@1awareness A lot of it is to do with the fact that finding good enough choristers is a huge problem, especially as church attendance has fallen. Also, many churches can now not afford to either train nor maintain choirs because of low incomes in all but the biggest churches.
Why have certain churches; given up on vocal chanting? (Ones, that I have found; only understands it half ass.)
