All you hating uneducated poor mentality broke fools what do you know about luxury beside Lexus and mercedez? A whole lot of you don't have the money to afford it but only read about it. Infiniti is a very sophisticated auto mobile and its an extremely fabricated vehicle that many countries do not have. In Germany they use mercedez Benz for ambulance and Lexus is a poor man luxury. Until you own one you are just talking about what you think you know from reading.

@AndrewML500 - I've checked out both cars and I'm leaning towards the M45. The Infiniti M45 kicks out 335 hp and the GS430 is at 300 hp. I'm 6'3" 250 lbs so interior room is a big deal to me. In the M45 I'm able to sit in the back seat with the front seat all the way back which is impossible for me to do in the GS. Thats a big deal for me if I have people sitting in the back seat. If I can sit back there then anybody can. Both cars handle very well but I like the Infiniti better.

@AndrewML500 Easy, the M45 all the way, Im assuming your buying a used M45 cause its no longer being produced. The 2006 GS430 in my opinion has a very conservative bland exterior, lexus executes refinement very well as thats what thier known for however they lack enormously in the performance department. If there is a car where you can have the best of both worlds its the M45, luxury and performance all in one machine. The Infiniti begs you to drive it, the Lexus simply get you from A to B.

I'm young, and ignorant. I absolutely had to have a nice fast car. I bought a mercedes c32 amg. Biggest mistake of my life. It was still under an 8 year federal emmisions warranty for my ECU. It went out and mercedes put the blame on everything but the ECU. and refused to fix it. The total would be over 10000 to fix the piece of shit so now it just sits in the drive way and looks "pretty" Im never going german agian thanks to them. I hope none of you EVER buy mercedes benz. They are crooks.

just negotiated with Infiniti to buy my '09 M35x back after the car stalled on me 4 different times and they couldn't find the problem. Consumer Affairs told me there are other cars that have had the same problem and that they have yet to succesfully resolve the issue.

The new M will lure more German loving customers. The standard M37 will have about 32_(3 something) horsies. That is about 50 more than the E-Class, about a hundred more than a 528i, 2_ more than a 535i. Well, the 5-series is going to be replaced also soon. However, the infiniti is a good choice. Hardly any electrical problems which is a huge issue with German cars. I love mercedes and Bmws, but there standards are slipping. The Japanese are very close to the Germans. Watch out Germans!

@saab93la, the Infiniti M can compete with BMW/Mercedes, but Acura has nothing and Lexus has the much higher priced LS, that if priced in the E class/5 series price range could compete. Thankfully for Toyota, their target market is old people who can't tell the difference.

The M's seats are hard, especially the front-top of the seat cushion. The G37's seats are much better, supportive but not rock-hard (but the car is small). Infiniti: please put the G37 seats in the M and you'd have a really comfortable car.

That is impressive. I'm sooo going to take this over an Audi, BMW or Mercedes. It's just so better when it comes to practicality and not so far behind when it comes to performance. Of course, I wouldn't take it over a Jaguar XF since Jaguars are something special but I would buy both even if it would cost me a lot since this car is something that catches my attention much and that is how good it is.

I'm in the hunt for a used luxury sedan and narrowed choice down to 2006 BMW 530 or Infiniti M35. Infiniti is definitely faster and handling is more or less the same. It costs less so I don't know probably go with M35. I mean BMW is great car but I don't see how it is so much better than the M35. Can anyone tell me why?

I just bought an 06 M35 with the sport package and bose and basically everything in it, i also drove an 06 530i. Biased on neither part, in fact i went into the test driving thinking the BMW (with its reputation and all) would be the better drive, not to much. Dont get me wrong the Bimmer was a great car but as far as user friendly atmosphere and over enjoyment, i just can't say enough about the M35... great car and great handling. a Happy infiniti customer now.

I think these are better than the current 5-Series. The BMWs might be much faster, but these I think do a better job of capturing the spirit of the E39 and older 5s.

Then you didn't drive either spiritedly. The Infiniti has more pure steering and feels lighter on its feet. It's a shame, because the last 5-Series was THE sport sedan. The new one is still great to drive, but not as pure and lithe.

The BMW is almost infuriating to operate. You have to wake up its dang iDrive just to change little things like even fan speed or something.

The Infiniti feels more pure to drive as well, and many magazines say the same thing, so I'm not spewing biased crock or anything.

Technology does not always make a car better. Would you consider a Lexus LS600hL better than an M5?

for the idrive being the mother of all operating systems from audi,mb etc... i forgive them for that but once mastered or understod one canot ignore the subtlety and fun factors of driving a 5 serie..im not poking at your choice but if you are a true driver and since you are talking about "pure ti drive" there is no way in hell a m45 even though a superb car can stand up to a 550i let alone an M5. lol ..m5 over ls600hl anyday,everyday

The GPS-Satnav. system aint touch screen, the front seat headrests aint electrically operated and the interior access to the booth is small (unlike all these in the lexus). Nissan still have some work to do on this Infiniti M45.

Safety features like airbags, anti-brake systems were invented by the German. Take Mercedes Benz as an example, they introduced the world lots of new safety features. To know what advanced safety features future japs cars will be equipped with, see today's Mercedes Benz S Class. Presafe system, night vision, have any Japs cars even come close to doing these? It's undeniable that Japan is technlogically advanced, but it is never right to say German is WAY WAY WAY behind Japan. No hard feelings...

Infiniti makes nice sporty luxury cars, but it just doesn't have the German charm. Maybe it doesn't come across as mature as the (excluding BMW)German cars (Audi/Mercedes). Its interior certainly can't measure up to either 3. And now that Jaguar has the XF, Japan really needs to put some more soul into their vehicles. Infiniti is doing better than Lexus and Acura in that sense but its not as luxurious as any of the other vehicles mentioned.

Yes the car is AWESOME!! But he missed just a little few pointers.. Like the revers camra, and the turning of the rear tires when car is in revers.. Bluetooth capability, etc.. Great car, I love mine allot, have stayed in the Infiniti family for sometime now, started with the I35 now Im with M35..

I test drove a lexus GS, mercedes E-class, fully equipped 3-series bmw, and an infiniti m35x...it was a no brainer--the infinit was by far greater than all the others. The power can be a little intimidating, although its always a fun drive. Simply a great car...I always had acuras, although I will never go back...

This car is great considering the price. The base M, has more standard features than its European Rivals, such as the Merc E-Class or the BMW 5-Series. These cars are all great, but personally, I would have the Lexus GS or the BMW 5-Series. I dont know why, but I like those two cars!

i wouldnt compare this car to the A8, the A6 is a direct competitor, but infiniti doesnt make a car to compete with the A8. the M35 isnt quite as good of a buy as the Audi A6 3.2. the 3.2 is cheaper, better on gas, and better equipped. but the M45 is a better buy than the A6 4.2

Although not direct I guess you can say the Q45 would be the A8 competitor. Its Infiniti's flagship car but its not very well known and not advertised as much as the M and the G series cars. I don't know what Infiniti will do with the next Q45 or if there will be one as I know sales of that car aren't great.

The Q45 has an ugly rear and the controls aren't as easy to reach as the A8's MMI system which conviently places all the controls right at your fingertips behind the shifter where you rest your arm. Not to mention Quattro and an extra 10 hp in it's glorious 4.2 V8. To be honest I'd prefer the M45 to the Q45 looks wise but neither would sell me over an A8.

I just realized the Q45 is not in production. Its been two years! i agree the Q45 although underappreciated wasn't that attractive. I think that's one of the reasons for poor sales also i read it was priced a little higher than its German rivals which isn't good if the brand (Infiniti) doesn't have that prestige to price a car that high. They are improving though.

The M45 was another car I was going to look at, but I don't have any Infiniti dealers within almost 150 miles of where I live, but I am familiar with the car and they're a car in which myself, a larger person am comfortable in (much like Nissan).

And I think they still kill BMW and Mercedes in reliability too
