Wrath was the expansion of good music. Cataclysm's music is too much about violence... and other stuff. I am really looking forward to see what Pandaria will bring.
I would lick the toes of these composers, if I could !!! I swear, for this heartbreaking first part of this piece, I love it so much... I'm always listening to the World of Warcraft Soundtrack after work, especially the chillly pieces, this is one of my favourites! :))) Thank you!
if was on my shaman about 2 years ago, it was just entering the questing area where the dark iron dwarfs are, but before i got there...i heard this song play out of nowhere, right about 0:29, then i look around and saw nothing but open plains with huge pine in the background as i saw a heard of wild horse running around.....i was like....best wow moment ever!...since then its been my favorite zone...i even made a video ...plz watch /watch?v=eQTEf3fhfXk&fmt=22
In a continent totally ravaged by death, war and ultimately, the possible destruction of the world, the Grizzly Hills and this music really make an outstanding contrast. Love this music, thats why my hearthstone is set to Grizzly Hills, everytime I hearth, i hear this and its always good, especially after a raid =P
@seattle0sound you and I agree totally. This is the most beautiful zone in the entire game. From music to locations it is a monument to what Blizzard is capable of when they really try.
My heart melts every time I hear this music. Makes me think of the lovely hiking trails here in West Virginia (Yes, I live in "redneck country", but I wasn't born here so don't judge me. ;P ). First part mainly in the spring time, but also fall, and the second part definitely fall. Oh, I love those two seasons. <3
Having heard the music in Grizzly Hills, this doesn't sound like a single track - this sounds like a combination of the Grizzlemaw intro and the Grizzly Hills intro spliced together. And very badly, on top of that.
out of all the songs featured on any warcraft OST, i'd have to say that this one is my favorite. the strings and wind instruments weave together with such elegance and power, so as to evoke grand, emotive yet humbling aural cadences. this is the best shit to smoke to as well.

Grizzly Hills is where Blizzard put all the best music of the expansion.

It's not Blizzard who makes the music. It's the orchestra that does it!

Blizzard is getting lazy.

I really like the strings in this, unorthodox for the WoW soundtrack but really beautiful.

Blagh i hate this soundtrack. You know why this song sucked and Burning Crusade music was so much better? Because they had the almighty Jason Hayes.

Super late comment is late, but I used to think the same thing until I actually played WoTLK and listened to its amazingly composed OST.

The beginning reminds me of the Opening to Crocodile Dundee
Just the opening to each though, after the strings end they're totally different.
