  • Hey how many Soviet flags were being waved at the climate protest? TONS!!!

  • Fortunately or unfortunately, the US does not have a monopoly on stupidity.

  • Wonders how many of them were liberals?..more than likely all.

  • There are many people who do not think the compromises being made are sufficient to do anything significant to slow down climate change, and they are right.

  • What does this have to do with the soviet flag carriers? Ahh thats right pay more money to poor countries and the Earth is happier all by itself. Yanno your side still has to prove the effects of man...CRU temp data was a bust....

  • We have science. We have evidence. We have models. We have math. All the deniers have is hand waving.

  • Hand waving the new term for proof the alarmists are fucking up data? You must be out of the loop unless you just read what you side allows you to and ignore what they want supressed.

You have political science. You have cherry picked evidence. Non working models. You have incomplete math...anything else?

  • It is clear to me you haven't understood anything I've said. I specifically spoke out against cherry picked data. I specifically spoke in favor of refining computer models. You think you're above it because you shit all over it but have precious little to offer of your own.

  • Ok smart guy name another science that is correct thats margin of ERROR is greater than what it is measuring. All of the Hadley Centres modles are THAT WAY and they are often called the most accurate, funny thing is Hadley is the CRU.

  • Quantum Mechanics.

  • Blowup doll?

  • 03:36

Never perfect enough? IT'S OUR MONEY!!! If the government can be as good at TAKING our money as they are, but suck at giving us a return, you'd better goddamn well belief it's not perfect enough!!! Ain't nothing petty NOR shameful about demanding accountability from government!

Only thing shameful is to EXCUSE this government!

  • 3:22

Stop for a minute - suppose it was a Bush policy and let's hear an honest reaction! :P

  • In your "con" video you defended the stimulus by saying "we can't go back in time and see what it would be like without it". Now we see that money has been wasted on phony districts and you say "nothing is perfect".

So while were at it, is there any other excuses you would like to make on Obama's behalf.

  • I am not making excuses. I do not agree with Obama on many issues. I think he caved in completely to Wall Street. I wonder how they got to him. Obama is not the only one calling for stimulus, but it is going to be useless until he reforms wall street and their propensity for playing the economy like a big casino.

  • "we can't go back in time and see what it would be like without it" & "nothing is perfect"" sound a lot like excuses, especially when used as a retort as to when someone gives evidence that the stimulus is failing. Also back in your con video you've said that "congress had slowed to a crawl" "thanks to the republicans" The blame seems to be shifted to one side.

  • We simply don't know how far the economy would have failed without it. The stimulus was not intended to fix the economy, only to forestall disaster. The free market mentality that led us into this disaster is still being defended by the fanatics who refuse to admit they got it wrong.

  • since we "cant go back in time", the spending of 787 billion dollars immune to criticism and that any evidence that shows negative effects should be completely ignored. Considering the massive amount of money being spent on this stimulus, the burden of proof should be on those who are supporting it. So instead of Obamabot, why not provide proof that the stimulus is working?

Also, Obama said that because of this stimulus, unemployment would not exceed 8%, its at 10.2% right now. Any excuses?

  • Of course there are negative effects. The point is to keep the patient alive. We do know that allowing the financial system to collapse would have put the economy in a tail spin. What I don't like is that precious little has been done to correct the fundamental problems with the financial system and for the economy as a whole. We can't expect the patient to support himself on life support.

  • Man you are some sort of lazy freak who doesn't know what happens to bussinesses that fail...the big ones get broken up and sold.

  • Banks have no capital assets worth much of anything. If a bank goes bankrupt, that is pretty much it. Nothing really to sell except the buildings. The creditors get pretty much nothing. You must have banks confused with businesses that actually produce something of value.

  • Ahh so Obama ordering big banks to buy up broke banks meant what then? Banks also have assets that they still get money on it just is not enough to keep the bank up and running.

  • That is the first I heard of anything like that. I googled and came up empty. Do you have some kind of reference for that assertion?

  • OMFG "Federal 'threat' sealed bank takeover" I thought you kept up with this stuff.

  • tubaboy71, are you referring to Paulson and Bernanke coercing Bank of America to buy up toxic assets?

  • This was after Paulson.....good try though look it up.

  • Well, I wasn't trying anything. It's not a partisan thing for me. It was the highest profile bank takeover I've heard of so far. If there've been more after Paulson, they deserve the light of day!

  • look up the quote from 2 days ago. Obama thinks the world is Daily's Chicago.

  • Gotcha.

  • That was to complete a deal already negotiated. That was to prevent them from backing out on an obligation. That was enforced by Bernanke and Paulson, not Obama. Completely different meaning than what you claimed. I invite you to read your claim again. This is why I don't trust conservatives.

  • The threats reportedly came from Obama's administration well after Paulson left, regardless how you try to paint it it at least proves that government is running what it has no business being in. There is PLENTY more on the topic, in fact far too much for you not to know anything about unless you flat out just deny it going on. That is why I do not believe liberals, when it comes to reality they just lie baby lie.

  • That is a loaded assertion, "what government has no business being in". I happen to think it is government's responsibility to stabilize the economy. People like you don't care if it crashes and burns because you think you are immune from its effects.

  • Kind of like the first Afgan surge Obama tries to take credit for? How about the Iraq exit strategy? After all the closer to actual deployment Obama added 9k troops to what Bush was already sending (Is that being a bigger war monger?). Also if Obama was so caught up into doing Afganastan right and checking with NATO forces why couldn't he state what exactly NATO was giving? Even the UK said his waiting took away support.

  • I disagree with Obama's afghan "strategy". I think he is just forestalling the withdrawal so he won't face the heat in the next election. It is a short term political strategy. The truth is we just don't have the resources to do the job right.

  • No Obama doesn't have the resources from between his ears to do any job right.

  • I would venture he is smarter than you. I would put money on it.

  • I can at least say I have done something he hasn't, and the sad part many others can say the same. He would fail in the real world, btw like your Goldmember immitation

  • He is president of the United States. Please inform me how that is failing in the "real" world. It seems to me your "real" world isn't very real at all.

  • He has never ran a business and anything he has ever delt with as far as dealing in money for the poor and education has FAILED. His administration has the LOWEST ammount of business experience of any modern day president. Sure he might have academics but unless you know how to apply what you know you fail just like he has. Only thing you can say is he can spend a lot of OTHER PEOPLES money. That job summit he had was a totally weak attempt. No NFoIB or Chamber of Commerce, but unions& Krugman?

  • What a shame it is that after crashing the economy we don't seek the advice of the right wing anymore. We already know EXACTLY where you stand.

  • So tell me J0nny, how does spending barrowed money save the economy? Might work for a small businness to get by for a month but is utter stupidity to prop up what is broken while breaking down what is suffering (small business)

  • The borrowing will not save the economy long term. It is only a temporary measure to prevent people from going under while real changes are made to the economy. Unfortunately with the republicans dragging their heels on everything, necessary changes to the economy are not taking place.

  • If the democrats have a SUPER MAJORITY why do they need a republican?.......I mean u are saying these plans are so great yet democrats wont vote for it

  • That's right play stupid.

  • Play stupid? FUNNY..hey did you look at the polls lately?

  • Republicans poll worse than dirt. Democrats would poll better if they didn't let republicans get in the way of just about everything.

  • you dont keep up very well LOL cause that has totally flipped. If RCP used 2 diff polls republicans would be up by 7 instead of 1 LOL

  • If the democrats let themselves get pushed around by republicans, then there isn't really much of a fucking difference.

  • Democrats are being bullied by the polls. No credible poll is healthcare a majority, no credible poll has Obama above 50%. No credible poll has democrats polling higher than republicans. Democrats have a supermajority straight across the board, if they wanted to pass your crap they would they do not need 1 single Republican vote. Again if these things like crap and trade and healthcare and banking reform were so fucking great americans would want it! Fact is they don't!

  • lol

  • I made a 4-part critique of the story of stuff....how much more in depth do you want me to go?

  • That series was 100% Nit Picking.

  • LOL never perfect? 98 billion a year wasted is petty? Team player teachers? So billy getting an D in Math is the English teachers fault even though he gets a B in English? Just because a person has the label of teacher doesn't mean they teach or are even good at it.

  • It is your lack of imagination that fails to see how teachers can interfere either positively or negatively in the education of children.

  • I would say your imagination and reality are pretty skewed.

  • In your little world everyone competes.

  • in your even smaller world nobody tries to do the very best they can. They would rather sit around smoking weed and play xbox all day rather than get a job.

  • That is patently untrue. People are naturally driven to excel at work. Unemployment very often brings depression. Your model of human behavior is not consistent with science.

  • That is a lie, if you do not make the work place competitive you end up with a t-ball league.

  • The work place is already competitive. Competition is a vital part of human nature. You mistakenly think people only compete if their lives are threatened. There is no need to make it more competitive.

  • ???I never said that, people compete to make more money which is capitalism...in your world they will be forced to do what the government says.

  • @J0hnWi11iams, you've made quite a few videos calling HTWW on his continual and desperate nitpicking, and you're right on the money each time.

Could you please create a playlist on your channel of all your HTWW rebutals?

Also could you include the following tags "htww howtheworldworks how the world works lee doren" in each of your rebutal videos? It would make finding these videos far easier, and likely increase their views and ratings.

    Keep up the good fight.

  • cooperation over competition

competition not only produce negative consequences but also feeds negative behavior

  • There is always a combination of cooperation and competition in social organizations. Schools are no different. Some level of competition is healthy. What is unhealthy is when competition of over emphasized and cooperation is completely neglected.

  • also true, but I think that especially at an early age, it should be avoided.

  • You did not even address ACORN. Stop red-herringing HTWW.

It is like this James Hanson story faking data for NASA. They might have made a mistake, but I and HTWW's Lee think Obama and his Czars did invent these numbers on the go.

  • Lee doesn't promote facts. He promotes fearmongering tactics to attempt to highten his destructive agenda.

I wonder if he realizes we've been watching the FALL of capitalism over the past decade.

  • There is no "fall" of capitalism neither is there any "contradiction" in capitalism. Once the market stops finding new places to grow into, supply and demand will simply put the economy back into equilibrium like it was 500 years ago before the invention of technology.

Mankind has been using capitalism for thousands of years and often without any room for growth (before technology gave it more room to grow) and there as no contradiction.

  • People just don't get it.

The reason the teachers union protested even "performance based" bonuses was that the teachers aren't supposed to be competing together. Their goal is to educate, not make a profit. They're not corporate execs looking for biscuits. They're fucking TEACHERS.

  • I see nothing particularly wrong with incentives as long as the incentives are what people want to be doing anyway and produce the best overall results. When misapplied it can cause local rather than global optimization. It is far more important that teachers cooperate.

  • I think Lee knows exactly how full of shit he is, but he's clearly working his way up to get a job on FOX.

  • @onlywhenprovoked Where, according to Jon Stewart, "you're a political expert by showing up".

  • You got proof? Such is a serious allegation. You can say someone is an a-hole, this is protected by the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights of the Constitution of the United States of America, God Bless. Saying someone is knowingly talking bs is defamation, you heard right, defamation. I am a lawyer, so I should know.

  • @hyperwhatever

If you're going to claim to be a lawyer, perhaps you should look up the words slander, libel and defamation... this way it might be a little bit believable.

Because any lawyer (or even freshman law student) would have seen that I started my sentence with "I think" and that makes it my opinion - which I am entitled to, all I want.

It's also my opinion that you are an lying, half wit "a-hole". Not a big surprise you'd be sticking up for Lee. Birds of a feather, and all that.

  • "Birds of a feather" oh onlywhenprovoked what are you talking about?

You think? You Darwin or somebody?

Me thinks you are a liberal drone trying to bring HTWW down.

Objectivism is true and the person "I think" want to hide behind relativist subjectivism and not take responsibility for their statements. There is no such right as leading Constitutional judiciary philosophers, such as Leonard Peikoff, PhD, would assert.

  • Nice attempt at side stepping the obvious fact that everything you said in your previous post was utter and complete bullshit.

Seriously, look words up before you toss them around. Or perhaps you should just quit talking out your ass - and start filing that lawsuit, you twit.

    Good luck with that. lol
