In the end, it's all opinion. Personally, I like Ivan's Motograter much more than FFDP. Why? I feel they are far more original, inventive, and mature than FFPD, who seems very musically bland and lyrically childish to me. That is my opinion.
Midnight is right about the name, listen at the beginning of the song, and during the like breakdownish parts... You hear that whirling like a saw, well haha, is them using the motograder.
@MERTx123 they used guitar parts but instead of conventional strings they used industrial cable. You can really hear it in their first album, Indy. I'm not sure but I don't think they had a lead for Indy, I think it was just the Motograter.

Not so. The motograter is their substitute for a bass guitar.
That's just a keyboard/sample sound effect.
