what do you do if you want a glock 17l feeling trigger in a 19??? my 17l has a 3.5 or 4.5 trigger connector all factory glock and i am looking for the same type of trigger feel with my 19. any advice. unfortunately i can not find a 4.5lbs factory glock trigger connector to save my life.
Wanted to thank you for all the info on the glock. Have a 21 and with all your help will attempt to install the Ghost Tactical 5.0 with the wolf 6.0 lbs springs. I know it requires some triming and adjustment. But with your videos I think I can pull it off. Many Thanks. R.G.
I got a Glock 17, the trigger pull on it is good up until the end of the pull were it gets to be a really heavy pull, so all I am looking to do is make it lighter at the end of the trigger pull, will Competition Trigger do it for me? Or what do I need?
I just modified the hell out of my Glock 19: untimate trigger stop, tungsten striker and plunger, XS tritium sights, 3.5 connector, tungsten rod, Lone Wolf threaded barrel, and extensions. Was planning on using this for my carry and home defense but am taking pause now because of your concerns expressed. Why are you so concerned about using these type of mods for carry and home defense (I have read this from other people also)? Is it the 3.5 connector? What would you recommend I "undo?"
Well whenever you mod a firearm you maybe can remove some of that reliability and run into problems down the run. I mean I think its fair to say that glocks are very reliable without any mods and when doing some modding it can be up in the air. My point being I simply don't wish to risk it in my carry gun ( Know what I mean )
Trigger jobs can lead to lite strikes or flat strikes and this in my biggest reason why I don't do them in my carry guns.
@kickedintheballs2000 Not to mention Jurys and Prosecutors LOVE modified guns. A jury will HANG you in a shoot because you moded your gun with a light trigger to just kill. Trust me it happens.
It is my understanding that changes in factory configurations greatly increases liability issues in case it all goes bad and you have to use your gun to defend yourself and/or family. Especially here in Kalifornia. Do all you want to your weekend blaster, but keep the carry gun box stock with factory ammo. Good advice thanks to Mas Ayoob.
i got a mp 9mmL for production and got a trigger job from 6 plus pounds down to 4 and a half pounds. I got it from a guy from speed shooters specialties for free.
Is this a glock 22 or a 23? Is the ghost trigger connector with the tab that you have to shave also as good as an ultimate trigger stop? You mentioned in the ideo that you can use both at the same time???? Is this correct or did I hear you wrong.
The model I work on is a Glock 23. I hear one of the better trigger jobs is adding both a Ghost rocket connector and a Ultimate trigger stop + a few of them competition springs I talk about. Is one better then the other ? Well I don't know man cause I have yet to install a Ghost rocket connector.
I did a trigger job for a friend on a Sigma (yeah he's a cheap ass). Man it was a pain in the ass compared to get it done compared to what this video showed.
Overall, nice video. Pimpin Santa Clause cap, you should wear it every time you have a fireside chat with your viewers. It should be your hallmark.
Also, you need to compose a list of all this dramatic music and post it somewhere, especially this intro.
It must be hard to keep the vids coming cause you're running out of topics!
Well I been trying to give all music credits to the artist and thats why all respects are payed in the end of the video.
LOL Man I have like 500 requested videos on the " To Do " list so I dn't think I'll be running out of ideas anytime soon. Running out of money yes but ideas No lol
It sounds like you've been able to run the lighter striker spring together with the heavier trigger reset spring. All of my attempts to do so have resulted in a trigger that does not reliably reset to the point where trigger safety is engaged. Sometimes it does and sometimes it does not. I have given up on that and now run the OEM reset spring with the lighter striker spring.
Yes you make a very good point and thats why I try and point out the trigger safety in the beginning of the video because a lighter striker spring & a heavier trigger spring can do just that.
If facted the safety didn't engage everytime at first until I put some wear on the spring , so what I ended up doing is using that set-up without the light striker spring for about 2000 rounds and then went back and installed the lighter striker spring and BAM the safety seems to engage everytime now.
I think what happen is the trigger spring got a little wear and tear on it and it gave the spring some play in it. Therefore engageing the trigger safety everytime. ( This is something that I been keeping a eye on and one of the reasons why I'm a little iffy on using the lighter striker spring this year.
Titanium is indeed a very pricey option. Too rich for my blood. However, you can get a lightened steel striker. It is still not cheap at around $40-$50. But from personal experience it works 100% reliably with a lightened striker spring (At least 5K rounds fired with this combo so far).
Another option is to lighten the striker yourself. You can "skeletonize" the OEM striker by drilling a series of holes along the larger radius portion of the striker. I have not yet tried that myself.
Did you get the Rendering in HD with WWM vid I sent??
P.S. Just keep in mind with the greenscreen it will take a little more work and you may have to make adjustments every few frames. I found that out AFTER I loaded my latest vid.
I'm sure if I do try it that it will take some adjusting and overal be a pain in the ass to start with but if everything works out I may have to use it in some videos.
Im sure if you start greenscreen youll put me to shame! LOL! Just keep in mind my greenscreen is a lilttle too bright. Just try a little darker green.
Well I think it was in HD but some videos have the HD Icon and some you can Upload right to HD so the user don't have to click it.
Note : I'm still getting used to this whole HD thing so I could be wrong.
You see how much your learned man , Hell I remember when you was trying to find out just how to edit a video & now you know more then me + your using Green screens.
Hell its still a LONG road till I know more than you. Like you said a few months ago you can never get to where you know enouph. Im still working on a few things with my HD rendering Ive got to get Ironed out.
P.S. Im taking the 17 to a friends house in a few hours to get some shooting footage for my G17 review!!
Loved the video man. It really helped out, especially adjusting the screw in the trigger stop. Nice job.

lol I could not see myself drilling holes in my striker with my current gun smithing skills but you are right that could help.
kickedintheballs2000 2 years ago
I wouldn't drill holes in the striker myself either.Sounds risky You would have to drill them in just the right place to lighten yet mantain strength

I have a Springfield XD 9mm Tactical. Any suggestions on that gun. I mean I would love to do a similar mod but I don't know where to start.
deepwater1974 2 years ago
I did own a XD once but I sold it and never did get to do any trigger work with it.
Sorry man.
kickedintheballs2000 2 years ago
From what I understand, XD is not a DIY gun. You need to send it out to a gunsmith.
