The shaving down thing was definatley an aspect that made the guitar's headstocks break. I've heard a lot of people's MKH's did that. I still might get a used one since they left, I was shocked to see them leave they looked like long time users.

I like the guitar, I think the fact that he twinked it towards easier/better performing is really neat. However I don't like the painting (maybe white with black borders would look better than cream and red) nor do I like the fact that he made it really heavy. I know he said that's his personal preference but, physically speaking, that will only help him get back/shoulder pains later on.
