Nice video. I think you should have added the Job references in there. After all the JW's should realize they must tell Jehovah not to regard birthdays like He did Job's or Abraham to regard birthday's such as Christs' just to name a few Job 3:1-7, John 8:56. We of course celebrate Jesus resurrection not His death. The pagans, Pharisees, etc. celebrated His death. Without the resurrection we have no life in us.
Eccleciastes 7:2-4, "Better is it to go to the HOUSE OF MOURNING than to the banquet house, because that is the end of all mankind; and the one alive should take (it) to his heart". verse 4, "The heart of the WISE ONES is in the HOUSE OF MOURNING, but the heart of the STUPID ONES IS IN THE HOUSE OF REJOICING." We do not TWIST scriptures as video claims. We simply chose to be WISE ONES, not stupid ones. We don't celebrate life every year. We Celebrate Jesus' DEATH, he told us to Luke 22:19..
@eternityandforever@eternityandforever House of rejoicing? Ok, then stop all celebrations including, family gatherings, anniversaries, graduations, etc. The banquet house does NOT refer specifically to a Birthday. That Scripture compares the importance of observing certain occasions over others that are not appropriate at the time.
Yes, you do twist Scriptures to fit the WTS doctrines. The Bible does not state many things, but does it mean that it never happened?
@TheRealTruth1914 Eccleciastes 7:1,"...the day of death than the day of one's being born." Proverbs 21:17,"He that is loving merriment will be an individual in want; he that is loving wine and oil will not gain riches." Many people celebrate their b-days, drinking to the point of drunkeness-NOT A WISE THING TO DO-1 Corinthians 6:9,10,"What! Do you not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God's kingdom?...idolaters (b-day person is idolized by -songs and gifts), ..nor drunkards.." PAGAN
"loving merriment" Eccl 7:1. Note LOVING. This is a warning about undue indulgencies!
The same warning can be issued about eating & drinking. Some accused Jesus of being "a glutton and a drunkard", Luke 7:34. But regular eating & drinking per se is NOT condemned. Neither is eating & drinking at a birthday party.
You are being misled by robotic sameness with the GB.
CHRISTMAS IS NOT REALLY JESUS' BIRTHDAY.Read Matthew, Mark, Luke in bible about 2/3 of way through bible. They never give a date of his birth.Jesus never celebrated his birthday.HE DID TELL US TO CELEBRATE HIS DEATH at Luke 22:19.We keep his Memorial-Jehovah's Witnesses follow exactly what Jesus tells us. The bible says celebrate DEATH-Eccleciastes 7:1-8, verse 4,"The heart of the wise ones is in the house of mourning, but the heart of the stupid ones is in the house of rejoicing."BIBLE IS TRUTH.
@eternityandforever Everyone knows that Dec. 25 is not Jesus's birthday. Get one thing straight, Jesus did not say to celebrate his DEATH! He said to continue doing this in rememberance of him. What was it? To Repeat his death? The last supper was done on Passover, why? When Jesus was born, The angels in heaven began st sing! It was a celebration! Why? Do some research outside the Watchtower publications. Don't let the WTS blind you to be one sided.
@TheRealTruth1914 -On passover a sacrifice was eaten. On this passover, Jesus' life is offered-that's why we don't offer animal sacifices anymore. Daniel 9:27. Hebrews 10:10,"By the said 'will' we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time."John 6:51,"I shall give is my flesh.."1 Corinthians 10:16,"...is it not the sharing in the body of the Christ?"Hebrews 2:9,"suffered death, might taste death for every (man)." It's his DEATH we celebrate-NOT BIRTH.
@eternityandforever You are so brainwashed that it's sad. Did you notice the first sentence of the description of my video? As an ex JW with over 30 years experience, I can say that JW are one sided with their thinking and logic. You can not have a reasonable debate with them because they are programmed by their master, the Govering Body of men from Brooklyn. The sad part is, you are living a non realistic life and you want to ruin it for everyone who has a life to enjoy.
@eternity, You are missing the point. Why don't you celebrate the deaths of your former leaders? Russell, Rutherford, Franz? Because you would be idolizing them. You see, your logic is unreasonable. The Scriptures mentioned by you are applied for certain occasions. You are trying to use them as a norm. Why did Jesus drink wine? People get drunk with it. Do you get it? Everything can be bad if not used moderately. Your reasoning is the Governing body's reasoning, it has been implanted in you.
@TheRealTruth1914 The Watchtower Society Does NOT blind people. They actually reveal Jesus' true teachings in the bible. It is so important to have this accurate knowledge. JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES preach the good news of God's Kingdom-THEY FOLLOW JESUS-HE DID IT FIRST Matthew 4:17, Matthew Chapter 10. They help sanctify God's great, wonderful, and majestic name-JEHOVAH-THEY FOLLOW JESUS-Matthew 6:9,10, John 17;6. They're his witnesses and make new disciples -Acts 1:8, Matthew 24:14, 28:19,20, TRUTH!
NOTICE the name (SHIHTZUFIZZERS) Come on! Is this for real? This is another one of those fakes pretending to be a JW's. Nice try, but no cigar. The name is funny though! Thanks for the ride you fake!
Many historians such as Tertullian , Josephus, Origen, Arnobius(priest) and in modern times Thiel B, Ph.D attest to the fact that First Century and most Second Century christians did not celebrate birthdays. Did they RECOGNIZE the day they were born / Of course. But if research shows First Century Christians and Jesus HIMSELF did not CELEBRATE birthdays why would we celebrate our own or His?
@lakerdave The Bible does not mention Jesus going to the bathroom, does that mean he didn't? Not everything is written for us in the Bible, use common sense.
@TheRealTruth1914 everything in the bible has a purpose. otherwise it would so large it would not be able to be carried. Yes common sense, Jesus was in heaven w/ his father, he knew what his father wanted. He knew how Jehovah feels about birthdays. Going to the bathroom is natrual, you are using two different things. nature and self loathing celebration. Never says Jesus took a bath either. should we bath? see how stupid your comment sounds? come on now.
@shihtzufizzers Did you see my video? Did you understand the points? Of course not! Not all birthdays are as you said "loathing". It all depends How you celebrate your birthday. Have you ever celebrated your birthday? Probably not. The Bible speaks of people getting drunk and also committing incest due to wine, does that mean wine is bad and should not be taken? Jesus drank wine. Too much of ANYTHING can be harmful. Your comments are focused on faults rather than seeing the good, sound familiar?
@TheRealTruth1914 well this video really does not show the truth of the bible yet. Yes Jehovah prophecied. yet many scriptures have more than one meaning. there is a msg for us. a purpose for the info. you missed it. Think of job, he has sons and celebrated each ones day. does it say birthday? no day in Hebrew, means Day and birthday has another word helluthm ( i believe) two words. so no where in the original scriptures show bday celebrations. just in the msg, or purpose God gives us in bible
@TheRealTruth1914 missed a word yohm in hebrew means day. and in Job in the original writing Yohm is used. meaning just a day not birhtday. so again no where in the bible does faithful worshipers of God celebrate this ritual that does have pagan backgrounds. And when one does celebrate it is a form of worship of oneself by others. and the bible tells us only to give God devoted worship. not yourself, not your job nothing but God
"A wedding ring or wedding band is a metal ring indicating the wearer is married. Depending on the local culture, it is worn on the base of the right or the left ring finger. The custom of wearing such a ring has spread widely beyond its origin in Europe. Originally worn by wives only, wedding rings became customary for both husbands and wives during the 20th century." Wikipedia explanation of The Wedding Ring - Nothing denoting paganism is indicated in any way on their website.
A day earlier I was reading about God's commandments and left the Bible open on my computer desk. Today, a Bible verse jumped up at me as I was about to turn the computer off. My eyes glanced at "I am an hundred and twenty years old THIS DAY..." It was Moses speaking in Deuteronomy 31:2 He was referring to his birthday. Birthdays celebrate life ... life that GOD created. Let us rejoice and give thanks to GOD for every birthday of the special people in our lives, including our own.
@shalimarsgirl bible does tells us that the day we are born is not as important at the day we die. for what have we done at birth compared to our life? Age is mentioned alot in the bible. AGE not Birthday celebrations, In fact two are mentioned and at both parties men were beheaded. Everything in the bible has a purpose, What is the purpose of telling us about these birthdays if god wanted us to celebrate them? Or was he telling us they are not approved by him? Think about it, y r they n bible?
@shihtzufizzers Just because two men were beheaded on a birthday doesn't that I can't celebrate the lives of my children & loved ones who are all a gift from God. Every day of our lives is important to God & the Bible says "Today if you hear His voice, harden not your heart." It's not sin to say "Happy Birthday, God bless you" to loved ones but it's praising God for another year of their lives & showing love. God's 10 Commandments say what's holy & what's sin to God. Birthdays are not a sin!
@shihtzufizzers Again you are trying to find fault in something that can be done in a respectful way. For example: On my birthday, I take my wife out to dinner, come home to my children and they wish me a happy birthday by giving me drawings they made. Is this thinking too highly of myself? Another example: At the meetings of JW's, they often speak about gaining eternal life and how important it is. Isn't this a form of selfishness? Hypocricy maybe?
@shihtzufizzers I wish you peace & happiness. If it's your earnest desire to follow the Watchtower Society & obey the instructions from their publications, then that's your choice. My choice is different. We must all appear before the judgment of God. May all who seek to enter into the kingdom of God seriously strive to be more like Jesus, and pray for His Holy Spirit to inspire our thoughts, words & actions to be acceptable in His sight. May the snared sheep be rescued before it's too late.
@shalimarsgirl . thank you for your kind words. I hope the the best too. It is nice to see someone else disagree with what someone says so respectfully. Everyone must stand before God in the end. YOu are right. So yes continue to pray for the truth. I agree. take care
@shihtzufizzers Your questions have been answered in the video. Why don't you analyze it slowly, maybe then you can have understanding. Please re read the caption words under the video. There is no definite answer, so stop forcing your beliefs on others. If you don't agree, then stop commenting. Simple.
@TheRealTruth1914 hypocrite. are you not trying to force your beliefs on ppl too? all you do is give off negative comments to anyone who you think is a JW. so sad. it really is a sign of who you call father. So what if we dont celebrate birthdays. I would never tell someone they are so wrong for doing it and how uneducated they are. think about what you are saying before you say it. I choose to folow what the bible says. yes it does not come out and say not to celebrate bdays.
@shihtzufizzers You are a total ASS. This is a video, just like a TV you have the choice to watch it or not. I am not forcing anything. Am I going on your channel and leaving comments? You are the Hypocrite, always wanting the last word thinking your opinion is correct. I have already said THERE IS NO DEFINITE ANSWER! What don't you understand? You are a total moron!
@TheRealTruth1914 cont why does it not give us Jesus birth day? wouldnt this be the most important birthday ever to celebrate? AS for you video. come one you are the most one sided person ever. Why are the only two birthdays mentioned in the bible end up w/ someones heads being cut off. why did God put that in the bible. Obviously not for us to decapitate ppl at birthdays. does his message there encourage us to celebrate them? one was John the baptist. Yea I think God wants us to celebrate
@shihtzufizzers One sided? The caption of the video is: "Scriptures are open to interpretations" and I allow anyone to comment. But you are the only one who tries to prove himself by continuously leaving one sided comments. You are a joke!
@TheRealTruth1914 cont. birthdays. he makes them so positive in his word. Why should I stop commenting? YOu do not agree with me yet you continue to comment back to me. So we both disagree, many disagree throughout the world on multiple subjects. the difference here is that you are rude. pushy on YOUR OWN beliefs. Even if we are wrong about birthdays, ( i know we are not) why does it bother you so much? if someone else besides a JW told you they didnt celebrate would you be rude to them.???
@shihtzufizzers Let me be clear, for you are naive. I.... AM.....AN.......APOSTATE!
You are taught not to converse with apostates. WTF are you doing here? Do you think you are better than the other JW's? You have some special permission to converse with me? Do you really think your robotic words will have any effect on me and the others? You are sadly mistaken. Now go back to the flock and let the wolves continue to Shepard you.
@TheRealTruth1914 According to the Scriptures, the day the baby was born was usually one of rejoicing and thanksgiving on the part of the parents, and rightly so, for “look! Sons are an inheritance from Jehovah; the fruitage of the belly is a reward.” (Ps you mentioned) However, there is no indication in the Scriptures that faithful worshipers of Jehovah ever indulged in the pagan practice of annually celebrating birthdays
i wonder how recording a birth date has anything to do with birthday cake and candles. i'm not getting the connection. birthdays are for little kids. i doubt 60 year old men go trick or treating. i guess if satan has a birthday it should be celebrated too. i have a book that says he was born on Oct 31st. so get out your devil costume and lets party !!!
@HairyQMoog in the satan church, birthdays are the most favorable celebration. they choose this as there favorite holiday. Why? because it makes them the most important person for that day, puts them selves about anyone else. Should we put ourselves above God on any day and then celebrate it? Sometimes really thinking things out can show you alot. Halloween is in churches, celebrating of demons, ect. how can churches have a clean conscience doing this?
@shihtzufizzers You are missing the point. You are over exaggerating what a birthday is all about. 1) Birthdays are focused on a person just as a wedding is focused on a couple. 2) birthdays are a celebration of life, just like marriage is a celebration of union. Both are gifts from God. You can not expect everyone to celebrate things the same way. Many weddings can be done untastefully, does that mean all wedding celebrations are wrong?
Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. Colossians 2:16
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1Corinthians 10:31
QUIT LETTING A FALSE PROPHET MAN MADE ORGANIZATION DICTATE THE JOY IN YOUR FAMILY!
And his sons went and held a banquet at the house of each one on HIS own Day; and they sent and invited their three sisters to eat and Drink with them.
gbrumfield98, You are a great example of how you denie the truth about your hypocrisy, just like your man made organization. foe someone who is concerned about pleasing God, maybe you should look into the music you listen to. I did not know God approves of AC/DC. You are what Jesus described as a hypocrite and a blind man guided by another blind man. If I were you, I would clean up my channel before judging others.
FYI - the tradition of birthday parties started in Europe a long time ago. It was feared that evil spirits were particularly attracted to people on their birthdays. To protect them from harm, friends and family would to come be with the birthday person and bring good thoughts and wishes. Giving gifts brought even more good cheer to ward off the evil spirits. So in ancient times. it meant to protect the birthday celebrant from the demons and to ensure his security for the coming year.
@gbrumfield98, There are many thoughts about it's origin, including Egypt, Greece and Germany. Thanks for your input. Either way, it's normal to keep track of someone's birthday.
@TheRealTruth1914 Yea there are many thoughts. But Paganism can be traced back to it's roots. Such as Christmas, Halloween, Easter and Birthdays. The Beliefs of the Jehovah's Witnesses is not to offend God by "Doing what is normal" if what is normal is offensive to God. The Bible is Clear on Paganism and how God feels about it. "Touch nothing unclean.—Isaiah 52:11
@gbrumfield98, Yes this is true, but the WTS are hypocrites when they justify other pagan origins by saying that the important thing is what it means TODAY. These traditions used in holidays are no longer used for pagan reasons. This is the reasoning that is wrong, to be selective in teachings, just like the blood issue. It is either all or none, not some. :)
@TheRealTruth1914 That is not what your Video is saying. The origin of religious celebrations has a bearing on whether they please God or not. See Isaiah 52:11 and Revelation 18:4. There is no mistaking this. Your Video post is inaccurate and misleading the reasons why Jehovah's Witnesses don't celebrate Birthdays.
@gbrumfield98, Please enlighten us. What does my video say? If the Scriptures indicate to get out what is not pleasing to God, why do you follow a man made Organization that has made numerous false predictions, was founded by a man that was very much involved in pagan pratices and also claim to be the way to salvation?
@gbrumfield98, My video is not inaccurate. It simply addresses some of the reasons used by JW's in defense of their stand on Birthdays (which is NOT a religious celebration as you state). Look at my video again, I'm only asking questions and letting the viewer make their own conclusions. I am not forcing my opinion like the WTS does.
@TheRealTruth1914 , I am sorry, your video is very inaccurate. Did you not say in your video "There is nothing in the Word of God that by principle or Direct reference condemns observing birthdays"? Yet false worship in Rev 18:4 says Get out, and Isaiah 52:11 says touch nothing unclean. If a Celebration is founded by pagan worship, and those scriptures make it clear what should be done in principle and direct reference against Paganism.
gbrumfield98, You are a typical JW's who tries to find something that is not there and you are avoiding the obvious. You are misapplying a Scripture about worship, a celebration of a birthday is not about worship. Answer these questions:
Why are you following a pagan originated Religion? Why do you celebrate wedding anniversaries, use wedding rings, get baptized, use the calendar, eat round cakes at parties? All are Pagan origins. You are the perfect example of a hypocrite.
@TheRealTruth1914 I One reason they do not celebrate birthdays,is because everything in the bible has a purpose, it took over 1400 years to write, so there is alot of info in there. there are 2 birthdays mentioned in the bible, both ended up where men lost their heads. if god wants us to celebrate birthdays, why are the only two mentioned birthdays ending with such natrosity? One was John the Baptist, Jesus cousin. I think God gives us his opinion here.
@shihtzufizzers, Did you pay attention to my video? My video addresses your questions. The Bible speaks of more than 2 birthdays including Jesus. You can interpret the Bible's accounts in many ways, notice my comment on 2:30
@gbrumfield98 If we were to celebrate birthdays, why is not the most important man ever birthday not listed in the bible? Plus the bible states the day we die is more important than the day we are born. We are an emply slate at birth. what we do with our life is what is important.
@shih tzu fizzers, It is normal to acknowledge one's birthday. It is HOW you celebrate it. You said: "what we do with our life is what is important". Surely we will not follow examples of evil men and HOW THEY celebrated birthdays. But it is not necessarily wrong to acknowledge your own birthday totally.
@TheRealTruth1914 Do you not think that if God wanted us to acknowledge ones birthday he would of given us the date of the most important birthday of them all, Jesus. So how can we say our birthday is more important than God's own son? I know you do not care for the JW's but as you can see, I do not treat others with disrespect. Some out there love to taunt us just as satan did jesus in the wilderness. Well Enjoy life and take care
@shihtzufizzers, The bible does not use dates but accounts at certain times. I am not disrespecting anyone. I did not say that our birthdays are more important than Christs. I am merly showing how one can interpret the Bible to accomidate ones belief.
@TheRealTruth1914 as you know JW worship God as pure as possible. We worship the God of Isaac and Abraham. Hebrews viewed birthdays as idolatrous worship. (see 10 commandments) a view of what we see widely today. worshiping oneself, which is a common observances today too. I know you did not show disrespect, someone else did so thank you for your respect.
@shihtzufizzers, Once again it is up to interpretation. If the Bible does not specify birthdays as being wrong, then no one should impose laws or restrictions on it with the fear of being chastised.
@TheRealTruth1914 the origins of birthdays lie in the realm of magic and religion which in ancient times gifts & celebrant were given to ensure security from demons. so birthdays come from pagan customs too. true religion would not mix pagan teachings with christian teachings. it would not be pure. I know you do not agree with jws and that is ok. I do, so peace be with you and enjoy life my friend
@TheRealTruth1914 the bible says nothing about smoking pot. so i get stoned and read psalms. i forget everything i read but it sure is fun and nothing wrong with sullying up the mind and having a good time. i just hope that lovers of pleasure has nothing to do with firing up a huge blunt at the kingdom hall.
@TheRealTruth1914 i agree ;it is how you celebrate anything, training ones conscience is very important not to do what anyone evil would do. Romans believed in a guardian angel to watch over you after your birth. giving them a relation with god. candles on cake honor of a person all rooted from magic. even though we do not have direct word from God not to celebrate birthdays, we are told to stay away from magic,in Duet.
@shihtzufizzers, An Awake article once said: (it doesn't matter the origins of such practices, what's important is it's meaning today.) This was an article that justified wedding rings, usage of flowers and cremation. These were all pagan practices. I do not support Hypocrisy or double standards. The truth will always remain the same, it does NOT change!
@TheRealTruth1914 weddings? God blessed us with giving us this opportunity.0 (marriage) He made the first one. Flowers created by god. I think you are an apostate, (according to the JW faith huh?) Yes we will always not understand everything. but we follow our heavenly father. just as a child may not understand all rules parents lay out kids still should be obediant. All men are imperfect. this will be my last entry to you, but i wish you well.
@shihtzufizzers, A fine example of how knowledge is important. Do a search on wedding RINGS. Do a search of the USAGE of flowers at funerals. Techanally, EVERYTHING originates with PAGANISM, does that mean we should avoid everything? Why is it that JW's avoid the facts when it comes to the origin of their religion? You can't have it two ways. Yes we SHOULD follow our father and NOT a man made Organization.
@shihtzufizzers, Let's use logic. No one celebrates a birthday as a form of magic or intensionally uses it to displease God. As you said: "not to do what anyone evil would do." Don't categorize what a parent does for a child as if it's used in an evil way. This is judgemental. Is it fair to look at the practices of Russell who practiced pyramidoligist, numeraligist and a free mason. Shouldn't we look at the WTS origins?
Jesus said: I must declare the good news of the kingdom of God, because for this I was sent forth. Luke 4:43 Christ commanded his disciples to share that same message with others. Matthew 24:14 Acts 20:20; 5:42
Jesus accepted worship because he is a god in the sense of being divine, but he is not the Father.
In the Scriptures, certain numbers have symbolic significance. The number seven, for example, is often used to symbolize that which is complete, or perfect, in God's eyes. Seven signifies divinely determined completeness. Revelation 1:4, 12, 16; 4:5; 5:1, 6; 10:3, 4.
Currently there are over 7 million people soon to be in number 7,777,777 (7x7) who are a witness about God's name J-E-H-O-V-A-H 7 letters.
The number seven in the Bible is clearly not paganism or numerology.
@ReligionOrTruth, The Watchtower teaches that the one language that will be used in the future will be the original language of Adam and Eve, Hebrew. God's name in Hebrew is 4 letters. Sorry, try again :(
...languages such as Hebrew and Phoenician. Aramaic script was widely adopted for other languages and is ancestral to both the Arabic and Hebrew alphabets. Throughout history Aramaic has served variously as a language of administration of empires and as a language of divine worship. It was the day-to-day language of Israel in the Second Temple period (539 BCE 70 CE), was the original language of large sections of the biblical books of Daniel and Ezra, and was the language spoken by Jesus!
TheRealTruth1914 - Aramaic is probably more accurate. JHVH (transliteration of Hebrew) how do you pronounce it since Hebrew has no vowels? Add some vowels and you have a 7 letter pronounciation of God's name.
Aramaic is a Semitic language which includes Canaanite...
@ReligionOrTruth, don't get confused, the vowels are missing but the Jewish religious leaders also removed some letters from the name so it would not be pronounced. The four letters we have now are not complete, so we can never know exactly the correct pronunciation of God's Holy name. You should stop playing with numbers to understand God, it is of pagan origins.
@ReligionOrTruth, numbers in the Bible do not symbolize, they represent. The numbers in them selves are not pagan, but using them as a means to promote occurrences, like prediction, is pagan.
I love Jehovah and you can still have fun..you can throw a party just because....does it alway have to be revolved around a birthday or christmas or easter? You people choose that.
@jzychk81, You are correct. We all can have fun anytime, but why judge others for enjoying a special day? Don't JW's celebrate wedding anniversaries once a year? Is it Scriptural? Is there any proof that Christians celebrated wedding anniversaries? Is it wrong?
@jzychk81 - Romans chapter 14 starting at verse 5: "One [man] judges one day as above another; another [man] judges one day as all others; let each [man] be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who observes the day observes it to Jehovah."
10 "But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you also look down on your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God;" (continued)
@jzychk81 - verse 11 "for it is written: As I live, says Jehovah, to me every knee will bend down, and every tongue will make open acknowledgment to God. 12 So, then, each of us will render an account for himself to God.
13 Therefore let us not be judging one another any longer, but rather make this your decision"
Excellent logic debunking another man made rule of the Watchtower. The WTS are Pharasies increasing the burdens of the witnesses unnecessarily. I grew up not celebrating birthdays, Christmas and other holidays, I am determined my kids will have a normal childhood. Thanks for posting your video.
Brother, you have greatly confused me. Are you saying the almighty Watchtower could be wrong? They are uninspiredly led of gog, don't you know this? And what is up with this hard music? Couldn't you have put a kingdom melody instead?
Your handlers have TRAINED you to think that, anyone that leaves this unscriptural org is AUTOMATICALLY bad, evil, miserable, SATANIC people. Can YOU identify an apostate when you see one? Let us know what they look like.
Also, your pompous, self-righteous attitude shows that you're automatically an Armageddon survivor? How do YOU have that 'privilege'? YOU saw god's "book of life"? You're name was in there?
@jzychk81 - I never said five days, read my comment again, I said five weekly meetings, which are: 1- Public Talk, 2 - Watchtower Study, 3- Congregation Bible Study, 4 - Theocratic Ministry School, 5 - Service Meeting. And after 15 years of these meetings, I think I do have my facts very straight...
And before you criticize others you should learn how to spell...
I also think they deliberately put bans on anything that will encourage association with the outside world. Kids invite each other round for bday parties, xmas parties, easter egg hunts and all that. Weddings are usually family affairs or mainly involve other JWs so they're not quite so threatening.
Yes, I agree...and the Watchtower might want to look into the pagan origin of wedding rings...I tell you...it is man that makes so much more out of simple principals...and it is this realization that brings me sincere joy and peace from within...for, I will have not part of being a fanatic.

We Celebrate Jesus' DEATH, he told us to Luke 22:19..
eternityandforever 9 months ago
@eternityandforever @eternityandforever House of rejoicing? Ok, then stop all celebrations including, family gatherings, anniversaries, graduations, etc. The banquet house does NOT refer specifically to a Birthday. That Scripture compares the importance of observing certain occasions over others that are not appropriate at the time.
Yes, you do twist Scriptures to fit the WTS doctrines. The Bible does not state many things, but does it mean that it never happened?
TheRealTruth1914 9 months ago

@eternityandforever
"Many people celebrate their b-days, drinking to the point of drunkeness-NOT A WISE THING TO DO-1".
So if I don't celebrate my birthday to the point of drunkenness IT IS A WISE THING TO DO?
There is no idolizing done in throwing a birthday party for a loved one.
If you still say it is, Why are Jehovah's Witnesses allowed to celebrate the day of one's wedding - gifts often presented?
An interesting detail is that the angels celebrated the birth of Jesus, Luke 2.
tommotian 5 months ago
@eternityandforever
"songs". ? ?
I assume you mean the song "happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you ...". What's wrong with asking for happiness in someone's life?
But it is in your boring religion.

The bible says celebrate DEATH-Eccleciastes 7:1-8, verse 4,"The heart of the wise ones is in the house of mourning, but the heart of the stupid ones is in the house of rejoicing."BIBLE IS TRUTH.
eternityandforever 9 months ago

TheRealTruth1914 9 months ago

TheRealTruth1914 1 year ago
@TheRealTruth1914 everything in the bible has a purpose. otherwise it would so large it would not be able to be carried. Yes common sense, Jesus was in heaven w/ his father, he knew what his father wanted. He knew how Jehovah feels about birthdays. Going to the bathroom is natrual, you are using two different things. nature and self loathing celebration. Never says Jesus took a bath either. should we bath? see how stupid your comment sounds? come on now.
shihtzufizzers 1 year ago
@shihtzufizzers Did you see my video? Did you understand the points? Of course not! Not all birthdays are as you said "loathing". It all depends How you celebrate your birthday. Have you ever celebrated your birthday? Probably not. The Bible speaks of people getting drunk and also committing incest due to wine, does that mean wine is bad and should not be taken? Jesus drank wine. Too much of ANYTHING can be harmful. Your comments are focused on faults rather than seeing the good, sound familiar?
TheRealTruth1914 1 year ago
@TheRealTruth1914 well this video really does not show the truth of the bible yet. Yes Jehovah prophecied. yet many scriptures have more than one meaning. there is a msg for us. a purpose for the info. you missed it. Think of job, he has sons and celebrated each ones day. does it say birthday? no day in Hebrew, means Day and birthday has another word helluthm ( i believe) two words. so no where in the original scriptures show bday celebrations. just in the msg, or purpose God gives us in bible
shihtzufizzers 1 year ago

Originally worn by wives only, wedding rings became customary for both husbands and wives during the 20th century." A day earlier I was reading about God's commandments and left the Bible open on my computer desk. Let us rejoice and give thanks to GOD for every birthday of the special people in our lives, including our own.
shalimarsgirl 1 year ago
@shalimarsgirl bible does tells us that the day we are born is not as important at the day we die. for what have we done at birth compared to our life? Age is mentioned alot in the bible. AGE not Birthday celebrations, In fact two are mentioned and at both parties men were beheaded. Everything in the bible has a purpose, What is the purpose of telling us about these birthdays if god wanted us to celebrate them? Or was he telling us they are not approved by him? Think about it, y r they n bible?
shihtzufizzers 1 year ago
@shihtzufizzers Just because two men were beheaded on a birthday doesn't that I can't celebrate the lives of my children & loved ones who are all a gift from God. Every day of our lives is important to God & the Bible says "Today if you hear His voice, harden not your heart." It's not sin to say "Happy Birthday, God bless you" to loved ones but it's praising God for another year of their lives & showing love. God's 10 Commandments say what's holy & what's sin to God. Birthdays are not a sin!
shalimarsgirl 1 year ago

HairyQMoog 1 year ago
@HairyQMoog in the satan church, birthdays are the most favorable celebration. they choose this as there favorite holiday. Why? because it makes them the most important person for that day, puts them selves about anyone else. Should we put ourselves above God on any day and then celebrate it? Sometimes really thinking things out can show you alot. Halloween is in churches, celebrating of demons, ect. how can churches have a clean conscience doing this?
shihtzufizzers 1 year ago
@shihtzufizzers You are missing the point. You are over exaggerating what a birthday is all about. 1) Birthdays are focused on a person just as a wedding is focused on a couple. 2) birthdays are a celebration of life, just like marriage is a celebration of union. Both are gifts from God. You can not expect everyone to celebrate things the same way. Many weddings can be done untastefully, does that mean all wedding celebrations are wrong?

FYI - the tradition of birthday parties started in Europe a long time ago. It was feared that evil spirits were particularly attracted to people on their birthdays. To protect them from harm, friends and family would to come be with the birthday person and bring good thoughts and wishes. Giving gifts brought even more good cheer to ward off the evil spirits. So in ancient times. it meant to protect the birthday celebrant from the demons and to ensure his security for the coming year.
gbrumfield98 1 year ago
@gbrumfield98, There are many thoughts about it's origin, including Egypt, Greece and Germany. Thanks for your input. Either way, it's normal to keep track of someone's birthday.
TheRealTruth1914 1 year ago
@TheRealTruth1914 Yea there are many thoughts. But Paganism can be traced back to it's roots. Such as Christmas, Halloween, Easter and Birthdays. The Beliefs of the Jehovah's Witnesses is not to offend God by "Doing what is normal" if what is normal is offensive to God. The Bible is Clear on Paganism and how God feels about it. "Touch nothing unclean.—Isaiah 52:11
gbrumfield98 1 year ago
@gbrumfield98, Yes this is true, but the WTS are hypocrites when they justify other pagan origins by saying that the important thing is what it means TODAY. These traditions used in holidays are no longer used for pagan reasons. This is the reasoning that is wrong, to be selective in teachings, just like the blood issue. It is either all or none, not some. :)
TheRealTruth1914 1 year ago
@TheRealTruth1914 That is not what your Video is saying. The origin of religious celebrations has a bearing on whether they please God or not. See Isaiah 52:11 and Revelation 18:4. There is no mistaking this. Your Video post is inaccurate and misleading the reasons why Jehovah's Witnesses don't celebrate Birthdays.
gbrumfield98 1 year ago
@gbrumfield98, Please enlighten us. What does my video say? If the Scriptures indicate to get out what is not pleasing to God, why do you follow a man made Organization that has made numerous false predictions, was founded by a man that was very much involved in pagan pratices and also claim to be the way to salvation?
TheRealTruth1914 1 year ago
@gbrumfield98, My video is not inaccurate. It simply addresses some of the reasons used by JW's in defense of their stand on Birthdays (which is NOT a religious celebration as you state). Look at my video again, I'm only asking questions and letting the viewer make their own conclusions. I am not forcing my opinion like the WTS does.
TheRealTruth1914 1 year ago
@TheRealTruth1914 , I am sorry, your video is very inaccurate. Did you not say in your video "There is nothing in the Word of God that by principle or Direct reference condemns observing birthdays"? Yet false worship in Rev 18:4 says Get out, and Isaiah 52:11 says touch nothing unclean. If a Celebration is founded by pagan worship, and those scriptures make it clear what should be done in principle and direct reference against Paganism.
Thus your vid is inaccurate.
gbrumfield98 1 year ago
gbrumfield98, You are a typical JW's who tries to find something that is not there and you are avoiding the obvious.
TheRealTruth1914 1 year ago
@TheRealTruth1914 I One reason they do not celebrate birthdays,is because everything in the bible has a purpose, it took over 1400 years to write, so there is alot of info in there. there are 2 birthdays mentioned in the bible, both ended up where men lost their heads. if god wants us to celebrate birthdays, why are the only two mentioned birthdays ending with such natrosity? One was John the Baptist, Jesus cousin. I think God gives us his opinion here.
shihtzufizzers 1 year ago
@shihtzufizzers, Did you pay attention to my video? My video addresses your questions. The Bible speaks of more than 2 birthdays including Jesus. You can interpret the Bible's accounts in many ways, notice my comment on 2:30
TheRealTruth1914 1 year ago
@gbrumfield98 If we were to celebrate birthdays, why is not the most important man ever birthday not listed in the bible? Plus the bible states the day we die is more important than the day we are born. We are an emply slate at birth. what we do with our life is what is important.
shihtzufizzers 1 year ago
@shih tzu fizzers, It is normal to acknowledge one's birthday. It is HOW you celebrate it. You said: "what we do with our life is what is important". Surely we will not follow examples of evil men and HOW THEY celebrated birthdays. But it is not necessarily wrong to acknowledge your own birthday totally.
TheRealTruth1914 1 year ago
@TheRealTruth1914 Do you not think that if God wanted us to acknowledge ones birthday he would of given us the date of the most important birthday of them all, Jesus. So how can we say our birthday is more important than God's own son? I know you do not care for the JW's but as you can see, I do not treat others with disrespect. Some out there love to taunt us just as satan did jesus in the wilderness. Well Enjoy life and take care
shihtzufizzers 1 year ago
@shihtzufizzers, The bible does not use dates but accounts at certain times. I am not disrespecting anyone. I did not say that our birthdays are more important than Christs. I am merly showing how one can interpret the Bible to accomidate ones belief.
TheRealTruth1914 1 year ago
@TheRealTruth1914 as you know JW worship God as pure as possible. We worship the God of Isaac and Abraham. Hebrews viewed birthdays as idolatrous worship. (see 10 commandments) a view of what we see widely today. worshiping oneself, which is a common observances today too. I know you did not show disrespect, someone else did so thank you for your respect.
shihtzufizzers 1 year ago
@shihtzufizzers, Once again it is up to interpretation. If the Bible does not specify birthdays as being wrong, then no one should impose laws or restrictions on it with the fear of being chastised.
TheRealTruth1914 1 year ago
@TheRealTruth1914 the origins of birthdays lie in the realm of magic and religion which in ancient times gifts & celebrant were given to ensure security from demons. so birthdays come from pagan customs too. true religion would not mix pagan teachings with christian teachings. it would not be pure. I know you do not agree with jws and that is ok. I do, so peace be with you and enjoy life my friend

HairyQMoog 1 year ago
@TheRealTruth1914 i agree ;it is how you celebrate anything, training ones conscience is very important not to do what anyone evil would do. Romans believed in a guardian angel to watch over you after your birth. giving them a relation with god. candles on cake honor of a person all rooted from magic. even though we do not have direct word from God not to celebrate birthdays, we are told to stay away from magic,in Duet.
shihtzufizzers 1 year ago
@shihtzufizzers, An Awake article once said: (it doesn't matter the origins of such practices, what's important is it's meaning today.) This was an article that justified wedding rings, usage of flowers and cremation. These were all pagan practices. I do not support Hypocrisy or double standards. The truth will always remain the same, it does NOT change!
TheRealTruth1914 1 year ago
@TheRealTruth1914 weddings? God blessed us with giving us this opportunity.0 (marriage) He made the first one. Flowers created by god. I think you are an apostate, (according to the JW faith huh?) Yes we will always not understand everything. but we follow our heavenly father. just as a child may not understand all rules parents lay out kids still should be obediant. All men are imperfect. this will be my last entry to you, but i wish you well.
shihtzufizzers 1 year ago
@shihtzufizzers, A fine example of how knowledge is important. Do a search on wedding RINGS. Do a search of the USAGE of flowers at funerals. Techanally, EVERYTHING originates with PAGANISM, does that mean we should avoid everything? Why is it that JW's avoid the facts when it comes to the origin of their religion? You can't have it two ways. Yes we SHOULD follow our father and NOT a man made Organization.
TheRealTruth1914 1 year ago
@shihtzufizzers, Let's use logic. No one celebrates a birthday as a form of magic or intensionally uses it to displease God. As you said: "not to do what anyone evil would do." Don't categorize what a parent does for a child as if it's used in an evil way. This is judgemental. Is it fair to look at the practices of Russell who practiced pyramidoligist, numeraligist and a free mason. Shouldn't we look at the WTS origins?

Another defense of JW's is: "No Christians in the Bible celebrated birthdays."
How do we know? The Bible can not detail everything. Did Christians celebrate wedding anniversaries, give gifts and use a cake at such an event?
Why take the importance of life away from people who are grateful of this God giving gift?

Will You Listen to the Kingdom Message?
Jesus said: I must declare the good news of the kingdom of God, because for this I was sent forth. Luke 4:43 Christ commanded his disciples to share that same message with others. Matthew 24:14 Acts 20:20; 5:42
Jesus accepted worship because he is a god in the sense of being divine, but he is not the Father.
John 4:21-24

John 20:17
I believe that Jesus died as a ransom sacrifice for our sins and is now a heavenly King.

In the near future we will know the actual pronounciation of God's name and it will be 7 letters in the one language for the Paradise Earth.

@ReligionOrTruth, The Watchtower teaches that the one language that will be used in the future will be the original language of Adam and Eve, Hebrew. God's name in Hebrew is 4 letters. Sorry, try again :(
TheRealTruth1914 2 years ago
...languages such as Hebrew and Phoenician.
ReligionOrTruth 1 year ago
TheRealTruth1914 - Aramaic is probably more accurate. JHVH (transliteration of Hebrew) how do you pronounce it since Hebrew has no vowels? Add some vowels and you have a 7 letter pronounciation of God's name.
Aramaic is a Semitic language which includes Canaanite...
ReligionOrTruth 1 year ago
@ReligionOrTruth, don't get confused, the vowels are missing but the Jewish religious leaders also removed some letters from the name so it would not be pronounced. The four letters we have now are not complete, so we can never know exactly the correct pronunciation of God's Holy name. You should stop playing with numbers to understand God, it is of pagan origins.

@jzychk81, You are correct. We all can have fun anytime, but why judge others for enjoying a special day? Don't JW's celebrate wedding anniversaries once a year? Is it Scriptural? Is there any proof that Christians celebrated wedding anniversaries? Is it wrong?

Excellent logic debunking another man made rule of the Watchtower. The WTS are Pharasies increasing the burdens of the witnesses unnecessarily. I grew up not celebrating birthdays, Christmas and other holidays, I am determined my kids will have a normal childhood. Thanks for posting your video.

Brother, you have greatly confused me. Are you saying the almighty Watchtower could be wrong? They are uninspiredly led of gog, don't you know this? And what is up with this hard music? Couldn't you have put a kingdom melody instead?

@TheScrewedGeneration -so many are leaving cause they would rather live in satans world then in gods. See you in armagedon.

@jzychk81, your response to TheScrewedGeneration is not a good example of being a Christian.

Remember, the bible CLEARLY states that those that think highly of themselves are the FIRST to fall. = )
Have a nice day!

Thank you brother! I love you too.

Excellent video!
It once again becomes clear why so many are leaving: You can't question any of the teachings.
Unless you first leave of course.
If you are a JW I suggest you do that.

Also, if JW's celebrated their Birthday, they would miss the meeting that day... can't have that.
Same with all the other Holidays. They would interfere with their five weekly meetings.

@4thefaithful -by the way it 3 days. befor you critisize you should get your facts straight
jzychk81 2 years ago
jzychk81, meetings are broken into two parts except for the book study. That makes it five meetings a week :)
TheRealTruth1914 2 years ago
Thank you :)
4thefaithful 2 years ago
@jzychk81 - I never said five days, read my comment again, I said five weekly meetings, which are: 1- Public Talk, 2 - Watchtower Study, 3- Congregation Bible Study, 4 - Theocratic Ministry School, 5 - Service Meeting. And after 15 years of these meetings, I think I do have my facts very straight...
And before you criticize others you should learn how to spell...

It's all about doing away with anything that might be fun. Make life a living hell while telling them it's paradise.

I also think they deliberately put bans on anything that will encourage association with the outside world. Kids invite each other round for bday parties, xmas parties, easter egg hunts and all that. Weddings are usually family affairs or mainly involve other JWs so they're not quite so threatening.

@zeldagoblin what does an easter egg hunt have to do with god...you should be able to have an easter egg hunt in the middle of summer just because..

Yes, I agree...and the Watchtower might want to look into the pagan origin of wedding rings...I tell you...it is man that makes so much more out of simple principals...and it is this realization that brings me sincere joy and peace from within...for, I will have not part of being a fanatic.
