Sad but true. It's definitely not because she lacks talent. It's more marketing. A lot of talented asian artists (ie. yuna ito, coco lee, etc) just aren't working with the right people. Plus the music industry is dominated and pushed with black artists in her genre of music. They would never let her overtake someone like beyonce.

Utada is a 10. Not even 10. 12. She actually knows English, and was born in America. Boa isn't even a 7 in my opinion. 6.5. :S It's very conversational; a lot of the times she wasn't even answering the questions as fluently as she could have. But it's nice that she realizes that it's a problem though.

In the sense that she studders, which is quite natural for a lot of English speaking folk. However, you are quite right, sometimes, she takes a bit to put words together, perhaps because she is so used to speaking Japanese. But many English-speakers do the same, so it's not that she isn't as articulate as everyone, for she definitely is, it's just she has trouble finding words fit to every situation.

It's not that she's slow. Just, nervous. Not as out-going.
