Really? How about endentured white servants. They were to serve their masters for a period of 7 years for little pay and after their tenure, they were to be free. They got their wish. I totally agree that there ARE other forms of slavery. On one side, my ancestors were slaves; on another, they were sharecroppers. One must note, however, that not all slaves were black, and there were black slaveowners. And slavery for the African originally started in Africa. (Things aren't always black and white.
