this is the best example of a band trying to do something nobody has ever done before from the sense that kurt was a great guitar player you can to tell by his acoustic stuff and he was a good singer no doubt but the thing they did different is they didnt try to do too much with the music they made it simple and unique by using a strange structure to outline his lyrics
Kurt was always the weird guy who played guitar instead of being the popular guy sitting in the basement with his electric guitar just playing weird shit that didn't make sense. He's get up walks in circles for five to ten seconds starts playing again only he was so used to playing the spaced out creative parts he just plays that part in his song combined with the chords! Amazing how he adds the weird music nerd to his popularity, it's his charm.
@jino666able I used to think the Ramones were the only ones that could top Nirvana for three chord rock...now I think Nirvana did it better....or at least with more depth.
