@KenjiPlaying That's an apples and oranges comparison. The PLAY is a very large device. If you don't intend to make heavy use of the gaming, there's no reason to buy one.

I finally tested this phone at Verizon today, it's quite slick. No bigger than my original Droid and buttery smooth Android performance. The gamepad slide out is springy but firm, very solid overall build, button placement is small but bigger than the DS and is quite comfortable. Screen is bigger, brighter and clearer than my droid. Battery life will be more than acceptable because it's NOT 4G or dual core. I'm getting this phone!

@Popper3300 I THINK this version is just CDMA and is not a GSM world phone like some of Verizon's Droid phones, meaning it doesn't have a SIM card slot. So no unlocking to use on other carriers.

@Popper3300 It is a CDMA phone, so it could never work on AT&T or T-Mobile - and would only be able to function with limited abilities if you managed to get it programmed for Sprint.
