That's correct, this song is indeed based on Canon. However, Demis Roussos, and Aphrodite's Child, also did this and it was called Rain and Tears. I have noticed the remarcable resemblance myself.

Thanks Chris. I'm really glad you like this, until I started creating the backing track on my keyboard I had never heard this before, but did remark to Jackie that this reminded me of "Canon". It turns out that it is based on that tune. Anyway I hope I have done this song some justice.
