One of my friends in school took a load of his classmates to see this, for his 8th birthday, back when it first came out. I was invited, but I didn't go, because they also went swimming, and I was embarrassed about not being able to swim. I ended up waiting another couple of years, before my family bought a VCR, and I rented it.

I got the DVD years ago, but the beginning always got over-scanned.

Ever since I saw this movie as a kid, I always imagined painting one of the vehicle decals on a futuristic vehicle like a domed recumbent bicycle or an albatross glider and blasting the theme on portable speakers.
