i remember when i was little.every time we passed the highway thunder road was to our left. i loved it and always asked my parents to take me..GO CAROWINDS!! I LOVE THE WAVE POOL TOO.

This coaster.... don't ride in the back seat... unless you like to get snapped going down the hills. Especially the first hill.

Love this ride..A true classic. I thought it was pretty tame, by today's standards, but a kid got sick after riding this ride and puked going down the exit ramp yesterday. And I about stepped in it, Yuck. I guess I should watch where I step. That old coaster still has some snap in it's tail.

Last time I rode this it shook soooo bad...I felt sick afterwards and kinda swore off wooden roller coasters for awhile. XD

I hope they upgrade it to metal or something so it's smoother--it's really a fun coaster. :/

Hmm Can anyone help me with a problem I have with rollercoasters? I get motion sickness when i ride them but...I want to ride them so bad without getting sick..I have tried all the medications for Motion sickness but they dont work. All they do is make you really tired. Anybody have any ideas so when my family goes t ocarowinds this summer I can ride something without lying down sick in the parking lot green as a cucumber plz or sitting there watching everyone else have fun.

I was at Carowinds on Tuesday and road in this exact seat, right up front. When we got to the top the coaster got stuck. We were right at the top of the hill for about a minute before they fixed it. I was SO scared, but the rest of the ride was great! lol. (I had rode it like 4 other times that day)

When did they switch the forward train to that side? I moved right after they made one side backwards and I thought it was that track... Awesome racer, Thunder Road is a bigger version of the Racers..
