This was my First MMO, I thought it was so amazing, i was an Iksarian Fighter (up to Shadow Knight) it was so amazing just playing it, now I'm a WoW Player, but to be honest i want to go back, Ever Quest 2 Forever

Ha I remember playing EQ1 when I was 12... The old theme tune doesn't get me for some reason - but the remade EQ2 song gets me every time. Never thought I'd get nostalgic over an MMORPG. I was only 12 too, I just used to remake characters over and over and probably only got to level 25 at my highest. I'm glad I didn't really get to the highest level because it takes the mystery out of it when you're younger.

So many memories associated with this song. Who here remembers archetype-class-subclass paths, the ORIGINAL Isle of Refuge, running around Antonica for the first time being blown away, scarecrow groups by the North Qeynos gate, AND by The Thundering Steppes gate?

Ah, sometimes it's good to go back and re-visit old times. Nothing compares to the way this game was at launch. Yes, there were bugs and flaws, but it was still incredibly special back then. I'd do anything to play a launch version.

I don't like EQ or EQ 2 as a game. I myself have played wow for around 5 years and WoW has some great music but I can honestly say I'm jealous WoW doesn't have EQ's music, or this piece in particular. Fantastic music thanks for posting!

@cooleobrad1337 If you've been playing WoW for 5 years, I'm going to assume you never played EQ in it's day. And for that, I pity you. I've played WoW since launch, and EQ months after its launch.

To liken the two is to liken a great family outing to the Grand Canyon to a pleasant family meal. One is nice, but the other surpasses all expectations and will stay in your memories forever.

THIS GAMES AWESOME!, the only MMO where you can actually fight whatever you see and level up from it without actually having to quest all the time!, and have your health fully restored after like, every kill! :D

Deinately agree..something about the majestic start, to the empowering overture makes this possibly the best composed piece of any MMO, dare I say, any GAME on the market...no song encapsulates the pure feel of it's game better than Everquest 1 and 2. The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion is a very very close second...

I still remember it, I really do, the long hours, the journeys..The sitting on the dock, and talking to whomever passed, sometimes even getting joined, and just talking until the boat arrived, and even after the boat arrived, about the world, and experiences.

A truly wonderful time.

EQ 2 never lived up to expectations. I didn't like the overdone bit mapping... everything looked like shiny plastic.

The lore and stories never gelled like EQ 1. All in all it was just not up to par.

used to play EQ2 but i moved on to Wow once my ACC got stolen somehow and i couldnt get the damn thing back. i didint want to lvl all the way again lol but i like Wow's pvp system a bit more but there are many things i miss about this game that are not in Wow. great music brings back lots of memories :D
