@999tnc the only reason why Brawn was so competitive the 1st part of the season was they had ALOT longer to develop their 09 car, later in the season the other guys caught up. If brawn ran into 2010 theyd only be competing with ferrari for 3rd in the constructers...

Rubens is much better than Jeson, I have no doubt about that. The problem was that Rubens was stopped three times in starts and had to change a gearbox in a race for this problem in starts. Then there was that problem poorly explained in the Turkish Grand Prix when his car was hitting the rev limiter on the straights.

Unfortunately when Rubens began winning races the car Brawn was no longer the best then could not get many points from Jenson.

Can't argue with that. I still think Barrichello's at least as good. Just remember that in 2009, Button was very lucky and Barrichello not very much so. Also in 2008 Barrichello was infinitely the better driver.

@Anime998877 - in 2006, button annihilated barrichello as he did in 2007, as well. 2008 was the only year in their 4 year partnership where barrichello outperformed button and barrichello was helped along massively by that lucky podium in britain.

in 2009 (which is always going to be the year people remember most of all), button, without the weight of the world on his shoulders was definitely the superior driver. once the title was lifted, button was back to form in abu dhabi for example.

Rubens drove a lot of incredible races in the wet in all these years. Silverstone 2008 is just one of them.

I agree that Jenson is a superior driver, but luck definitely does not come to it in the case of Rubens's race in Silverstone 2008.
