounds can sometimes come back from a broken hock (main bone in the rear leg) but mostly anything on the front legs will have a much harder tim healing and the dog would most likley never race again. so its put to sleep in many ocasions.

  • thats horrible. Those poor dogs. They tried so hard, and because the people forced them to race they died. I know its not really true, bt sometimes things like this come across to me like murder or animal abuse. You force a dog to race, and pretty much kill it. :/

  • looks like a disloactionn??

  • this is shameful...and disgusting...why is this still allowed? they are such amazingly beautiful dogs and should not be treated like this. it just makes me sick...it is only for the greed of money and not for the welfare of the dogs.
