  • I'll get right on it.

  • check out my video called instant manifestation, it will give you a paradigm shift.

  • How can you return to your true nature if you are already that?

  • @Countrychiddler returning your awareness to your true nature... if your unconsciousness ( lost in thought and the world of form) you need to RETURN to your true nature? KAPEESH? LOL

  • Dear Adyashanti, I am very fortunate, my husband of 23 years has this energy that you speak of, he has never read a spiritual book or have any idea about how this all works. I am so grateful to have this man in my life, he is in total allowance of who I am and he has taught me more about living a conscious life than any book or teacher. Keep up your wonderful work, I love your energy, lots of love to you Bev x

  • @bevoliver1

funny i also know such a man, he seemed as a saint to me and since then im searching to be like him and iv found how he is like that. somehow don't aks me how this guy knew this stuff intuitivly and just lived with it his entire life. such amazing people and so rare!

  • Energy of a free being, free of opinion, much love to those who have one.

  • @joinery11 In my Divine opinion, thats your opinion...just kidding :D

Really though I do feel a Divine opinion present. Its absolutley dripping with understanding.

  • fascinating. I am what I want and I want what I am, when I return to the original nature of who I am. I don't need anything more than to be. Love to you all. Thanks for sharing, Adyashanti. Peace to you.

  • ain't no sense in the senses without a sensor or censor! talking to a 'perceived' crowd of many while actually conducting a monologue is like a comedy show! :)

  • from a different angle: there is no way you can perceive anything, neither is there a perceiver. as long as you perceive, there is ego because perceiving depends on a perceiver or an ID...melting perceiver, perception and perceiving leaves you with nothing! it will all disappear..aeh? :)

  • @ulispointofview It would be more accurate to say that perceiving requires an instrument of perception, a nervous system through which Being can shine. What we call 'ego' is really a localized story of identity that distorts or clouds our true nature. Awakening dissolves that localized story of separation, relegates it to the background, so that the non-dual, unified nature of reality is the predominant awareness. Even after awakening, localized choices will still be made: chocolate or vanilla?

  • uuuhmmm....'their' is a little iffy. there is only one energy to begin with and there also is only one being. perceiving 'their energy' divides the one being into many - it's called illusion!

  • a beautiful short vid that says it all.

    Thanks!

  • I find it truly helpful how he uses his voice to remind people of their being.

There´s actually a bit more to discover within the voice than in the words.

  • yeah his teachings aren't about learning anything, more meant to put a gap in the mind so what's real can be seen . :)

  • You can have the universe & everything within it, all you have to do is stop trying to contain it. It's u already. There nothing 2 be gained

  • Adya...a brilliant mind...a zen master. I highly recommend reading his book "Emptiness Dancing" for those looking to delve deep into the meaning of their own true nature. A statement he makes, which for me describes the essence of what we seek... "Wake up! You are all living Buddhas. You are the divine emptiness, the infinite nothing. This I know because I am what you are, and you are what I am."

  • yes u r so right. that book is briljant

  • Time after time I have experienced that there are no short cuts to the truth. It could be scaring and dangerous for you and other to try and search for short cuts in this journey for truth. The best words that I have to give is, your willingness to want the truth more than you want to feel good. Peace be with you all

  • He is talking about Meister Eckhart ( a German medieval mystic) not about Eckhart Tolle!

  • hello fellow Simon.

  • hi my friend!

  • I don't like that Echkhart charges money for his speakings. HE must be very "rich" by now! I really don't like his obsession with money, his greed. This is a wonderful message, dispite his greed. Eckart is a very greedy person that uses "truth" to accrue more money. Theravada Monks charge NOTHING! NOTHING! They give a True Dispensation of the Dhamma for NOTHING! Just out of Loving-Kindness! But Eckhart charges you! He's a "motivational speaker". The Dhamma is FREE to all!

  • How do Theravada monks eat and stay warm?

  • Why are you talking about Eckhart? The message is important not the messenger . If you are drowning and a guy pulls alongside you in a rowing boat...do you ask him how much money he has? I suggest that the money hang up is an unresolved issue in the complainant.

  • why, I really love you boat analogy.

    Thank you for that.

  • Don't be so judgemental. How so you know he is obsessed with money and is greedy? He reaches many millions of people while monks relatively few. This requires marketing and promotion which isn't a bad thing necessarily. How many people would never have heard of ET and his teachings if not for Oprah and the mass distribution of his materials?

The most important thing at this time is to get this knowledge out there as quickly as possible. If mass marketing is what it takes, then so be it.

  • I'm not there yet ...

  • More thought.

  • neither am i!

  • I tend to be cynical, but this guy is alright. I dig it.

  • Its life changing when you meet someone with the right energy. I am lucky enough to have met with such a man on severla occasions.

  • any understanding can only be filtered through the level of being @ that moment & that shimmers ... the awareness is the mirror

that holds this shimmering in stillness ...

  • the way I see it, we are already perfect, but hold on to the idea that we need to change to become perfect. Its a horrible paradox. This is why they say you are already enlightened. What we experience is perfection unrecognized as perfection.

  • Are you being naive, look at the brutality of nature. Why is it so? Why do we have a concept of perfection? If you did not have a concept of perfection what would you be left with that is or is not perfect?

  • Imagine if you could not sleep. this would be similar to if you could not die. Nature is very kind, and animals will try to prevent, but are familiar and acquainted with death in a way that we are not. What we view as brutality is a cycle of dissolution and rebirth that is never ending.

The existence of death is a great blessing.

Don't believe that I am some sort of appologist for the idiocy of modern man. Far from it. I am someone who trusts in god's works, that is, the workings of evolution.

  • I asked myself: what is it that I want that would not be this, as it is? There is nothing to get, so whatever I wanted must be an illusion. Suddenly this seemed pretty good. Thats the truth. It is perfection, God. This comes from the realization that there is FUNDAMENTALLY no way that we SHOULD be. There is only us, as we are. I simply am. And that is all.

  • beautifully put ... namaste my friend

  • bla bla bla

  • great

  • That being said, check out others videos of Adyashanti.. it's very hard to tell from this short vid, but after seeing many teachers he's one genuinely grounded and living from truth. I'm not sure what you consider an 'ordinary' job or 'normal' thing, but this man is as authentic as they come.

  • So true Haldor. There are many 'teachers' appearing, touting some form of realization. Many of them aren't living this awakening and seem to be teaching from glimpses of their true nature. At best they are throwing out more concepts to strengthen a sense of self.

  • If he (or any other 'enlightened being' truly felt the overwhelming love that so-called 'enlightenment' brings, why wouldn't they just continue to work (like everybody else has to) and then give FREE talks in their spare time? You know, like one hour every evening, five hours on a Saturday and a Sunday. We all have that much free time, so why do we have to PAY the 'gurus'?

  • You pay for value there is in these talks. If there is no value, don't go and don't pay.

  • Good Point

Truth should be free to everyone.

They could hold free lectures and still make money on CDs and DVDs.

By the way I have seen Adya many times and it is only $10 donation at the door.

But he's retreats are about $500 for 5 days or $185 for a 2 day weekend intensive.

  • the truth isnt always in society when everyone (mostly) Are not about the truth or acting truthly...

When You can finally be with a truly truth being? if ever?...

You are always of course but, illusions rule mostly so that we do not see the truth of other people even if they ARE being the truth...

Try talking about being truly with a truly being, You can learn MANY Methods to Deal with 'ordinary' work and same time be 'free':) not captured:)

  • John Sherman...humble , uncompromising , Ramana based advaita. Donations only. A fine teacher. Adya is clear too but if your finances are low try a John retreat . I'd love to go but I'm in Europe

  • One of the funniest things is seeing how different people react to different teachers. Each to his own. IMHO Adya is one of the best all-rounders in the game, as close as the world has at the moment to a teacher who has something for nearly everyone; but I can see how his Californian style might put some people off.

  • the path to true inner peace and harmony is through xanax

  • Sorry for the double post. The first comment was delayed and I assumed that it hadn't gone through.

  • I noticed a number of mixed responses to this video. It's humorous to see such certainty. Some of you may be surprised by the conclusive 'thoughts' you've chosen for truth about such an individual were you to view a wider range of clips. There's a fellow further down who mentioned this video being quite short and lacking substance to draw upon a clear evaluation. Thank YOU for that! At times I pass things off after seeing one facet of a topic or individual. Again, thank you.

A fellow mentioned further down that this video was somewhat short and untelling .... I'm glad I took his advice and didn't draw rigid conclusions. Thank You!

  • WOW!! i want sum of that SHIT ur smokin duuude.you sound like ur 'recruiting" for a CULT.and why is it that cult LEADER's always seem to have a bald head?hmmm..

  • What a pile of cow dung! "Energy of a Free Being," please!

But be sure for $250 for a weekend retreat we can absorb your energy and become free!

Are you a free being, oh, Holy Adya? Are you not fooled by your own delusions of grandeur, oh, holy one whose energy is free? Adya, are you not living a life of delusion? But what a profitable deluded life it is!

And Adya, "a living Buddha," laughs all the way to the bank! Cha-ching!

  • Watch: Welcome to Reality. Reposting what CultofCthulhu typed: I would think it would be incredibly difficult to evaluate this fellow on the basis of this short video. Having listened to several myself, and after reading some of his writings, I have to say the guy is as unassuming and open an individual as you could hope for. My impression is he is awake and has laid down all tradition for a more direct manner of conveying the mechanics of awakening.

  • Well, Adya's a "laughing Buddha" so he can EASILY be laughing all the way to Nirvana for all we know!(and acquiring incredible interest payments along the way!).

  • There is NO such "thing" as a "free being." Being IS ... No Thing Being Everything. In THIS there is no one to want or not want anything.

  • fabulous

  • Namaste

Thank you for sharing these vids !!

    ***Light&Bliss***

    Om Shanti

  • Thank you for putting the videos on. Adyashanti is truly an enlightened master. To those who know, they understand he cannot speak of these things without having been or be in the enlightened state. for those who are not in the enlightened state, his words are only words. They will only have meanings conjured up by their egoic selves and not as Adyashanti says, by their true awareness. I enjoy these videos thanks for putting them on youtube.

  • we are all awake awake weather we are realizing it or not, what does it really matter

  • No we are not all awake. Most of the world is asleep in some dream. If you were awake you wouldn't ask the question of why does it matter.

  • oh really? and why does it matter???? I never said I was awake.........and maybe you do not understand that it does not really matter MASTERSOKA that is the play leela of the divine

whether awake asleep the divine is and always will be, regardless of u or me......wee.

  • your age should drive you to the answer of that question as you are close to meeting your maker. Your ignorance should be your bliss and your reality.

  • our maker.... age has nada to do with anything especially NOW right NOW. if you are pointing the finger of ignorance beware ur pointing at ur own self/ stop stumbling

  • We put our 'teachers' in boxes. We have deeply programmed in ideas of what a 'teacher' should look like, sound like, feel like energetically.

We then limit God or Source...

'Spiritual Correctness' is very insidious...slippery...and we can't see through false/ true teachers until we learn to sense with our true intuition...

Adya feels pretty clean to me...but not a 'master'...

  • You put him into a 'pretty clean - but not a master' box. You demonstrate your 'deeply programmed' ideas appropriately. Solution: let go of them.

  • nicely put herenowall

  • Adya radiates truth, integrity, being. Of any teacher or teaching I have encountered, it is his that has moved me, through his gentleness of spirit and his words, to the vastness of being beyond the domain of the mind. I also love him very much, and I am looking forward to seeing him when he comes to Australia in October.

  • Do you want to hear lots more Adyashanti for free? Click the "(more)" button in the description section in the right-top hand corner of this page and you will see different links in blue. I personally enjoy the cd's that I have made from downloading these audio samples. Enjoy...

  • My directions weren't as good as I thought they were. The description box for THIS video is to the immediate right of the video that is playing. It has the "date added", "subscribe to", and then below that is the "(more)" button. Much love.

  • A dog "appears" to be so docile when it lays there with its belly exposed...but you know, it gets its belly rubbed...and so does this guy, hands up and all...watch the body language...you'll see who he is there.

  • i want to rub your belly now, but you didnt ask for it. :)

  • He is a felt by my heart, he is one with my inner nature, oh yes- He is one with beeing at home. It's beautiful to see that, feel that, through such a short video clip... Miraculous !

  • But he's a fraud. He's rediculous and he does not penetrate into the real problems of living. So of what use is his words?

  • i absolutely share your opinion. i feel exactly the same, i mean, it's pretty obvious actually.

  • I disagree. He's trying to get you to see beyond your day-to-day "problems" and realize that there really isn't anything to worry about. In other words, face the world head on and just experience life instead of getting caught up in all the unecessary thoughts your brain is firing out.

  • I just get a bad vibe from this. Inauthenticity, perhaps? Can't describe it. Just a strong feeling that something is not right about this guy.

  • beyondtheclouds: I don't like it that he shaves his head, I don't like it when he says "Namaste", I don't like dogma.

  • wtf :p

  • I have studied spiritual paths and teachers from A-Z and this guy is the farthest from dogmatic that i have seen......and what does his hair have to do with anything?

  • I love Adyashanti very much. His hair has nothing to do with what he says. The reason why I said that is because too many people and followers, even of new age and far eastern religions are not questioning enough. I love what he says. I'm more concerned about his followers and or any followers in the world.

  • I agree, we must always watch for that. any teacher will attract those types.he even says "beware i am addictive. i should come with a warning label on my forehead" The dogma comes in w/claims of perfection, you are wise not to blindly give away discrimination and power, we must us to look within for our own truth, not imitate. i suspect he sees himself as the proverbial finger pointing at the Moon. I am a bit of a lone wolf so i totally get you

  • I know what you mean! After watching Eckhart Tolle videos, this guy seems like a fake to be totally honest.

  • You're so wrong, how can he be a FAKE???

  • I was replying to one of beyondtheclouds's comments - I also get a vibe from this guy that theres something not quite right about him. Regardless of what I feel, his message is pretty wholesome and I'm sure it helps many people.

  • check out some of his other videos. I had the same inclination the first time I watched him. not sure if you will see it, but this fellow is one of the most authentic and genuine that I have come to watch throughout years of 'seeking'. this clip simply does the 'perception' of him no justice :)

  • you're not yet ready to digest what falls from his lips, but i prey that you one day are ready to recieve it. Be blessed.

  • bad vibes, its just that hes replaying what he has heard. nothing magical about it, the mind picks up on it quit easily. He doesnt see anything that hes saying, hes displaying what hes heard in a way he thinks it should be said for whatever reason. Good observation beyondtheclouds.

  • I have to disagree, my friend. All of your 'problems of living' come from within 'your' own mind. This man does help give us some great tools to deal with the 'problems of living'- Tools we already have! Unappiness and problems stem from our own mind in the way our minds respond to happenings in our day-day living. Happiness is an option.

  • I agree with you too. He doesn't come across as sincere

  • Please this is a request. if you dont understand something...dont judge it..

  • i have the blessing of living near adya and his satsangs. He has helped me a great deal to realize my eternal nature. Peace to everybody who reads this.

  • Crystal clear; refreshing as a cold deink of mountain water, short and sweet!

  • cool
