  • Does anyone know when the 4th and later seasons will be available on DVD?

  • @ispeakczech I haven't heard yet, although I keep checking. I so want to see them clearly again. And imagine what they'd look like fully restored and on an HDTV. I usually post bulletins from time to time re: the Petticoat stuff. And plan on putting one out as soon as I find out they've been made available.

  • @1964nickel Oh yeah, I can't imagine either what they would be like in clear vision. But, in the mean time, thank you so much for posting these episodes! I haven't watched them in years and I just discovered your channel today. I think I have watched like 5 already! (I forgot how much I loved this show!) I don't understand what's taking them so long to get these on DVD being it is such a marvelous show, but I appreciate you checking on it so we all can get them as soon as they come out! :)

  • @ispeakczech These are all on a playlist of course by order of original airdate. I have more episodes, but the problem is they are on the harddrive of a computer that went kaput about two weeks ago. I don't have the original VHS tapes or the DVDs either. Long story. And until I can retrieve the files from the HD it may be a while before new ones are uploaded. I will do all I can do get them there. Have 1/2 of Season 6 and all of Season 7. So keep your fingers crossed. And enjoy what IS up. lol

  • @1964nickel Sure hope you can recover those files :) Really enjoying what you have uploaded so far. Brings back so many good memories. Dying to see Seasons 6 & 7 as that is what I remember most. :) Will keep my fingers crossed that you did not loose your files. Oh, BTW I am also a HUGE old school GH fan :) :) Luke/Laura and my all time favorite GH couple IS Robert/Holly :) :) :)

  • @lkhjc80 Managed to get an error code finally. And I think the hard drive itself is okay. From the code it appears the problem is elsewhere thank god. *sigh* And nice to meet another GH fan!! :-} Fell in love with the show because of Lesley and Laura back in the day, and was a big Scotty and Laura fan at first. Well, STILL adore Kin of course. lol Loved Robert and Holly too. Even Luke kinda grew on me. ;-} lol

  • @ispeakczech I would love to know the same thing also

  • @ispeakczech I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see it happening. I'll be first in line if they are released though.

  • There were two thunderstorm scenes in this episode. Was Hooterville going through a stormy weather period or something?

  • It's dangerous for them to be flying up there during a thunderstorm. Hope that they didn't get struck by lightning.

  • @nanlisa I'm pretty sure after that kiss, they BOTH felt like they'd been struck by lightning. And maybe they were, you never know. :-}

  • I seem to remember from a Green Acres episode, that the Hooterville "weather forecasts" consisted of either Walter the Singing Weatherman or the Little Old Lady on top of the Pixley Car Wash, who always predicted opposite forecasts- LOL.

If I remember, Floyd was a Walter man and Charlie put his trust in the Little Old Lady. Needless to say, Mr. Douglas had a fit.

PJ Hooterville always seemed a little bit more sane than in Green Acres.

  • @bxktd Too true. I kind of think it was because GA was as seen through the eyes of city folk, while PJ was as seen through the eyes of long-time residents. Like the story about the city mouse and the country mouse. It was the same, if opposite, case with Beverly Hillbillies I think. In that case, it was the country mouse moving to the big city, and that was a bit crazy as well. I think PJ was the stable, sane sister to the boisterous GA and BH. But then I think too much. :-}

  • Keep your fingers crossed guys. Gonna try to upload tonight. It's been sticking so far, but I'm hopeful.

  • @1964nickel will you be uploading more today??

  • More please; as many late episodes as you can! Love 'em!

  • Please bear with me guys and gals. Been having some financial difficulties, and when I have had access to the internet, it's too slow to upload. Will get them all up eventually, though, I promise.

  • @1964nickel do you think you will have them uploaded by or before Christmas?

  • please upload more episodes with meredith mcrae

  • This was awkward as he was dating the oldest daughter at the time! My brother tried to marry a girl I dated first. I laughed when she said NO!

  • @vccstudents Well, this is TV after all. But I do have an episode from season 4 "The Eternal Rectangle" where Billie Jo tells her mother she isn't really as interested in Steve as she is in her future career, and she says it again in the second episode of season 5, "It's Not Easy to be a Mother". I'll put fthem both up when I can. It may be a while as the internet I use now is real slow and doesn't want to upload anything.

  • @1964nickel OK. I guess this show was to you what ther original "Star Trek" was/is to me! I know it was part of that Beverly Hillbillies era. Other than that, I couldn't tell you much about the show.

  • @vccstudents Actually Star Trek was that way for me too. To this day, my brother and I have a game of "who can guess the episode quickest" among the original 79 episodes. And most of the animated series as well, which should tell you something. I could talk for hours . . .

  • That was the town's drinking water!

  • @vccstudents The water was for the Cannonball. It was a steam locomotive.

  • @1964nickel OK, thanks. I didn't follow the show that closely!

  • I'm dying to see an episode in which Steve and Betty Jo sing the song "No Two People." I believe the episode is called, "Tune In Next Year" from Season 6. Does anybody happen to have that???

  • @kga406 I have it, but have been having some technical difficulties. It may be a month before I can get it all worked out, but when I do, I have all of seasons five, six and seven. Just bear with me guys.

  • I'm dying to see an episode in which Steve and Betty Jo sing the song "No Two People." I believe the episode is called, "Tune In Next Year" from Season 6. Does anybody happen to have that???

  • @kga406 "No Two People" had been previously done by Steve and BILLIE Jo in a season 4 episode, though I don't know which one. So it's one of those songs that were performed more than once. The song originated from the movie "Hans Christian Andersen" in which it was performed as a duet by Danny Kaye and French actress Renee("ZiZi") Jeannmaire. The aforementioned actress's English wasn't very good ,so both PJ versions(IMO anyway) are an improvement over the original

  • @kga406

Oh and by the way, "Tune In Next" year was SUPPOSED to be the series' final episode. The cast was CERTAIN that the show had been cancelled. At the episodes end Dr. Craig(June Lockhart) was about to take another job, and leave. But then she decides to stay when Steve and Betty Jo show her a note announcing that Kathy Jo will soon have a baby brother! The End. Or so we thought.

But then PJ was UNEXPECTEDLY renewed for season 7, and the Kathy Jo's little brother story line was forgotten!

  • @cmulwee001 And it sure is a jar to go straight from season 6 ending with a pregnant Billie Jo to season 7 with only kathy Jo too. Did get a few good Bobbie Jo episodes out of season 7 though.

  • @1964nickel

Yes, it was nice to see the ever so lovable Bobbie Jo take center stage much more often. In previous seasons mainly Billie and Betty got to be the centerpiece of the stories that revolved around the girl while Bobbie was just there.

Oh and Penny,I don't know if you get METV where you are, but they are showing the Gunilla Hutton episodes from season 3. If you've never seen them, now is your chance. This is when PJ was still a wacky sitcom.

The following year PJ would change forever..

  • @1964nickel ... Part 2 ... with Mike Minor joining the cast as Steve and Meredith Mac Rae taking over the Billie Jo character, in which the focus of the series would shift to singing and music, which had only been a background focus in the earlier years. Season 3, with Gunilla taking over for Jeannine, still had the wacky slapstick feel of the latter half of season 2. Gunilla looked as if she could have been Jeannine's sister, which is why she was chosen as her replacement..

  • @1964nickel ... Meredith, the third Billie Jo and the one most people remember ,was a total departure from the previous two girls. I wasn't there, but the story goes that Meredith did not want to play a 'dumb blonde" type, so the character totally changed.

I'd have to say I like the early years especially seasons 2 and 3 for their wild sometimes even cartoonish shenanigans that often set the tone for the series; and the later years for their lovely singing especially by the girls as a trio.

  • please upload the entire shows from season 5, 6 and 7! Thank you so much!

  • Another great one, please post more more more!!!LOL Thanks

I particularly like the shows from season 5, 6 and 7!!

  • @carolharrison123 Me too. I wasn't old enough to remember the earlier years, so I started really watching about season 6, but it went right into syndication, and I watched the color episodes for several years. But my favorites were always the episodes where Steve and Betty Jo fell in love. Kind of gave me hope, as I was a tomboy. And Steve was so yummy.

  • @1964nickel Steve and Betty Jo were my favorites too which is I why I particulary liked the latter seasons and I'm like you I don't remember the earlier seasons.
