Well, I'm not a huge Squirrelflight fan but I agree with Rushingwing. She pretended she didn't care about the three so Ashfur would let them live. yes,you have to see this from both sides. The tom she turned down and once had some feelings for(yes,i think she liked him as a friend)is now going to kill the three cats she loves like they are her own kits.she tried to get them free by "not caring".as for Ashfur,He really loved Squirrelflight,and it tore him apart when she left him.he realized that its not brambleclaws fault,he knew that no amount of begging from brambleclaw would bring squirrelflight back,that it was her choice.
