Anyway: I'm getting a bengalcat in a few weeks, and it's not easy to see what kind of pattern he will get thanks to his fuzzyness. But the breeder say that they specialice in jet black marckings, spots, wild expressions, and glitter. Can I e-mail you a picture of his fur (at 6-8 weeks) so you maybe can tell me what kind of pattern he will gett when he is older? If you don't mind...
@angelswings19 you can send a picture to "myaddressforpictures@comcast.net"
The fuzzies don't really conceal the markings. You can tell if marble or spotted, dark or light, glitter, etc. I have a page on Bengal chatter on which I analyse Koru's kitten coat. I'll send that to you in a message
Glitter shoudl be apparent as soon as they are done with the fuzzies. Unlike their pattern spreading over their first year, or eye color developing over 3 years, gillter should show early. I'll email you a link to the best pictures for recognizing glitter. (youtube comments don't appear to allow web links in them.
many as soon as they are born you can see the glitter if you look really hard. Usually on the bridge of the nose or on the top of the head or paws. It does seem to become more evident as they grow.
In pictures or words, it is hard to describe the difference between glossy shiny fur and glitter. But in person, they are much different. Glitter does only show when light reflects, but it is sort of the difference between a clean car that shines in the sun, and a car with metallic flecs in the paint where there are sparkles within it.
Another fascinating aspect of fur is on most multi-color cat each hair has all their colors. So when your Bengal, calico, or Siamese(tuxedo cat?) rubs against you and leaves hair on your slacks, grab a single hair. For a Bengal, that 1-inch long hair will have sections of black, gold brown, and even white from their tummy. What you see when the cat walks by is just the color on the tip of each hair. Pet your cat backwards once... This seems like the hard way to make a multi-color coat!

I know it's hard to capture it on video, but I think I spotted it a few times. :)
My cat isn't a Bengal or any specific breed, probably a mix of some sort, but she has very shiny fur too. :D
Thanks for uploading another video!
