I personally liked John L. I thought he was a solid coach who put a good and competitive team out on the field. His main flaw was keeping the team motivated after a big loss early on. This was the story almost every season.

Dantonio is the man though.

Notre Dame will get back up there eventually. This year was expected to be a crap year, no doubt about it. I love the Irish as much as my Alma Mater (Arizona), but I know how to be a realistic fan too. Give the Irish two years and they'll be back in a BCS bowl and hopefully win for once
