Political longevity is easy. You find what the electorate's hot buttons are: rascism, boat people, whatever . . and then press them. It works, and you can be in power for years and do very well out of it personally. Menzies made the model, and Howard replayed it. Whether real understanding of the issues or their results by the public, or whether the country is any better off at the end of it is irrelevant. You have been there a long time. A la Menzies, a la Howard.

I dont normally think this way, but if ever there was a fellow Australian I would want to see erased from history, it would be THIS horrible liar who divided a nation, put our young defence people in harms way, and told untruths to stay in power. Im so glad he not only lost the election, but his seat also. Thats exactly what greater Australia thinks of you, you pathetic excuse for an Australia.
