Had to laugh even though I was a snowbird for 6 years. Actually, in our area (The Villages) I was a snowflake! Snowbirds rent, snowflakes own a home in Fl. We are now full time residents and, like everyone else, can moan about the snowbirds now.
I'll bet I have watched this over a dozen times and I laugh each and every time! Love the outtakes and will probably be acting like this myself in 15 years or so! Good job Karen!

I'm from Indiana/Germany but moved to Sarasota/Bradenton in 2002. I volunteer at a small National Park in Bradenton, the DeSoto National Memorial. One winter I got on the loud speaker and jokingly asked for all the people from Michigan to go home. Their state was EMPTY. What would Michiganers do without I 75? :-)

What a great idea!!! I think I will do a parody song about senior citizens "resorts" because I would have SO MUCH COMEDY MATERIAL to work with. Like when they get mad about their neighbors dogs barking or peeing in their yard... and the gossip that goes on is worse than back in middle school.! Great idea. i left ft myers in 2006 after 25 years of snowbirds. i learned to love to hate em... but after all... we'll all be there someday. this was a lot of fun. i'm sitting in my california studio looking out into my courtyard and the endless rain before christmas. make the most of wherever you are and have a wonderful holiday season with those you love... family and family of choice. cheers from fresno!

Yes, that's me singing.. if I'd have known so many people would be watching I'd probably have tried harder.. lol. We recorded it in my friends garage studio, no effects or over dubbing, just sang it and then I told my folks and my friends to meet me in the Target parking lot and I filmed it in one day and then posted it on Youtube.!

Holy Cow, I live beachside and am swarmed by these people constantly. hehe (Who can be annoyed at them when they are like most of our parents...!) My favorite part was the little white heads peeping over the steering wheels...awesome. Keep up the good work! :)
That's really cute. We bought a Bed and Breakfast in Avon Park, which is about an hour and a half south of Orlando and all we heard about when we first got here a year ago was about the "snowbirds" so we found this to be really funny. Great job Karen! thanks, and you have a beautiful voice.
I live in Hollywood and the population of my city doubles this time of year. I have quit taking 95 at traffic time. I just take US 1 up anywhere from now until April. I don't mind the tourists truly, I would do the same thing if I lived up north and had the means to go somewhere warm for the winter, I do wish they drove a little faster though or didn't drive in the left lane or used a GPS instead of suddenly cutting off all 5 lanes of traffic on 95 because their exit suddenly came up.:)
You should add the term "Early Bird Spoecial", switching egg's Xtra large to medium, and the best of all a Snow bird shaking a can of Tuna in Publix, he told me the one with less noise has nore tuna in it.

We have been Snowbirds ourselfs and this is way too funny and true. Just sad also with this accident in Winter Haven with the deputy killed by a 79yr old and a run a way SUV.

i had to laugh since i also live in florida. it's the "gray -haired state", "geriatric state" and the state bird should be the "snow bird'. i think it's great the wonderful ladies and gentlemen in this video did this in love and fun. they probably aren't the ones i get upset at. thanks for the great video!

Live a couple of miles from The Shell factory and thoroughly enjoyed this. After being a Snow Bird for 20 years, we moved down in 2000 and joined the resident Sun Birds. Ain't it great! Loved the song!

A wonderful comedic film that is just perfect for this time of year. We all need to be more tolerant and laugh more...Kudos for the seniors who spiffed themselves! The parking lot scene with the senior driving around and around with this little silver-haired man peering vicariously over the staring wheel was spot on!!! OH and the "SNOWBIRDS" who haul your dog around.... DON'T please leave your dog at home... FL is one of the worse for dogs getting overheated even in the winter here in FL... It only takes 5 mins for a car to get to hot for your pet... Oh and if you do it and I am around I do call Animal Control about your pet.... this and riding a dog in the back of a pickup not attached to where they can not get over the side (when hot or cold) are 2 of my pet peeves...

@DammitDrag OMG, my husband and I live in Central FL and watched the older couple search all over the parking lot for their they went through six lanes yelling and whining at each other and when they did find it, it was bright yellow with a MI tag...we laughed for days. Even though this happened about five years ago whenever we go anywhere with a parking lot we think of them and hope it's not us someday. lol

i left ft myers in 2006 after 25 years of snowbirds. i learned to love to hate em... but after all... we'll all be there someday. this was a lot of fun. i'm sitting in my california studio looking out into my courtyard and the endless rain before christmas. make the most of wherever you are and have a wonderful holiday season with those you love... family and family of choice. cheers from fresno!

Yes, that's me singing.. if I'd have known so many people would be watching I'd probably have tried harder.. lol. We recorded it in my friends garage studio, no effects or over dubbing, just sang it and then I told my folks and my friends to meet me in the Target parking lot and I filmed it in one day and then posted it on Youtube.!
I am working on a few other parody songs with video so stay tuned.. I think they will be equally hilarious.

Holy Cow, I live beachside and am swarmed by these people constantly. hehe (Who can be annoyed at them when they are like most of our parents...!) My favorite part was the little white heads peeping over the steering wheels...awesome. Keep up the good work! :)

That's really cute. We bought a Bed and Breakfast in Avon Park, which is about an hour and a half south of Orlando and all we heard about when we first got here a year ago was about the "snowbirds" so we found this to be really funny. Great job Karen! thanks, and you have a beautiful voice.

I live in Hollywood and the population of my city doubles this time of year. I have quit taking 95 at traffic time. I just take US 1 up anywhere from now until April. I don't mind the tourists truly, I would do the same thing if I lived up north and had the means to go somewhere warm for the winter, I do wish they drove a little faster though or didn't drive in the left lane or used a GPS instead of suddenly cutting off all 5 lanes of traffic on 95 because their exit suddenly came up.:)

You should add the term "Early Bird Spoecial", switching egg's Xtra large to medium, and the best of all a Snow bird shaking a can of Tuna in Publix, he told me the one with less noise has nore tuna in it.

Live a couple of miles from The Shell factory and thoroughly enjoyed this. After being a Snow Bird for 20 years, we moved down in 2000 and joined the resident Sun Birds. Ain't it great! Loved the song!

Good job, and certainly very true. Don't know anyone who couldn't relate, whether year-round resident or snowbird.
I lived in Eustis (Lake County) for 15 years but was pretty well familiar with Lady Lake, The Villages, Orlando, Winter Park, and Lakeland.
Still miss many friends there. And now that I'm back in my native Hoosier state, think it's about time to become a snowbird.

A wonderful comedic film that is just perfect for this time of year. We all need to be more tolerant and laugh more...Kudos for the seniors who spiffed themselves! The parking lot scene with the senior driving around and around with this little silver-haired man peering vicariously over the staring wheel was spot on!!! They definately are back , that's for sure ! When I venture to the beach , it's packed & i'm not gettin' in that water ! I've been down here too long ! I need near 80* water , for me to swim . But , the people are lined up on the beach , soaking up the sunshine anyway !

OH and the "SNOWBIRDS" who haul your dog around.... DON'T please leave your dog at home... FL is one of the worse for dogs getting overheated even in the winter here in FL... It only takes 5 mins for a car to get to hot for your pet... Oh and if you do it and I am around I do call Animal Control about your pet.... this and riding a dog in the back of a pickup not attached to where they can not get over the side (when hot or cold) are 2 of my pet peeves...
