  • Thanks for the red hot tip claire.

  • @ausingtv You're welcome. I made a superman scarecrow a few weeks ago.

  • this video was very cool! I wondered how a scarecrow was made. It's kinda of funny the scarecrow has better pants than the ones I have on. lol

    good job.

    thanks,

  • He's very fashion conscious.

  • I've always wondered if the birds get used to the scarecrow and just ignore him after a while........still give a special touch to the garden =)

  • Only time will tell. If you have something sparkly on the scarecrow, it's the light catching it that scares them away.

  • Great scarecrow. Fancy a couple of those myself.

  • Have a go. You've got to give them names though.

  • Hi Clare

I think your videos are great, you are in my favorites and have inspired me. Your video reminded me of a guy fawkes i made when I was 10 years old. Just done my first blogg about growing chinese water chestnuts. I am attempting to grow at home. search PICT2582, good luck. Roy

  • Watched your video, good luck with the chestnuts they look fab. Your conservatory is full of plants, the cactus is massive.

  • sorry the catus was given to me as owner went to australia. your plants look fab too!

  • LOL soo cute, Claire! I want one! Im thinking of making one to sit in an old lawn chair like im sitting outside. I will be sure to make it bright and colorful so it will be noticeable and shiny..maybe give it a floppy hat w/ cds or shiny beads hanging off the hat to move around or perhaps put one of those spinning pinwheels in the hat..what do u think?? hahaha

  • You can be as creative as you like. Make sure you give your scarecrow a name. It's very important.

  • like the bubble wrap idea

  • Womderful Claire... cant wait to get down the allotment again to have a go. Bet you are a wizz at making the Guy for bonfire night..

  • Did make 1 once and he was in a full suit. Got the clothes from a jumble sale and they cost me a couple of quid.
