@falarious123 That argument is such bullshit. Exhorder at their core were always thrash. Just because they slowed things down once in a while doesn't mean that Pantera ripped them off. Cowboys From Hell is more influenced by traditional heavy metal like Judas Priest and their previous glam style than it is by Exhorder.

Besides, to call Pantera "groove metal" at any stage of their career would be inaccurate. They had a ton of different influences in their music from southern rock to hardcore punk.

This is the Pantera that I remember and actually enjoyed!!! I remember seeing them in concert at a local club...I think it was Matley's somewhere in Dallas. This was back in 85' or so...I later got to see them in 87' as I was going through Army Training in Ft. Sill, OK...man I miss those days!!!
