I hated playing this game when I was younger because every time a Pikmin died I actually got a little sad over it.

Game ends and you get the bad ending (olimar dies, the pikmin carry his body back to the onion and he's reborn as one of them)

Your character in this game's kind of a jerk...I mean, really, he's just taking these pikmin he's friended throughout his entire journey, they've saved his life by fixing his ship...and he just tosses them at this monster without a care in the world. Nice guy... :P
