  • Make sure to take care of that. It's a classic.

  • Keep this computer. It runs all Commodore 64 games, and those are completely awesome. Great 8-bit stuff.

  • Your mom purchsed both fdd and 128 for your dad's 27th b-day back in late 80s.

  • if commodore 128 wasn't existed, minecraft wouldn't be existed

  • You're a very lucky girl and just one thing trust me this computer is a real Marvel so don't throw it if you don't want it sell it on ebay or go to a convention of them to sell it please.

  • it was opened at one time but, I can tell you that its not been used there's a way to tell with those...they used to get like a "dirty" hue to the color of them when they were used even slightly...I wish I still had my Commodore 64 and my 1541 drive :)

  • It might not be brand new, but it's still an awesome device. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy my Commodore 64 and my 1541-II. And my MPS-801 matrix printer.

  • Fake, it's not brand new. However, enjoy your 128 though. It was a nice machine.

  • Still totaly AWESOME ! nice vid, ignore the haters :D

  • FYI: It hooks to any TV

  • I bet you got in trouble for playing with your Dad/Moms vintage collectible. I'm sure someone used the heck out of it in the 80's I too kept all the boxes from my C= stuff.

I used to run a BBS (Bulletin Board System) called CHALLENGER BBS (Named after the shuttle while it was being built) A BBS is like a one at a time user internet using a 1200 BPS modem and a phone line that is always busy.

**Manuel Z** (Still use the same sig from the 80's)

  • are you a men ?

    kiding !

  • are you a men ?

  • You are awesome, thanks for putting this video up! Even if the disk drive wasn't new, you're still awesome. :)

  • What a score to find it at a garage sale! I wish i could go to garage sales that sell retro computers in excellent condition -_-

  • Ohh mein GOTT...

  • to the people who are being rude, you seriously think she knows her family used that computer? look how young she is, have some fucking respect, the girl got excited and wanted to share something quite monumental with you, dont see anyone posting any video responses of you opening brand new commodores so sit down and shut the f up, this girls awesome for uploading this, thank you.

  • @shawnio I said most kids and I havent said her name,

  • If this were an authentic un-boxing, which I surely doubt, I like how she's just slamming it around...

  • this thing belongs in a museum with 12 police officers for their own and not in your hands! Ö

  • @BlueIsa7

Going around, telling folks of a younger generation that your computers are sacred is not a way to go through life son. But I'm glad that people do take a look back.

We might have not been there, but if we don't learn from the past, we will continue making over-repeated mistakes, and deviate from what worked.

I say if kids do get to understand older systems, maybe they won't take the amount of RAM and space we have today for granted, and lighter software might be made. Just my 2 cents

  • The Commodore 128 had a Commodore 64 inside of it. The only real difference was the memory, (hence the name), and, if connected to a monitor, (as opposed to a TV), gave you an 80 column screen I got mine in '87 and swapped it for a 64 in '89. I wish I'd kept it now. Oh well... The floppy drive is so, 'big', because it uses 5 1/4" discs.

  • @BlueIsa7 hmm depends, im 24 and would open happily play with one, as your my two younger brothers who are 22 and 18, so pretty young in terms on the comodore, however we all played with them when we were younger, the commodore 64, commodore 128, atari 2600 and the coleco vision, many years of fun before we could afford to move onto more modern things so some of the younger ones were there when these were still in use,

  • How the hell can you open a computer that is several years old? As soon as you open an unopened nostalgia PC or console, is the incredible amount of down in value! X(

  • obviously, no one ever smoked in the house before they Got their first Atari, or NES, hardly any Yellowish...and almost no slip ups...1'48' or 128..lol, sorry, you failed, he he

  • Wow, what a weird time travelling unboxing video... she's unboxing a computer that has more age to it than she has to her own body.

  • @devouringone3 True!

  • How can this have been bought, put in the garage and never opened?

  • @BlueIsa7 Same here lol. Don't have the printer tho :(

  • You could sleep in that commodore box.

  • Oh no! You took the virginity!

  • most kids dont know how too operate commodore 64 computer these days,

  • @Larry198s I do :). My dad was a hacker :O. He has 3 and I have one. My C64 looks the same as the 128 is it a Revision or something?? My dad only has the old ones.

  • @Larry198s I not only know how to use a C64, I have one.

  • You opened it?!?!? You should have just bought one used and kept that to forever preserve it's untouched awesomeness.

  • I'd like to unbox you. But why is there no power adapter there? I know 1571 is big, but have you seen my 1541? Etc.

  • v- If not to use it pn a regualr basis to view demos, play with it. Not everyone IS scared of having it that "mint-condition", you know -_-'' And besides, it had been opened from before. -v

  • i hate you. why the fuck did you open it?

  • Looks like a Amiga 500

  • woooah, carefull, maybe there's alive dinossaurs on your garage!

  • This is awesome!! It brings back memories. Wow, that machine is a bit of history. Thanks for the video and posting it. You made my day.

  • Fake... and gay! Great old computer though

  • sell pleas

  • .... You found a brand new commodore 128? ...

    Damnit.

I still have a commodore 64 in my closet but the player one controller port doesn't work :( And most games won't let you play with the pad in controller port 2.

Sucks. I loved that thing :D

  • @sarkasmi83 send it to me if you dont want it anymore. I will fix it and love it like my own child :D

  • @sarkasmi83 Looks like you have a faulty IC2 or IC28...

  • That thing is probably worth a fortune to certain people

  • Don't be so hard on her people! It most likely looked new to her. Question would be why she was "finding" this in her garage? Who put it there in the first place? Can you even buy 5.25" floppies anymore?

  • That was my first computer ever. I miss it!

  • If see was wearing a swinsuit it would be more interessting

  • Ok this is a FAKE, watch the discdrive, there is no Commodore paper in it to protect the drive :-) lol

  • I hope you trashed all the packaging afterwards. I know I did when I opened my 500 for the first time.

Screw these weirdo collectors that want everything pristine and still in boxes. You should have the damn thing on display and working if you want one. Not have it in some unopened box.

  • I really loved the clicking sound the keys made when I got my one. It was right like in the movies like Tron, not like my mother's old typewriter. It was so modern and space-age. Although that was not a 128 but a 64G.

  • looks like amiga 500

  • that was my very first computer back in 86

  • Dont Sell it !!!!KEEP IT its vintage

  • WHAT THE FAAACKKKK.

  • SYNTAX ERROR!!!!1

  • Comment removed

  • Joy overload..... someone call me an ambulance.

  • The 1541 was bigger :) Thanks for unboxing it, people who leave stuff in its packaging are... funny. In a bad way.

  • Ah, the 80s!

  • put some clothes on!

  • My first computer! This girl is crazy. That was probably a one of a kind unopened box. Did it not even cross her mind about the value it might have to a collector?

  • ;D.....unboxing an org. commodore for 50.000 views?

    !NEVER EVER!

  • who brought this and didnt unbox it???? my dad couldnt wai to get it al unpacked! (and neither could I)

  • Woow, just wow! I have my old somewhere to, but still, with the plastic and everything... be careful.... PLEEEEASE dont tare it!

  • I want to have a garage like that

  • OMFG!!!!!!!!!

  • if i bought say 12 sony ps3's how much would some one pay in 25 years?

could nostalgia be the new pentions?

  • how much would you pay for this computer??

  • :O

    o.O ........

  • Last time I saw one of these was 1989. A friend with a C64 had me drive him to Service Merchandise to buy one to replace his C64. He bought it for $129, we went back to his house, opened the box, looked at it for about 2 minutes, and then had me drive him back to the store to get a refund saying he was sticking with his C64. LOL

  • @girochin007 A question . That happen because the C128 was worse than the C64 ?

  • @sebastian2925 Not worse... He just decided it wasn't worth it. I thought it was weird myself. If 64 is good then 128 must be better right? He was a strange guy to begin with... Got fired from work for hacking into the cash register and changing the time so he could get off early. LOL

  • @girochin007 OK that actually explains A LOT !!! hahahaha !

  • I would sell my kidney , liver and feet for a C=128 that WAS unopened!

  • @Slurfs The you are one sad individual... I maybe would give a drop of blood out of my pinky finger... Maybe.

  • Come on people, do you really think this was worth thousands? It isn't.

I own lots of vintage computers, I would never own an unopened one because it would be pointless.

Even putting it in a museum would require it being opened.

  • you have wrecked the value what the hell

  • type go64 and it will also run c64 software as well....enjoy..heres links for 128 games...

    w=w=w*ask.c=o=m/web?q=c128+games+for+sale&qsrc=19&o=101881&l=dis

  • Why the hell are you opening that?

  • ur an idiot ur an idiot ur an idiot ur an idiot ur an idiot. did i mention ur an idiot

  • are u retarded. why the hell did you open that. that would have auctioned in the millions!!!! a commodore are easy to be found if u kno where to look but a one that is unopened is unheard of. omg i u just ruined an investment of your life!!!

  • @lifematch It would have auctioned in the hundreds... If she was lucky. Anyone who believes that box was never opened has obviously never opened one before. Everyone I knew had one (except me because I had a Tandy 1000) so I've seen plenty opened. The drive doesn't even have it's plastic bag, and the computer should have been sealed if it was actually unopened.

  • @girochin007 oh so the one she opened was already opened?

  • Do you want me to re-seal my C64, my C2N and my two 1541 floppy drives and do an unboxing?! :) To be honest, i'd rather carry on playing my C64 games, like I do almost every day! Two hours ago I had an hours play of my C64 Pirates game by Microprose - release date circa 1987!!! :)

  • I wonder if she was able to find a monitor to test it to see if it worked.

  • I both love and hate this video so much.

  • Well, if you're not going to do anything with it, then I'm interested in it :-)

I still have mine, but it's turned yellow and the disc drive doesn't work well (I still have some 5" floppies as well...)

  • W T F ???????????????????????????

  • I'd keep it myself, since I was an 80s child and I loved my C64. Keeping parts of your childhood can be priceless.

  • I like this girl:-) Funny video!

  • I cant believe it !!! this is the MOST rare unboxing in history of youtube !!!

My first computer was one of those in 1980`s !! so many memories !!! Me and my friends playe Bataman all day, until Double Dragon was released on Arcade machines and we all wanted it for playing it on one of those babys !

Laike they said down there !! Take care of that machine !! is the past of many like me ! Im 30 years now !!

    YOU ROCK !!

  • I hope the warranty is still valid :-))

  • I wonder what became of this jewel ?? sell the kid keep the C128

  • Probably not new but well cared for. I kept my C128 in a box just like that. Sadly, I sold it in the mid 90's. I also sold about 20 perfect condition EA games (in the square, flat box) with it.... :~(

  • i want a commodore 128 :)

  • I know for sure that the disk drive isn't brand new.

First, there's no plastic bag around it and second, there should be a cardboard transporting shield in the disk bay and the lever should be closed.

    Nice try though...

  • @Petril74 You're 100% right about that

  • @Petril74 I remember those transporting cardboard things. They were for protecting the spindle during transport.

10 people just realised how old they actually are.

  • At first:

say more about back of computer. show plug-in`s . there were much of godd in and out extensions.

    say more about computer clock,

cooperatation with (good for these times) monitores ,which were able to use with video cameras hi 8.

    For second :

its important that 128 have much more memory than 64 and it was seemed like amiga. very proffesionally.

    For third :

    say something more.

  • it Cant BE!!!!

  • I'm willing to pay you 1000 U.S. Dollars for the Commodore 128 alone. Leave me a message.

  • WOW!!! THE FIRST COMPUTER THAT IVE TOUCHED IN MY LIFE WAS THIS WHEN I WAS A CHILDREN IN 1988 (MY AUNT WAS THE OWNER HE HE). MY FIRST EXPERIENCE AND NOW IM HERE WITH A CORE 2 DUO HE HE HE.

THANKS FOR MAKE ME REMEMBER IT... AND, TAKE CARE WITH THIS MACHINE, BABY, ITS A RELIQUIOUS. YOU ARE SO PRETTY. KISSES.

  • Now there's some quality styrofoam! The box is as big as she is.

  • It's the size of her!

  • it looks new pc's cost a small fortune 20 years ago I agree with

TheIntolerantAtheist who buys a pc for over $2000 or more disk drives were not included and doesnt open it very odd :o I had a C64 when growing up tape deck floppy disk drive was extra ,lots of collectors that would buy that. :)

  • Who buys a $2,000 computer and then puts it in their garage for a quarter century without even opening it until long after it's obsolete?

  • @TheIntolerantAtheist Maybe a collector would. It's like having a classic car that's never been driven.

  • @TheIntolerantAtheist dude it was $600.

  • To me, it looks like those boxes were opened before. Originally, the power adapters, serial cable, documentation, and floppy disks were there as well. And the cardboard tabs on the boxes look damaged/bent from previous use. I got two C64s (the first one fried) and a C1541. I sold the silly tape thingy (that I got much later than the C64+C1541) pretty soon - WAS ANNOYING BEYOND HELL!!!

  • Bet your parrents bought u that for christmas 20 years ago and forgot about it :o)

  • This must be a fake video right? The stuff shes unboxing is twice her age and she seem to not care at all about it.

  • painful to watch

  • Is it for sale? :)

  • Shame on you Sonia for opening this vintage computer box. :-(

  • Its the third. Vic20 was first!

  • Im gonna cry.. she probably will too when her dad finds out what she just did, shes gona get whooped the hell out of her ass.

  • EPIC FAIL!

  • I bet they've been used and put back in the box and put in the garage. The disk drive doesn't have the plastic bag. When I was done with my C64 and Amiga, I boxed them up that way (with the original red plastic bag like the C128 in this vid) and put them in the closet.

  • Never. I say !!!NEVER!!! open an unboxed Commodore or any old computer or additional hardware.

  • @amigapoika

Why does it matter? Its not like you can't wrap it back up to look like it was unopened.

  • @Cloud98 it's not even nearly a same thing. Unopened is unopened and opened is opened. And she doesn't handle it too carefully. Look at that she just tears it apart

  • @Cloud98 vintage is all about condition and rareness. and what could be better than unboxed :/

  • oh god... i think a small part of me just died when she cut the packaging.

  • I've never hated anyone as much as I hate this woman right now, do you realise how much that is worth boxed? What a complete imbecile

  • Hello youtube this morning i woke up braindead...... hope she will be rapef_cked.

  • Hello youtube this morning i woke up braindead...... hope she will be rapef_cked.

  • Hello youtube this morning i woke up braindead...... hope she will be rapef_cked.

  • The Commodore 128

Its like a Commodore 64 on STERIODS

Its even backwards compatible with Commodore 64 software and games

  • beautiful!!!

  • CPU MOS 8502 @ 2 MHz Zilog Z80A @ 4 MHz

    RAM 128 kB

    Grafik VIC-II (320 x 200, 16 Farben, sprites), MOS 8563 (RGBI 640×200 16 Farben)

  • Now Commodore 128 (Virgin after all these years)... What do we the say when people touch us on the NO NO places?

    FUCK OFF YA MOLE!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Congraz! Brand new C128, quite rare in 2010... Go get a RGB cable, a 1084 Monitor and run Risen from Oblivion on it! ;-) Pretty much the only thing that ever rendered pretty graphics on C128

see csdb dot c64 dot org...

RFO V2 works on NTSC, too...

  • Miss my old 64,I got those 5&1/4 blues Baby

  • Boxed one in NEW condition is worth about $500 or so, this one is not in good condition as it has signs of yellowing , I sold one 2 years ago in the MINT condition for £300 (Uk Pounds). I also sold a commodore SX64 for £400 ( about 700 USD) the

  • @blazer666del oh man you shoot too high about the prices, i don't care if they were in mint condition, the thing is that nowadays i'm using the emulator for the Commodore games and also for the Amiga...

  • Boxed one in NEW condition is worth about $500 or so, this one is not in good condition as it has signs of yellowing , I sold one 2 years ago in the same condition for £300 (Uk Pounds). I also sold a commodore SX64 for £400 ( about 700 USD) the

  • Boxed one in that condition is worth about $500 or so , I sold one 2 years ago in the same condition for £300 (Uk Pounds). I also sold a commodore SX64 for £400 ( about 700 USD)

  • I think this is not a new one. Just watch the space key at 2:19! It's not in line with the edge of the house. The left side is lower.

  • I have a brand new in box Commodore 64 with everything all original. Anyone care to tell me the value?

  • @stevensj13 about 200$

  • OOOO MY GOOODD!! what ta hell ?!?!! unboxing commodore 128 ?!?!?! WTF ?!?!? is the same sensation like unboxing a mamut in north pole or unboxing a tyranosaurius rex ...can t be possible!! sell it on ebay i will buy it!

  • @fuckableteam

    SHIFT+RUN/STOP=LOAD

She was really careful in handling the package, come on.. not a big deal.

  • Cute girl, Awesome computer. All this video needs now is some awesome BBQ.

  • @ControlCardPin I got some SAUCE for you! LOL!//

  • LOL, Commodore will have a HUGE update!! O_O 1 Terabyte of HD! Im not joking! just search it on google 0_o

  • I loved my C=128

  • I used to have one of these when I was little! We had the box for it too but I can't find it now. You could fit about 10 games on one of those 5 1/4" floppies.

  • Her parents are gona kill her when they found out she opened that.

  • Maybe opening it wasn't the best idea. Anybody knows how much a Commodore 125D might worth now? Not never opened, but a working 2 part, metal case one? I'm curious what value I have in my kitchen.

  • @Taru58 depends but I'd say around 200-300 USD

  • she mad she just threw away her college tuition.

that, or she is like 40 years old, kinda hard to tell...

  • Hey kid, you realize that that was a collectors item? By opening it up you probably threw away like $20,000...

  • Oh yes... she opened the box. Wonder if I can find dad's reaction in You Tube.

  • you n00b...coulda sold that for alot more than it's worth now -_-

  • Give to meeeeeeeeeeee :)

  • i cant believe u opened it!

  • DUDE...this was a seriously awesome video for many different reasons. I remember being 4 years old and my dad brought home the Vic-20. We have come a very long way in 28 years.

  • @SpitaBeatBox a mermaid

  • Great Video SONIA.. Thanks for bringing happy old memories to all of us.. !!!

  • theres no usb port... where am i supposed to plug my ipod in?

  • Awesome! Thanks for making this Sonia!

  • very big box :D

  • awesome - I loved my C64 as a kid... wish I could have had a 128 :)

  • @VintageJunior :D ;)

  • I had one.. loved it.

  • never before opened??? i would sell it

  • just bought one two days ago with disk drive

  • I don't think a C128 is that valuable, even its new in box. After all, there where 4.000.000 units produced, so there should by MANY new in box left somewhere.

  • Haha, she could have got many brand new PS3 for that old computer!!

  • Every(!) technical device is made to be used. I don't like collectors who put this poor things into a showcase just to get pleasure from looking at it. Many people will hate me for that, but I unbox EVERY thing I get und try to run it .. after some checks for aged components or similar, of course. I think its just no adequate housing for technical devices to imprisom them in boxes or showcases until they are rotten from standing around without ever having a chance to fullfil thier determination.

  • the commodore was the first computer i used and still today i think it is the best computer ever it did newer crash or have other problems...

  • did she get arrested for this crime ??

  • I cant believe you opened it!!!
