  • scorpion deathlock !!!!! yeah

  • Wow that was almost as good as Piper & Mr T's boxing match...lol...I can only imagine what would have happened had Sting faced Butterbean. That could have gotten ugly.

  • Hes wearing sparing gear, hes not out to break his or his oppents bones! Sting has trained for safe wrestling, all those wrestlers do. That is how many of them can stay in the buisness for so long. Honestly Sting got hit with many things he shouldnt have been hit by. Needs to work on speed and blocking!

  • keep clicking on 2:27 lol

  • i didn't know sting fought sho nuff

  • i tried watching UFC or MMA watever i was bored from the minute they started huggin eachother the fans was dull no cheering cant see how people watch it no entertainment at all

  • @djmac3005

damn straight. at least this sport fusion is full on. the boxer WEARS BOXING GLOVES!!!!

  • @mrmeanero lol, ikr it makes boxers look retarded XD

  • @mrmeanero lol, ikr it makes boxers look retarded XD boxers get lost when a wrestler throws the half way across the ring

  • I completely fail to see the point of worked shoot matches. Mind you, I went to an Inoki IGF show once, dull as all balls, but the crowd were popping huge for simple things, and bodyslams were finishes.. If it ever got popular the workers would love it, but any fan with sense would either watch wrestling or real fighting.

  • @NotPotter Spot on analysis. I liken the difference between MMA and pro wrestling to the difference between a soap opera and professional baseball. Baseball fans don't want to see the cast of General Hospital act like baseball players, they want the real thing. And soap fans don't want to see their favorite actors pretend to play a sport, they want to see an actual soap opera.

Speaking only for myself, I'm a huge fan of both pro wrestling and MMA but this match was terrible by either standard.

  • Is it sad that I actually thought this was legit until I saw the hiptoss?

  • Ohhh This Is The Worst Worked Match In 1995 That Sting Had. I Was Lookin 4 This Match..

  • To anyone confused by this match, this was a Japanese shoot-wrestling match. The outcome IS predetermined, but the matches tend to be a bit more realistic/full contact than American pro wrestling.

  • in MMA or in UFC,,,is the Scorpion deathlock of sting is legal or illegal???

  • @cooldiesel316

I don't see why it would be illegal, but it'd be impossible to pull it off in a real fight.

  • @cooldiesel316 legal but it wouldnt really hunt unles it was locked in for a long time

  • Looks like late 94/early 95 before he faded the blond out.

  • Ive seen some bad fights. This isn't the worst ive seen, but its near the bottom on the barrel.

  • Who's the kickboxer?

  • @deblobwii Tony Palmore

  • WTF is this? Is this even real? Well, at lest Sting won, lol.

  • i think they just paid a crack head to go a few rounds.....

  • what the hell was i watching

i know sting wanted to punch in the face for real

that guy keep kicking him in the head

  • not proper ufc or mma just japenese mixed martial art fighting. not pride fighting either.

  • No, it is strong style pro-wrestling.

  • hell its not even japanese mma its more like a kickboxer vs pro wrestler. set up think they watched Rocky too many times

  • This couldn't have been 1996..cuz by 1996 the blonde was fading away...this must be like 1992

  • thank you i meant to add it had to be before bash at the beach in 96 or before he went to the crow sting in 96

  • A worked shoot is still a work.

  • haha yes he is hitting him xD

    but its fake

  • I dont think a sharpshooter is legal in MMA.

  • sure it is

  • It's very legal. Just not too practical.

  • @abstractheart1 Lots of stuff is legal in MMA, outside of crotch shots & shots to the throat. I think direct shots to the spine are NOT legal in Pride but don't quote me on that.

  • Is he fighting a UFC fighter???

  • I'd like to see someone use the scorpian death lock in UFC. LOL.

  • Sakuraba actually tried to use it in one of his early matches in Pride. He used it in his pro wrestling days aswell.

  • at 2:26, does the ref accidentaly hits sting? :D

  • Yea Nice Spot LMAO

  • @TheRealAxelFury yes he do xD

  • WCW struck a deal to exchange talent with japan in the early 1990's, so I'm guesing this was Mid to late 1995,

  • "my cousin knocked a dude out once and put him in a sharpshooter. so it is feesible. "

I'd love to see video of that.

  • u know, i watch japan wrestlings are prety borinnnnnnngggggggg

they like to retard the match

n do some boring stuff such as hug together for a couple seconds etc

  • what the hell was the point to that???

  • I love Sting but, that was retarded

  • awsome fight

  • this is most likley before 1992 because his old music is playing.

  • Agree.

  • this is probably from 95, as in 96 sting has his hair a little big bigger - not that much bigger - and already brown

  • The commentators sound like Japanese Tenay and Bobby "the brian" Heenan, it so weird. LOL.

    Salute.

  • He has blonde hair its before 1996

  • is this real?

  • obviously not, sting ends the fight in a scorpion death lock

  • my cousin knocked a dude out once and put him in a sharpshooter. so it is feesible.

  • It's shit like this that almost killed NJPW. Inoki is a cunt.

  • where was the match held?

  • @OlviMasta77 The Tokyo Dome

  • this had to be late 94 or 95

  • i was thinkin the same, becuz by 96 he was already the scorpion look.....it may have been held even earlier than that but idk for sure.

  • haha

sting was getting a hiding... but good on him for letting the other guy hit him.
