  • excuse me but i really really want to known this piece, it's so beautiful

  • do you remember the name? please. i like this piece and i love the new channel too

  • can you tell me names of this song and names of who composed it? please. thanks for uploading

  • @masterclassicalmusic The piece is composed by Vasily Kalinnikov. I can't remember the name of the piece. When I find the disk, I will tell you.

  • @DarkRaimundo I would like to inform you that the background music is called: Dance of the Amazon, Op. 65, and was composed by Anatol Konstantinovich Liadov.

I would also like to thank you for the idea of the Unknown Musical Masters Channel, and Vasily S. Kalinnikov, the composer you've mentioned also deserves to be explored in a later update of the channel, his two symphonies are works of a real musical genius.

  • Excellent - beautiful.

  • Great!!

  • What about unknown living composers? Like... idk, say someone said they were going to play a piano piece, say... a sarabande, by a living composer, and that person received the score, promising to upload it, but then never did?

    ;-)

  • Haha! I know what you mean :). Don't say never. I will upload it soon!

  • Scratch that, it sounds Spanish. De Falla? Only Spanish composer I know... Doubt it's him though.

  • Nope, Its not a Spanish Composer, Its a Russian composer, even though it sounds a bit Spanish Haha!

  • Is it Arensky?

  • Madness, this can't be Russian!

    Glinka?

  • :)) Nice promotional video! Clever advertising method!... :)) I'll have a look on the channel right now.

  • A very good introduction video to our project, a lot better than my introduction! Now for the question.... Balakerev? Taneyev? Borkiewicz? Lyapunov? Any of those?!

  • Haha! none of those... He is a composer I have never mentioned on my channel. All I'm going to say is that you are on the right track.

  • Ok then..... erm..... Cui?! No, he wrote mainly for small groups.... erm.... I will have a think! So is he/she russian?

  • Yes! The person who composed this piece is not well known, an "unknown master" . I'll give you a clue, he only composed two symphonies.

  • Vasily Kalinnikov?

  • Hahaha! Correct!! How did you know? You didn't scan it with itunes did you? Haha!

  • The two symphonies hint gave it away! It was either him, or Arensky from my knowledge. And you didn't react on Arensky, so it had to be him.

  • Well done muesk3! Loads more small competitions like this will be on the Unknown Musical Masters soon!

  • Haha!! Well that narrows it down then!! You have been championing a lot of lesser known russians recently... hmmm.... my money is on one of those!! It sounds a lot like Rimsky Korsakov?? But is that too obvious?? (Steven scratches his head...) Okay, I'm going to go out on a limb and say Taneyev!! But, I'm probably wrong!! At the very least I'm going to say it's a russian / ukrainian!! lol

  • Okay, put us out of our misery and reveal the composer of this piece!!!! lol

  • Hahaha! Thats for you to find out! I wil give you a clue, he's not German.
