I am blown away, I thought I new my music...I have never heard of this artist or group....I dig their sound...wow....and you say they have been around for awhile...wow...
D'Influence will always remain in my books as just one of those so talented soul groups from the UK that are so good and yet did not get or rather get the props they deserve.
@OjBlack100 Its the same with Drizabone, another fantastic talent along with Omar, Fried and Incognito to name a few. Instead we get JLS and Lemar getting the publicity! Sometimes I feel like I'm living in a different dimension to the majority of 'music' listeners in the UK, I just don't understand it.
@maccagrabme Your comment is on the nose especially the current state of the mainstream. To be fair D'Influence never really got the recognition they deserved even back then when UK R&B/soul was going through a renaissance. Ironically, they were prob best known for Kwame 'discovering' Shola Ama. Anyway this is a tune. I haven't heard since it came out. I remember the vid ffeat. a cameo by Shola. The Box did an interview to promote it. I reckon the bassline is a Maze sample?
Yes Novabossa, this mean base line rocks the house ! I love both D-influence and Eric B. and Rakim (Check out a young C.S.I. Gary Dourdain in the background of the "Move The Crowd" video). But I'm sure the base line came from Fonda Rae & Wish "Over Like A Fat Rat".
ratmcrew I F&*^ING LOVE YOU For posting this track I've not been able to find the singer and title of this song for like a few years years, first heard this song 98 in South Africa I am one happy woman right now!!! (^_^)b
They were an amazing group. Love the fact that their bass line was taken from Eric B. and Rakim's 'Eric B for President'. The Masters at Work mix of this track was special too.

This song is using a sample from Maze featuring Frankie Beverly's "Before I Let Go."
The Masters at Work remix is the version to hear.
