The calmness... Mirror's Edge gives you the free feeling... Makes me wanna go take the train to the city and do some PARKOUR.

Same with the Elder Scrolls series when walking out in the wilderness. The beatiful nature, the atmosphere, the soundtrack, it's just plain beautiful.

During the course of the game, you will encounter individuals with weapons. You may disarm them using a special counter move when you get close to them and they try to hit you. You will then disarm them and render them unconscious and pick up their weapon. You will only be able to use the ammunition in the clip. Afterwards you will discard the weapon. This is not a shooting game so the designers made it for a "use and drop and run" format for weapons usage.

I have an urge to feel one more time the freshness that I felt in my heart and mind when I first saw the game's demo, and when I played the game, and when I listened to the soundtrack for the first time. It was so fresh, so revitalizing. Cities are so cold and so many people feel lonely, including me, and Mirror's Edge gave a sense of liberty and freedom, as if the boringness of my reality was irrelevant.

@MualamaAlien You know...unfortunately the sequel is officially canceled for now. I don't know if you read about it, but the DICE team submitted a prototype of the game to EA and EA rejected it. I hope they're working to fix it!

the only real complaint i had with this game was the controls. i am still having a hard time with the controls and wanting the game to do what i want it to.. jumping and wall running is so hard for some reason for me and the controls are a little i don't know iffy.... but the soundtrack is amazing....

You can't wallrun across a wall or land the heights Faith does in the game.

Some parts of it are unrealistic.

Faith can't wallrun that far in the game. What she does, I've seen in real life. I can only wallrun 3 steps, but I've seen 6 steps happen. Looks weird but it's definitely possible.

And it's true, you can jump from higher than Faith and not have a scratch on you. That's the beauty of it.

@Gears2halo Non of the techniques in this game are Freerunning. They are all Parkour.

So actually, all techniques in the game are from Freerunning and Parkour, sorry do dissapoint you.

@Dragonballjunky If you ask a real traceur you would get your ass beat for saying that. Most of the parkour community hates being called freerunning. Parkour is the art of displacement, getting from point A to point B in the most efficient way possible. Most of all, PARKOUR DOES NOT INCLUDE FLIPS. Freerunning this more of a showoff sport than an art. The flips are all worked in, ect. Freerunning may use some parkour techniques, but it is NOT Parkour.

@IPb0mber Well to be honest I am a boxer since 4 years so I doubt I would have any problems with them, eventhough I'd really like to avoid it if possibe. To me it's basicaly the same thing, you run to point A to point B the most efficient, if it than needs a flip now and then to get over something or just for fun than I consider it "whatever" and so that means they are the same. Freerunning and Parkour - are the same once again. Flips are in all parkour I see, including my friends so..

@Dragonballjunky You are not seeing real Parkour then. Blane, one of the founding members of today's Parkour says it himself. Freerunning is based off Parkour, but Freerunning does not have Parkour's values, therefor it is not Parkour.

Great game. Far, FAR from perfect, and only appeals to a certain audience. But if they improve on their mistakes, I have confidence that Mirror's Edge 2 will be amazing.

@scruffums123 Other people feel the mistakes you're talking about weren't mistakes at all. And personally I hope they don't change much to the game, if the sequel ever comes out.

@scruffums123 One of my main problems was the combat. I think they should either not have it, or at least make it any good. You can't aim down the sight, so when you're aiming (on console at least) from the hip it is very difficult to aim at people from far. You have to get real close. And even then it's crap, shotguns only kill when the crosshair is directly on the player. What the hell.

And melee consists of merely 3 attacks. Disappointing combat.

@TigranTheMetz Well, they had to keep the game console friendly... Kinda lacks the amount of buttons to make both the running and the combat great..
