When paul said you need an interpretor he was saying if someone comes to speak who speaks another native language you need an interpretor. tongue also means language. I am totally tripping off of some of the comments responding to this video. Your relationship with God is "yours". Keep your mouths off of his annointed ones, (whether you feel they are or not.) You ask God to lead you and give you discernment of who you should listen to or how to praise. I am filled with the holy ghost I pray in tongues but I come from Canada and I am white and I don't act like this because I never had the cultural influence . @lucy9359 Very good that u brought this up. I'm African American, and I must say alot of what happens in our churches isn't necessarily the Holy Ghost but us acting emotionally. There are people in other cultures who have the Holy Ghost, operate in the gifts of the spirit, but you'll never see them dancing and shouting. We have to accredit spiritual things to the spirit and fleshy things to the flesh.

I, too, was raised in the C.O.G.I.C. and nothing has changed except the bodies speaking the same things in the same manner in the same type of pulpit.

@Cyyael i couldn't have said it better myself! i am in the pentecostal denomination, and even though i am still a young adult, i have observed and analyzed the culture there for many years. I know how it feels to have a spiritual praise break in the Spirit, but i always use to oppose the Spirit becuz i didn't want to end up like the hypocritical pple in my church only fakin it to make a scene and gain attention. GOD doesn't work that way, but the Spirit soon broke me, & i wish pple cud get this!

well of course a lot of stuff is due to emotionalism and a lot of it is learned behavior (particularly in the black church). Black people are a historically musical and creative people so a lot of stuff we do is bloated with vestiges of our natural and inherent creativity. Now it's possible to preach without hooping of course, but the hoop adds an effect. Basically, the louder the hoop and the deeper the bass the more we think some1 is anointed! hope i could help.

I am totally tripping off of some of the comments responding to this video. Your relationship with God is "yours". Keep your mouths off of his annointed ones, (whether you feel they are or not.) You ask God to lead you and give you discernment of who you should listen to or how to praise. Just like the Bible said there are some false prophets but still people got healed, delivered, and saved because they connected with God and not the vessell his word came from. God's sheep knows his voice.

If no one criticizes or even rebukes these men or women of the cloth, how then shall they be corrected?? Perhaps through the many people that see their entertaining and actor spirits those of you who are closest to them may be inspired to get them straight.

These so called Men of God have become "Puffer Fish".....all puffed up with air but once they step away from the microphone they don't have power to make a demon the size of a "pinhead" flee. Take away the Hammond B3, Drums, Cymbals, and Choir...most of these Churches would dry up from a lack of entertainment. I am filled with the holy ghost I pray in tongues but I come from Canada and I am white and I don't act like this because I never had the cultural influence . I preach the gospel every where I go but this is not Canadian so ya you can be filled with the holy ghost without going crazy because your over joyed/ Personally I believe this is black culture which I do approve of but don't believe white folk are going to act like this.

@lucy9359 Very good that u brought this up. I'm African American, and I must say alot of what happens in our churches isn't necessarily the Holy Ghost but us acting emotionally. There are people in other cultures who have the Holy Ghost, operate in the gifts of the spirit, but you'll never see them dancing and shouting. We have to accredit spiritual things to the spirit and fleshy things to the flesh.

There's the same, tired cliches, the same behavior, even the same tone of voice used...I've seen it since I was a child.
I, too, was raised in the C.O.G.I.C. and nothing has changed except the bodies speaking the same things in the same manner in the same type of pulpit.
I'm all for God operating how He sees fit, but too many times people are caught up in the culture of the pentecostal environment, and not so much in the Spirit of God.

@Cyyael i couldn't have said it better myself! i am in the pentecostal denomination, and even though i am still a young adult, i have observed and analyzed the culture there for many years. I know how it feels to have a spiritual praise break in the Spirit, but i always use to oppose the Spirit becuz i didn't want to end up like the hypocritical pple in my church only fakin it to make a scene and gain attention. GOD doesn't work that way, but the Spirit soon broke me, & i wish pple cud get this!

Keep your eyes on God and not the people because they can really be stuck in their ways. well of course a lot of stuff is due to emotionalism and a lot of it is learned behavior (particularly in the black church). Black people are a historically musical and creative people so a lot of stuff we do is bloated with vestiges of our natural and inherent creativity. Now it's possible to preach without hooping of course, but the hoop adds an effect. Basically, the louder the hoop and the deeper the bass the more we think some1 is anointed! hope i could help.
