I might remind you Pronger, Blake, Neidermayer, Lidstrom and sveral other NHL Stars have had slumps after 2 or 3 good years, especially rookie defensemen. Though I wouldn't say Calgary lost out. Guys like Mayers will have value for other teams and the potential to bring something back. Stajan and White are both decent. White was one of my fave Leaf defenceman. He's consistent. Every damn night for the most part. I think we got the better deal in T.O. but nobody lost.
