@maaden00 This is actually pretty tough to time. I've spent a good few hours in training just practicing this particular kara. When you hit forward plus light kick, Makoto moves towards the opponent. If you Karakusa IMMEDIATELY after she starts this animation, she will move forward quite a large amount and grab. Being able to consecutively time Kara Karakusa also allows you to repeatedly grab the opponent after the previous kara Karakusa. Doesn't do much dmg, but it's fun :)

@Lrdvltr Its counterhit, its basically when you hit the opponent in the startup of their attack, you'll get the counterhit message pop up. The advantage is it gives you a bit more time to combo stuff, allowing things to combo that couldn't otherwise, like the forward + FP
@fadecy I think it works on everything, its just the timing is really strict, but I'm not 100% sure. When I make volume 2 for Makoto, I'll be sure to nail down all this character specific stuff and options she has, this is just more of a general overview

@TheDimsh Yes, it's on auto block. The timing is tight, make sure to set the dummy to crouch because it makes their hitbox a little wider, and also any opponent who gets hit by that move is probably crouch blocking
@lcychains No, thats just a mixup, not a combo, you can tell because the combo meter resets. But it puts the opponent into a situation where they dont know if you are going to attack from the left or the right, or throw, so it's in your favor
Your exaggerating, most of this stuff outside the kara cancel mixups and whatnot seem pretty simple, I expect to see most of this stuff from anyone who is half decent with makoto.
@zalbain The timing is really tight, you have to press f+lk and then do an entire half circle back and press whichever kick you want within the first few frames of the kick coming out. It's not an easy kara by any means. This is a really common question though, so I'll be putting up another video about Kara Karakusa showing my hands and the timing so people can see
This vid is a god send, I was just counting this chick out, her walking speed is too slow, even if 3s she walked slow too, but this shows her awsome potential. you should make show inputs in a follow up vid, or send info to eventhubs, to update her page.
All the Ultras in this video are fully charged. Virtually any Ultra that is fully charged for any character will do close to 50%, not to mention Makoto can cancel from her Super (which is an attack buff) into her Ultra for more damage.
I think it's more likely for the opponent to use a reversal instead of jumping away from the karakusa... especially those with shoryuken like moves...
@shaolinotter Yeah, the first one where it connects on the ground instead of in the air would definitely be blockable if they dont attack, but its also possible to charge it different lengths of time to hit a bit earlier. It was more of a concept to show it can go through some attacks and hit and not a definitive punish

@Lrdvltr Neutral Jump FP combos into F+HP punches easily, and I believe you can do it on a counterhit Angled Jumping FP
