  • I've always heard that Neurosis was a huge influence on Mastodon. Having listened to this, I can definitely see it it. Especially the stuff on Remission.

  • The apocalypse in 7 minutes and 37 seconds.

  • Cool song, esp. the part starting at around 4 mins, but I really love the the cover art. The way the picture here is all washed out and blurry actually makes it work even better.

  • WOW!!

  • WOW!!

  • i find this song playing over and over again for hours.

and the next moment i realize it was me who was hitting the replay button.

  • this is incredible! thumbs-up.

    I want more like buttons!!!

  • this is incredible! thumbs-up.

  • "...ALL THINGS ARE BROKEN' BRING IN THE CIRCLE

  • mmmm sludge

  • 3:19-5:00 will take ahold of you and not let you go

  • I have seen Neurosis every time they have come to Seattle, and they played this song in their set-list at the 12/30 show. Well the monster riff that happens at about 3;20, was absolutely the HEAVIEST thing I have ever heard in my entire life. I have heard the song countless times before but, LIVE the guitar tones of Von Till and Kelly, absolutely severed heads. Im still traumatized by what went down, AMAZING!

  • @jkolash How was the band YOB? Did you enjoy them too?

  • @NOodleFISH72 YOB is the shit!

  • @NOodleFISH72 I was at the 12/30 show, only. Neurosis was supported by Black Breath and Wolves in the Throne Room. YOB played the 12/31 show, only. However, I am seeing Neurosis w/ YOB on 9/10 in portland, ill let ya know how they are live.

  • @jkolash I agree, so fucking heavy LIVE. My body almost died.

  • @jkolash- You are 100% right. I saw this back in...98?(when it was new) and that riff brought the fucking roof down. I was in the front row, and remember thinking "If I was holding a flower, it would INSTANTLY WILT". You could FEEL the sound cutting through and moving your organs around and shit. I've felt the "trauma" too, & I LOVED IT. I took an exgirlfriend to the show, and she was completely speechless afterwards, unable to process what she'd seen. My Youtube name says all

  • frantic as hell adn this is just a taster of what these guys might have in mind

  • Damn that riff that starts around 3:20 is so fucking heavvvyyyyyy! nice and angry song I'm liking it!

  • Whoa, this band is pure evil...

    And I love it!

  • this band is sick, they remind me of Gojira kinda

  • @asozansky remind you of Gojira??? how about gojira reminds you of neurosis?! they were around WWWAAAYYY before.

  • I HAVE the TIMES OF GRACE album cover TATTOOED ON MY ARM. I must be one crazy girl.

  • @at3am you're a badass chick lol hehehehe

  • @at3am ssswwweeeetttt, I want one haha

  • Saw them play this last night and my soul was crushed flat and I smiled.....

  • the main riff always reminds me of violent waves. wish i could figure out how to get that tone.

  • @HamerLamer Dude, I get the waves thing with this too. I always imagined a little boat in a massive storm. How weird is that.

  • Can't believe this has only this many hits

  • There's every other band that's existed on this planet... And then there's Neurosis...

  • Why does this band make you sick? These guys are hotter than bread!

  • This song has broken many spirits and awakened others.

  • @submoronicbomb Totally agree, their music is a force of nature, just colossal.

  • @submoronicbomb ...hell yes!

  • meh

  • 3.19 The heaviest riff of all time... fact!

I challenge anyone to find a darker piece of riffage than that... Epic!

  • 3:19 Mega doom masterpiece.....

  • Check out pretty much anything by Burning Witch.

  • @Hodgeon46 I like Neurosis , but sorry to say theirs a lot that come to par with that riff as far as being heavy and dark are. You must not listen to much music if you really believe theirs nothing more dark or heavy then that.

  • @Zeldabo146676 People have different definitions of what is dark or heavy. In terms of atmosphere, nothing can match the apocalyptic feeling that Neurosis can create.

  • I think I just came a little bit!

  • what a awesome flawless song, love Neurosis, where the hell can i buy this album/song

  • Probably my #1 favourite metal track of all time. It has everything that a woman might ever want! Massive in every way. Massive. Massive!

  • Oh hello, woman who likes good music. Haha, just messing. But I do concur, Neurosis is awesome.

  • this band make me sick!!

  • Comment removed

  • no dude, that's kind of gay. If that's the first image that come's to your mind, I'd be worried. I'm just fucking with you, don't get pissed. I'd hate to know what image this comment brought to your mind!

  • goddam I still have never heard a crunch like that one. sounds like the guitar is made of tin foil. Amazing!

  • There isnt a song I dont like. but yes to edd Neurosis are just something special

  • first time i've heard them. reminds me of Harkonen. therefore = very fucking good indeed.

  • totally unresistable. kills me inside

  • The crunch of the main guitar lick on this song sounds like nothing I've ever heard before. Steve Albini (producer) is a master, and I bet he had a lot to do with it. I prefer the album "Through Silver and Blood" but this is my favorite Neurosis song. Makes me see the world in ruins. KNow what I mean? Anyone on the same page as me?

  • nope

  • lol

  • i totally do man, this shit kills. it sounds like everything goood in the world is being destroyed with every note that plays

  • Oh yes, I can imagine myself floating above earth as humanity tears itself asunder then the clouds cover the carnage (the mellow bits of the song) and then when the main riff kicks back in the clouds disperse and I can see the hell below once once more hahaha. Neurosis are something special indeed.

  • very cool

  • nice

  • I love this comment

  • @Edd731 Fuck yeah, dude!

  • @MeatyCockandBallz "grins" lol

  • I am... this is also one of my favorites. I prefer "enemy of the sun" but I love all there stuff and its the one band that never gets old to me.

  • @alejandro15187 I was only saying the other day that the timbre of the guitar isn't to dissimilar to the sound created by Albini (particularly) in Shellac. glad to see more people appreciating Albini's phenomenal talent

  • @alejandro15187 fully.

  • This is the first song I heard and the first Neurosis album I bought. This album has such atmosphere. Superb!

  • CLASSIC

  • FEAR EYES CONTAIN LIGHT IN MY SOUL

  • man this song kills. Every crunch of the guitar sounds like a car being destroyed. Luv it

  • FUCK YEAH BROTHER!!!

  • just ordered this album. sounds like a good one from em
