@AbeRivera are you a fucking moron or something? My comment had nothing to do with Corey, it was just a name mix up. And Corey is good, but he is nothing special...there are about 100 other jazz guitarists I would rather listen to...but that is besides the point. Maybe you'll learn to keep your stupid opinions to yourself? Nah. Not a chance.
Maybe you have this Jack confused with the guitar player of same name. I would think a jazz guitarist would want to take lessons from the great jazz guitarist Jack Wilkins, not a sax player. Not that he couldn't learn anything from a sax player, it's just that is not how it usually works.
@lowendgruv I'm just saying maybe Corey studied under the guitarist. I didn't question whether or not the sax guy was named J.W. No reason to get so offended, it's not like I flamed you or something, just a thought / question.
Mr. Wilkins is most enjoyable on the marvelous CD by Chuck Owen and The Jazz Surge, "Tail Of The Comment", which is comprised of Michael Brecker compositions
lol there are way more than 2 Jack Wilkins! My names also jack wilkins and I play the guitar :D i wrote to him like 2 years ago and he sed I was the 7th Jack Wilkins that had written to him :D
Nice work here. Jack Wilkins is likely the best sax player you've never heard of. Thanks for posting!

@jazzadellic
What in the world are you saying? We've established that there are *at least* two "Jack Wilkins" in jazz. This one happens to be a saxophonist.

That's not Jack Wilkins on guitar unless there are 2 Jack Wilkins. The Jack Wilkins I know is at least 60.

You'll note that the guitarist is not the one soloing in the clip.
"Behind Jack is his former student, Corey Christiansen, on guitar."
