I love you, I have known I loved you for sometime . this seals the deal. 64 year old grandmother of 3, mother of 2, finds these ads phucking wrong. Sitting with my family on the sofas, comes an ad for Kotex, or such, and I cringe, mortified in front of the 3 year old with her hands on her hips staring at me to interpret. Good thing the 7 yr. old didn't practice her reading for the day in that magazine!

A number of years ago someone in my Amsterdam neighborhood tried to kill himself by sticking his head into an over: gas explosion, he survived his fall of three stories to the street; went on for further psychiatric help; 12 families lost their homes; the building was squatted (they broke into my home twice). This and other similar suicide stories has put me into the camp of 'You don't care about your life, why should I?' My sympathies go to those who have to deal with the consequences.

But there was that nagging 35% that was a bit of a bother so I posed this question, because I worry that in frustration people proposing solutions go to simplified ideas rather than the nuanced ones that work well. And the idea of '<women'='<govrn't' has been seriously discussed in liberal groups before. As a feminist I felt obligated to clarify.

@magichandpuppet The health care law (which I HAVE read btw) is only 1,500 pages when it is in the standard legislation draft format of 24 font and double spaced. It's about 500 pages if they printed it like a book. About the same as the last Harry Potter book. You should read it. It's not a particularly amazing peice of legislation but it has no resemblance to the complete lies that are routinely told about it.

Second, there is a thing called the Hyde Ammendment (look it up, dipshit) that affirmatively prohibits federal funding from going to abortions. And lastly President Obama signed Executive Order 13535 on 3/24/2010 reaffirming all of these policies. The feds are not giving money for abortions. You're a fucking liar.
