@gerardojuarezcaldero I'd say so, in Holland trucks aren't very popular though. Most (wealthy) people buy a Cayenne, an X5, an ML, that kind of stuff.
@zapperrapper ok, so it should be rwd car , but with option of turning on 4x4 for winter. but i suppose that you can afford to have other car for winter;)
@werbelwerbel I'm afraid it's not mine and I'm sorry to inform you I can't afford it, but I think it shouldn't be a problem to drive the car under the shown conditions. The only things I think are needed are a good set of winter tires and the DTC turned on. 4X4 Shouldn't be necessary.
bmws are amazing in the snow if you know how to drive them BUT ya id have to agree in this case an M6 with its low end tq ur not going anywhere in snow unless u got really good tires
It weighs1785 kg, that's not the reason it won't drive though. The car has a very big amount of torque and horsepower, the amount of power is just too big to accelerate without losing traction.
The way to drive in these conditions is shifting up, the car would make less revs wich means less power.
@zapperrapper: what?! You're right ok... but the traction has nothing to do with the weight and accelerator etc...in this case. This car hasnt wintertyres. Thats all.
I actually got around in my M6 drifting with Blizzacks!!

Don't they require winter tires in Holland?
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm693 4 months ago 3
@mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm693 You're not obliged to have them but they've become a lot more common over the last 2 or 3 years.

@zapperrapper I see. :D
There is "Studless Tire" in Japan.
It is very useful for drivers to drive a car in the snow and on the ice.
If that M6 are equipped studless tire, The driver can drive M6 easier and safer.
By the way, The tire which made by bridgestone is the most popular in Japan.

Why not buy a truck for winter and save this one for the summer?
xasthurhead 1 year ago
these are low profile tires and possibly summer tires. With inch or two smaller wheels and winter tires on, bmw would launch off

Beautiful car!! I just don't understand why it wouldn't drive on that ice. What's the weight of that car...?

@KanyeWestBoi The only reason why it couldn't drive are the summer tires.

I suppose the testing was performed with summer tyres.
The story is much different with Bridgestone winter tyres (my tests were made in Alps on freezing snow around -25C )
Tracking Computer adjustment is another important issue.
DSC, DTC (better in snow than DSC)
RTFM before pushing 500+ HP on snow (you will live longer).
Post scriptum: BMW traction control works better than in Corvette, Ferarri or Porsche.
