  • How to troll a NY Deli: Extra mayo and ketchup please. No mustard.

  • It's amazing that Americans aren't fat, considering the huge amounts of food they eat.

  • @SethHesio But Americans are fat and one of the biggest reasons is Fast Food Restaurants, TV's and Video Games. My wife just returned from Amsterdam and told me there are no fat people there. They all walk or ride bikes and the restaurants serve what she called "Small Portions".

But for fun every few months, we enjoy taking our family to Harold's it is a great place to eat and a great show watching all the food coming out of the kitchen.

  • thats not the largest sandwich, la torta gladiador from el cuadrilatero in Mexico city is the largest sandwich by far.

  • nice deli got THEM PEPER PICKERS IN THE KICHTEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEA REAL NEW YORK STYLE!!!!LOL

  • I commute to the Trenton area from Philadelphia. A couple of weeks ago, I heard some co-workers who live closer to Central NJ talking about a restaurant chain called Harold's. It sounded like an interesting place. I will need to eat at one some day.

  • I just went there today got a triple decker sandwich leeme tell ya you need at least 5 people to eat it

  • Unfortunately we heard that Harold's closed their new location. I guess it was not a good location for them. The hotel they were in was hard to get to and off the main route. As they say it is all about location, location, location.

  • The sandwiches look great!! Not being from the US what are potato knish?

  • A potato Knish is a mound of mashed potatoes, usually containing fried onions, salt and pepper and covered in a wonderful pastry dough, then baked. Some variations of the knish contain Kasha a grain, others have cheese in them and others may be fried or have other shapes and sizes. The ones you see on the plate at Harold's are huge and must weigh over a pound each. Normally they are much smaller and are wonderful with a great deli sandwich.

  • lenrapp, thanks for that. they seem to be like the Engish Cornish pasty.

  • It looks fantastic, hope to go there one day, thanks for sharing! =)

  • omg I MUST GO THERE!! YAY

    LOL!!

  • I only visit once in every two to three months, just too much temptation for me. It is really, really good and so much fun when you go with a large party. Everyone shares and as you can see everyone is watching the other tables to see if they can finish what they order. It is fun.

  • the place has no character!

  • Character? Are you kidding...the characters are the people eating there and enjoying the show each time the waiters come out with an arm full of plates. You have to be there to see it. The food is excellent too.
