No BS this happened to a group of me and my friends when we took the DEER TRAIL to the waterfall... i never knew zoar was haunted and when i saw this chills when up and down my spine... we never made a big deal of it but we saw two guys walking into an area only a couple seconds ahead of us and we rounded the bend to see if they knew if it was the yellow or white marks we had to follow they were no where.... this has been an eye opening you tube video for me bc i never thought i would believe...

Because of the out of town visitors getting hurt, killed ect. and people who dont respect nature most of what they are calling zoar has been closed down. Ive lived here most of my life, hiked, swam there and take my children there, City people bring glass and break bottles, leave their dirty diapers and trash. I have never seen a ghost but have seen more than one tombstone and whats left from a hippy colony from the 50s or 60s. its a great place to visit

yea you guys call the cops on the people that try to jump off the cliff into the water. I love how your parents act all nice and try and get information from what we are doing on your property. They normal drive on their atv's so be cautious if you don't want to get arrested by the state troopers

I live in Gowanda and  I can assure you that YOUR FAMILY DOES NOT OWN ZOAR VALLEY!!!

Also, I have been there enough times to stop counting and I can tell you that the place is not haunted.......at least from what I have experienced (or not experienced). JN Adam in Perrysburg is more haunted than Zoar.

there is a grave near the flats but it just a tombstone that reads Thomas dutton he had a trading post on that very bend an he was killed in the 1800s.the 1st tombstone was authentic carved into a rock.that is now in the gowanda museme. they town replaced Dutton with a new stone. an where the stone is now is not certin thats where the original rock was

ok for 1 i live in GOWANDA an walk thru that very place where this video was shot atleast 4 times a week an it not haunted.people do die tho..those people are idiots from the buffalo area that get very drunk an get lost an or fall of cliffs. not haunted but stupidity. there has also "ufos" around these parts if you listen to certin people.

I've hiked all the back nooks and crannies of Zoar and never even thought it was haunted.

I've walked all the edges, all the valley and climbed out of the valley at the South Branch falls. No Ghost.

BTW, the gravestone is there as a memorial to a person that drowned in the main creek, he's not buried there.

i too have been to zoar valley and haven't had any brush with ghosts,jason,mike meyers..etc.BUT i will say this...just because YOU go to a place x amount of times and don't see anything, does NOT mean the place isn't haunted. that's narrow minded to think that way. be open to anything. maybe the ghost or spirit doesn't think you're worth his/her time at that particular moment.

This video is so stupid. I go to Zoar all the time and it's not haunted. If people get lost that's their own fault. Yes, there used to be a village down there, you can still see foundations of house and an old wrecked car. There's a grave with a head stone and so on. These people who made the video didn't even go into the valley they just walked out to the peak, big deal. They don't know anything about the history of Zoar from the sounds of it.

i have been to Zoar Valley MILLIONS of times with my family and the only creepy thing we saw is that old crashed up car that fell off a cliff........WE DID NOT SEE ANY GHOSTS!IT IS NOT HAUNTED!

Ok Zoar Valley isnt haunted. I was down there doing some bike riding yesterday. This is BS. Grow up!!! Haunted places? yeah right. Oh yeah the burned out tree was stuck by lightning. ITs a beautiful place. Not haunted. Babies!!

There are multiple entrances, but generally it's about 45 minutes south of Buffalo--get to Gowanda and you can find your way to Zoar Valley. And yes, it is a very beautiful place. Of course, all the "opening to the mind" in the world won't help the local drunks/teens/drunken teens who fall from the cliffs every summer.
