Ok so my question is can I run Win 7 and OS X snow leapord at the same time through parallels without it being slow on a 2.66ghz Core 2 Duo processor of the MacBook Pro 13" with 8GB RAM??? Im also wanting to run Halo 2 on it. Will it lag? Core 2 Duo 2.66ghz is good right? And 8GB RAM should keep it running fast too right? I just dont want to spend $500 extra to have a Core i7 and so Im just wondering. Im trying to buy a complete computer setup and $500 doesent help get it done with a weekend job

@iJonny015 Windows 7 should run pretty fast on your setup (especially considering Parallels 6 which just came out 2 days ago), however Halo 2 will probably be pretty laggy unless you're in Bootcamp. If I were you I'd spend the extra $500 for the i7 - it's a great investment for the future.

@MrSquabbles Thanks! I think thats a good idea to just go with the core i7 so Ill just save up a little longer after I get the first portion that would pay for the 13" Core 2 Duo. I think just spending the extra money is gonna be the only staisfying option and the large monitor and extra wireless apple keyboard and all the "full desktop experience" stuff can wait just a bit longer. Everyone on the web has had the advice of the core i7 so Ill go with that! Thanks!

no macs are good for gaming. Mac's are used for creating. Not games. Like i photo you can create calanders,cards,ect.

Garage band - creating music.

Iweb - creating websites.

Games for mainly for windows.

hey man how do you get windows 7 to boot so fast on parallels??

it takes like 2 mins on mine to boot.. and i assigned 2 gb ram to parallels on my 4gb MBP.....

Oh... I actually cut out most of the boot up time so that the video wouldn't go over 10 minutes.

install parallels Tools... I had the same problem but as soon as i installed parallels tools it ran with internet etc.

i  use bootcamp and so does the rest of my school that recieve free laptops, e all got macs but are used 2 windows lol - btw bootcamp allows u to add another system like windows on the same compture :P

Only problem (besides the frustration built into Windows) is the loops in Microsofts download sites. "To download W7, click here" Result:"file not found". Man!!!

I must say that windows 7 is really good I tried it and it is faster than vista and i found it faster than xp too... Windows 7 is going to be successful I bet... vista just sucked... too bloated..
