This song helped me stand 14 years ago when I was under attack by haters. I will never forget it and how this song went right up my spine, so that I stood, and I believed, and I received the peace that surpasses understanding.
BTW I'm 18 years old. It was hard for me, being in college, to give them up. but as of today, I'm glad I decided to separate myself from them. All I have to continue to do is just stand. Set an example, as a Christian, so that His light in me can shine.
I thank God for saving me and filling me with the gift of the Holy Ghost. When I decided to let God have His way in my life, I had to give up some of my friends. I was kinda upset, and felt a little lonely for a short period of time. When I heard this song not too long ago, I was sitting at my laptop listening. This is true gospel music. Its too bad most gospel music nowadays just sounds like feel good party music. (Don't get me wrong i don't have a problem with uplifting gospel music; as a matter of fact i love it.) When you listen to a song like this it forces you to examine yourself and your relationship with Christ. It truly challenges you to live for Christ. Nobody sings about holiness anymore. There needs to be a balance.
@tobysoter ii understand there should be a balance between gospel music and worldly music but at the same time you have to learn how to reach people where thay are. If you give worldly people a beat to dance to but have positive words you could draw them into the body of christ just by having something they can relate to... I think thats why alot of young ppl leave the church because everything have to be so traditional. its time out for that ! You have to give us something to relate to..
When I was younger, I didn't really understand the message in this song, but now listening to it, I understand exactly what they're saying. You have to stand for Holiness and righteousness and once you do, you will be counted among those who are accepted into Heaven. @tobysoter ii understand there should be a balance between gospel music and worldly music but at the same time you have to learn how to reach people where thay are. If you give worldly people a beat to dance to but have positive words you could draw them into the body of christ just by having something they can relate to... I think thats why alot of young ppl leave the church because everything have to be so traditional. its time out for that ! You have to give us something to relate to..

When I was younger, I didn't really understand the message in this song, but now listening to it, I understand exactly what they're saying. You have to stand for Holiness and righteousness and once you do, you will be counted among those who are accepted into Heaven. It's going to be hard to do, but I will stop this nonsense that I'm doing and do right :)
