  • Great dance. Looks like a lovely wedding. As a piper I can tell you I hate it when the audience claps. They can never keep a beat. Cheers.

  • was this at a wedding in ireland

  • @nave712 No in the United States

  • @smroney so is this like an irish wedding in america

  • You symbolized mixing the cultures in a very fun way. You both look very happy.

  • i am half cherikee indian and half irish

  • God created whiskey

to keep the Irish from ruling the earth

    Bobby...

  • @palonejr If the Irish ruled the Earth, we'd be able to drink in public. Think about that one. You'd never be bored at the park watching the kids again.

  • very cute idea, its a highland fling, from Scotland not irish dance, but its a great video ;)

  • Isn't that music Scottish not Irish? I mean the bagpipes are an instrument native to Scotland not Ireland.

  • @redsun2001 Actually, they're just associated with Scotland the most. They use them in Irish folk music as well.

  • ahh ! this isnt irish dance! its highland dancing from scotland! still lovely though

  • AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! The clapping is driving me insane!

That dance was very beautiful. I hope they are happy together.

  • @NeverMindBird

me too!!! clap in time or dont clap at all! but cute couple dance any who

  • If you are looking for a piper in the South East of England, contact Bob on scotspipersathotmaildotcom.

Remember - no piper ...... no event!

  • why do us irish people have a distint look about us

  • I know what you mean... I live in New Zealand, but my Ancestry is Irish and people often say how Irish myself and the family look! =) (also, Ireland is the only place that feels like home).

  • @84katharine Because intermarriage between different ethniticities is not historically common? this is the result of an insular culture. "purity" of the cullture creates deep roots, but also change is the key to survival. Irish people are very special, that is for sure.

  • do u have to be irish to have an irish wedding? cuz i really love irish stuff but i have no irish histoy at all but i really want to have one someday

  • Top of the morning to ya!

You absolutely can have an Irish Wedding. I had a Celtic handfasting Wedding. Granted, my name is Patrick and I totally look Irish, So I could get away with it. I think that most Irish people would feel honored if you chose to have an Irish wedding even if you aren't Irish. Good Luck to ya!

  • Coolness Thanks Patrick :) yeah cuz i really wanted one cuz i love the Group Celtic Thunder have u heard of em? if not look em up there Amazing and i was going to have an irish theme and play there music at my wedding when that day comes so thanks again :) good day to u

    Jen ^_^

  • um no u dont have have to be irish!

  • sweetness :) i will tottly keep this in mind then :)

  • A Wannabe Paddy LMAO!

  • That was so cool!

  • Its really cute!!

    whats the song name?

  • Cute! =) Doesn't matter if it's Scottish or Irish or traditional or a blend. We can't really help that we grew up in the American melting pot instead of in Ireland. The point is, it looks like you guys had a lot of fun, and congrats to the newlyweds!

  • im fairly sure that is traditional irish music played through the bagpipes instead of uilleann pipes or a fiddle.

  • Well hello from Ireland and that is definitely traditional Scottish music not traditional Irish. Lol

  • no your wron its puerta ricon

  • i bet these people are american.

  • we are irish...but yes american

  • Nice Job

  • Thats freakin awesome, too bad the idiot holding the camera didn't do it very well...

  • he's scottish and it's a wedding

    obviously drunk.

  • Isn't this Scottish?

  • so cool, I wanna marry an irish man

  • This is Scottish! It's the highland fling, I'm half irish so I do know what I am on about and can step dance and dance in the ceili style. Very nice music though.

  • That is so cute!!! And I love the dress. <:)

  • This is Scotish

  • No this is Irish!

  • but it's played on the highland bagpipes

  • That Is SCOOTISH (Scotish)

    lol=)

  • Love it!

  • love it.... omg ...amzing

  • sweet!

  • my grandma is irish she loved it...

  • Nice to see people having a good time on their wedding day. :]

  • to grenaider420 , and moutainrunner your a dumbass you obvisously know nothing about bagpipes so shut the fuck up, bagpipes arent just scottish , for one the pipes that we know today are scottish but the original irish pipes had two drones or pipes and the scottish simply added one so there really irish shut shut your face

  • well i know nothing about jigs being a Yorkshire man, however, this was great, all the best to the both of them

  • I would like to point out that this is a Scottish Jig, not an Irish one. The biggest clue is the Highland Pipes, which are used by the Scottish, not the Irish. The other is the dancing style. It appears much closer to a Scottish than an Irish dance.

    Just so you know

  • so so so not true!!!!!! they dont do any footwork out to the side... this is so far from scottish dancing its not even funny! irish dancing is out to the front and THAT is what they're doing.

  • gooding thing its an irish wedding huh?

  • I would like to point out that if this were irish..they would use uillean pipes, not highland....just a thought for the day

  • You can't have a procession with Uillean pipes - I play them. So the next best thing are the Higlnad pipes. The dance was suppose to be for fun! Not a big deal.

  • well, you can, you just gotta be sitting and have a lot of them. i was pointing it out, not making a big deal

  • Aye, I am sure the name of the pipe tune is 'Banjo Breakdown'. Definitely one for the great Highland bagpipes.

  • this fuckin rock!!!seems it was a great party!!!all the best tae ye!

  • This is NOT Irish... it appears to be Scottish - hint: the Irish don't dance to bagpipes!

  • i definetly recognize the jig step (down and out hop back two three four)from some of my competitions, i think the bagpipes would have only been cause they didnt have a real irish jig on them :D

  • get over yourself.

  • id just like to point out that they are VERY flat footed, i know its at a wedding and for fun but still

  • Jes....yes it is just for fun!

  • Looks like the grand ballroom at The Peninsula Hotel Chicago - is it? Great dancing!

  • It is in Minnesota, St. Paul

  • hmmm they dance better then me and my husband at our wedding dance....he kept tripping over my dress, me too, and i stepped on his feet... LOL this was all about a month and 2 days ago

  • This is Scottish music, not Irish music.

  • haha, nice dance :P

  • camera man was a bit drunk by then? love Irish music. cogratulations, greets from Mexico

  • Nice work Colin and Clare!

    Patrick

  • Awesome Jig Colin and Clare!
