  • haha, I just saw the officer that made contact with the ground on that dragnet jump. She told me about it while on T-2, she was right, that was epic lol. Thats funny shit right meow (if your seeing this ma'am reply back)

  • British Commandos / Soldiers do NOT get a harness on either the Tarzan assault course or Tripezium.

  • What's the text from?

  • mixturerich... if you didnt get the harnesses what kept people from falling and dying on this course?

  • Yeah, well, so is your spelling... =)

It's the theme from "Chariots of Fire" by Vangelis. Never seen the movie?

  • greatest motivational song ever

  • I just got back from USMC OCS. We didn't get any harnesses or helmets on our course. We did that shit in boot and utes. It was an awesome time though and no one fell.

  • British Marines? lol. We had to go and save them with our Marines in WW2.

  • And where was that exactly?

  • I loved this course when I ran it. Its just amazing. And the Chiefs supervising it were awesome. Wish I could do it again. and the final scene is great.

  • Punch your arm through the netting, and your not going to fall. Never seen anyone just try to jump and catch the netting. Sure fire way to get injured and loss time.

  • why dont they try and do all that with out being fixed up and safe take a look at what the british royal marines have to do......

  • You can't really compare Marines to Midshipmen. US Marines also have a "confidence course" without ropes or harnesses, with even higher obstacles of 30 feet or more.

  • well if they are staying on a ship why even bother doing that course

  • "Midshipmen" are merely college students who are training to become officers later on. Any of those kids could end up on subs or ships, flying planes, or as Marines. What you see here is simply their indoctrination training, basically giving them a taste of what they'd do later on if they did decide to join the Marine Corps.

  • am rite fair enoughf its jsut that i didnt know what a "midshipmen" was.....

  • haha, the TARAN course at ocs didn't have any harness's. The navy really loves their midshipmen enough to give them some. All in the name of good fun though

  • Is Naval Academy the only school that does this confidence course because i'm going to be in the Navy ROTC program at University of San Diego and I don't know if there's a confidence course here too but when I start my training i'll be at MCRD San Diego for a weekend for who knows what's going on then the rest of the time i'll be at USD.

  • All military branches are on the same side. We are all fighting for the same thing. So putting down another branch of military, because maybe they don't do this or that is just a waste of your time. In any branch you are in is a commitment to serve your country and to honor your country.

  • smkigin made this video to show other people what this course is like. If you don't like it, then leave. I'm sure the creator of this video doesn't have time for you to just sit on your ass making fun of others to seek personal advancement. You are the definition of Selfish.

  • Yo idiots, the armed forces are great it is like a sports team each branch does different essential duties.. I feel this way, Its the same courage when a soilder or a marine gets shot on the field. Its the same bravery when a pilot gets shot down and when a sailor goes down at sea. Every single serviceman should have respect for eachother for they love and serve the same country which takes courage, loyalty, intregrity etc...

  • This is so funny, these guys are useing safety lines!!! Last time I did the ARMY course we had SGTs shaking anything we had to balance on and we had NO safety lines only cut up duce tires on the ground! Army Combat Engineers/Sappers are alot better then any Navy man even the silly looking Navy guys with "guns":)

  • on the 8th day god created the marines the devil stood to atention A (r) (m) y RM roayl marines

  • My experience has been that only non-graduates (or graduates who were sub-par performers) take the rivalry with their service academy brothers to a derogatory level. Any successful graduate with a modicum of class treats the inter-service jokes merely as a fond reminder of their midshipman/cadet days. Plus, anyone successful grad is sure to have plenty of friends from the other academies ... just my thoughts on the comments above.

  • Johnandre, you stink. Im not really 60 something, so I can totally say this... lol.

    GO NAVY! BEAT ARMY!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • Wow navy, you suck. Let's FIRE IT UP

  • Wow... Somehow I doubt you're 49 years old like your profile says... and if you are, perhaps you should reevaluate your life and figure out why you waste your time trolling YouTube to post immature comments that are completely impertinent to the contents of the video... Got any other brilliant feedback?

  • Thanks for the quality advice. I guess I'll just have to curb my uncontrolled addiction to trolling YouTube for videos that prove to the world how great squids are.

  • Wow...AMAZING sarcasm. Fucktard.
