So glad you shared. Your open and honest dialog will help me prepare for my band. I have one more meeting with a dietician and a few more hoops to jump before insurance approval (maybe early next year). Looking forward to more updates. Thanks.
con't: I have had one fill removed for the same reason and found the same thing. But it is ok to go forward now. Don't be embarrassed, it's the same reason we are all in this or we wouldn't have the band...the tool, not a magic wand. Be good to yourself, you are doing great and we all appreciate reading your experiences. It lets us know that we are also normal with this.
I too have a problem after the fills. I think I need to stay on liquids 3 to 4 times longer than others. We must have very touchy stomas but after learning from it then it can help be prevented next time. If you have learned something from this experience, whether it is something you wanted to learn or not, then maybe it was worth it. Maybe not appreciated, I know.
Thank you for posting this. It is good to see that others struggle, even with the band. I'm only banded 2 months, but still have my moments and eat things I know are pushing it, and wonder after why I do it. I guess we just aren't pefect and the band is not magic. Glad you are back on track and have a supportive office staff.
Hey beautiful! We met at one of the last seminars. I was banded October 13th and I'm already seeing how hard it is to obey the rules... I'm also already seeing crazy results, too, though! I'm kind of anxious how I'll do on my first fill. Thank you for telling it like it is.
I am thinking about having the
Lap Band! I am glad I found your blog :) Thanks!
