Can someone give me an estimate what the length of longest track in Pulse - or any of the Wipeout series for that matter - is? Are there actually listed lengths ingame in the track overview stats. to go by? Or would a lap time figured by an average m/kph speed over said lap be neccessary?

the pirahna ship breaks up a little bit like when you finish a zones race. but either way, this is the best antigrav racing game there is, g-surfers, f-zero, fatal inertia and quantumn redshift to name a few, none of them even close to the shear difficulty and fun to be had from this series.

I can assure you that F-zero GX is incredibly difficult, and fun, though I cherish Wipeout and worship both series.

Nevertheless, antigrav is always the best! ^^

oh yes gx and ax were very hard indeed, and very very good (just got gx again infact sincei brought a gamecube to play timesplitters 2 again). wipeout hd is the one you need to play though....the zones mode is just stunning

More of a "recreation" Wipeout Pure's intro was. Wipeout Pulse is more "look at the technologies, boot it up, speed through the track..." You know what I mean.

X-Project (100% Pure Mix) was the song name and shortened for the intro, and is used in the game. And Piranha Advancements didn't explode, it disintegrated and out came the logo. It was designed for the intro. Nobody shot a single item.

i think the main change between pure and pulse is that in pulse the track goes sideways and also has got improved graphics

I picked up Pulse brand new for £25 from Woolworths which surprised me and you won't be disappointed. It takes Pure and makes it better. I think it runs smoother, the controls are improved and I think you get more weapons but am not sure on that.

to add on about what the other people had to say about pulse vs. pure...pulse is waaay better from the looks of it. plus it has online, and u can customize ur ship. u can also play ur own music if u want.
